A long time ago, someone or something decided that noises were entertaining. Upon this discovery, it was determined that the pattern of the sound made the sound more pleasant and easier for others to join in on the noise. Eventually it was learned that more than one sound could be used at the same time. Once the sounds were arranged to compliment each other, as opposed to competing with each other, more tools were invented in order to make more sounds on demand and these arrangements became more complex.
