There were 124 registered runners for the first ever Stride Together: Run and Walk for The Community Exchange in Altona. On a cool Saturday morning, the fundraiser continued the legacy established by the previous organizers the Curtis Klassen Memorial Fund which had been looking for a group to take over the event.

Brady Peters - Skills Manitoba gold medalist in carpentry
W.C Miller Collegiate's Brady Peters is off to Toronto at the end of May to compete at Skills Canada after winning gold in the carpentry category at Skills Manitoba held last week in Winnipeg at Red River College Polytech. The Grade 12 student is enrolled in the Red River Technical Vocational Area (RRTVA) carpentry program at the Altona school, which is led by instructor Kevin Janz.
