David Cummins is a rare kind of human: musician, photographer, teacher, world traveller and someone who has managed to live an entire novel's worth of life simply by saying yes to it. We sat down together and ended up going everywhere: grief and healing through music, raising Zoe, seeing Pink Floyd and Queen live, recording Albanian polyphonic singers for his degree project, watching United beat Bayern in Barcelona '99, the flat earth phenomenon, socialism, Vietnam and why retirement holds zero appeal when you're truly alive. Having Ana as the second Pale Blu Dot Podcast guest was a real blessing. I see her as a spiritual sister, I look up to her and consider her journey an inspiration for all of us, especially from the angles of "making it" in a new country as an expat, but also making it as a female in a (still) male dominated industry. A music enthusiast like a lot of us round here, Ana's soul has a passionate life story to tell, and it's awesome to discover it together through this interaction (or how she likes to call it, "energy exchange").
