Teedra Moses on Sonny Mac World

Teedra Moses was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana to a gospel singer mother, Shirley Moses. She later moved to Los Angeles, California with her mother and three siblings after her parents' separation. Prior to becoming a recording artist, Moses worked with her best friend Nonja McKenzie as an assistant wardrobe stylist for artists such as Will Smith, Kelis, R. Kelly, and No Doubt. It was after breaking her leg on a video set that Moses decided to follow her heart and begin making music. Following this epiphany, Moses teamed up with producer, Paul Poli and signed with the Number 1 Indie Record Label, TVT Records to release her debut album Complex Simplicity in August 2004. Complex Simplicity included fourteen tracks all self-penned by Moses with dominant production by Poli; which lead to the well deserved executive production credit by both Moses & Poli. The album underperformed on the U.S. chart, debuting and peaking at number one hundred and sixty-eight on the Billboard 200. However, the album was “Critically Acclaimed” and otherwise found success on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, the Top Independent Albums, and the Top Heatseekers, reaching number twenty, number eleven, and number ten, respectively. In addition to executive producing and penning all the lyrics on her own project, Moses has written songs for other artists including Nivea, Christina Milian, Mary J. Blige and a host of others. She was featured on and co-wrote two songs from Raphael Saadiq's 2004 album Ray Ray, "Chic" and "I Want You Back". Her songs have been showcased in the Logo series Noah's Arc as well as in the HBO hit show Entourage, movies such as Never Die Alone, Beauty Shop, and Be Cool. Rasheeda has been recording songs since 2001. She started out as a member of the teenage hip-hop trio Da Kaperz, which was signed to D-LO Entertainment and is still who Rasheeda is signed with to this day. When D-LO decided to launch her solo career they joined forces with Motown Records and released her solo first album Dirty South in 2001. The album contained the Dirty South anthem, “Do It (Do Da Damn Thang)”, with Pastor Troy. Her follow up was 2002’s A Ghetto Dream released independently through D-Lo Entertainment. That album featured collaborations with the superstars of crunk, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz. Georgia Peach, released in 2006, was her third album, and her second independent album. This album showcased the sexy side of Rasheeda. Her fourth album Dat Type of Girl, released in June 2007, has guest appearances from platinum artist, BABY, and mulitplatinum singer, Akon. The album also showcases some southern favorites, Pastor Troy, The Dream, Jazze Pha, Diamond and Princess of Crime mob, Fabo and Kandi. Rasheeda did a YouTube video called 'Certified Hot Chick' in 2008 where it showed her in a studio playing a clip of "Juicy Like A Peach", another un-named song in her car and she mentioned songs from the forthcoming album plus said "the peach candy album is coming very soon" but no further news or singles have been released from the project since this video apart from a video of her and her kids riding in a car rapping/singing along with a PeachCandy song "Let Ya Haters Me Ya Motivators" Rasheeda appeared on the cover of SPATE Magazine in the June/July 2007 issue. Rasheeda confirmed that she is to release her fifth studio album: "Certified Hot Chick" in 2009 via her myspace page, with the first official single being Let It Go. Soullow from Keyshia Cole Show on Sonny Mac World

Shelby Lowery aka Soullow was born in Chicago, ILL, And into the world came a passion for music. Starting off his career in the late 90’s with a group known as Cold Blue, he became familiar with writing rhymes. After years off performing and taking opportunities with mixtapes, the group split up. After moving to Flint, Michigan this gave Shelby a great chance to explore different styles of music and further perfect his craft. As a child he had the great opportunity to personally learn music from Ready for the World as well as be influenced by the great MC’s on streets of Flint, including those who would go on to become the greats of today’s music industry. (MC Breed, Dayton Family). In 2000 a tragedy almost ended his life, when he was gun downed by an assailant, taking over 9 bullets throughout the body. The doctors said he wouldn’t live, and if by some strange miracle he definitely would never walk or speak again. Miraculously he recovered completely. Shelby would go on to Miami, FL with Bobby Russell (RUSS) for rehabilitation and there he found himself and his voice in the rap game, he then learned of the entertainment opportunities in the city of Atlanta.. After arriving in the city he would embark on forming a group later to be known as 50 States Republic. Under his direction as they would go on to perform at various famed night clubs such as the Peacock, Pool Palace, & many more. 40,000 mixed tapes later and uncountable performances that reminded him of being on stage with MC Breed, Tupac, and E40 when he was young, brings us to a buzz that has stretched as far as Def Jam, Warner Music Group, Interscope and countless others. Under the name of Soullow, Shelby has decided to get his message across at all means. “Lead by Example” is the quote normally heard from his lips.
