  1. 13

    Long Live Comedy Just a Minute-Sep. 2010.

Another Just a minute (our version of the Radio 4 panel show) recorded live at Long Live Comedy, Newcastle. This time it's the best bits of the two shows from September 2010, featuring Pete, George, Callum, Howard, Barry and our very own Nicholas Parsons - Gaz!

  2. 12

long Live comedy presents- just a minute 2.

Live from upstairs in the dog and parrot, Newcastle, UK, last Tuesday (20.10.2009), four comedians copy radio 4's popular format. We got our themes from the audience and you're a weird lot - bestiality cropped up alongside the muppets. See www.longlivecomedy.com for more details of the weekly live comedy show.

  3. 11

Long Live Comedy Presents- Jenkins Saves the School.

As a writing experiment, some friends of Long Live Comedy, tried to improvise a whole radio sit-com show. And here it is, heavily influenced by the Masterson Inheiritence and Tompkinsons Schooldays, and a little short after editing, but not bad for a first try.

  4. 10

    Dangerous animals

The song which should be the grand finale to my edinburgh show.

  5. 9

    Ned Ninearcres.

This is another of my musical character acts, basically me pretending I'm in the wurzzels. It was recodred at Black Comedy at the Black Swan in York. In the pauses towards the end I'm quickly drinking / failing to drink and pouring down my vest a pint of cider.

  6. 8

    Billy Bob's country hoe down.

My cowboy routine at the black swan in york- kindly recorded by James Christopher. By the way, at one point I said 'cow boke' instead of 'cow poke' and corrected myself, but you can't hear the difference on the recording anyway.

  8. 6

    Bits and Bobs Nov. 2006.

Here's a collection of new bits of stand up which I tried recently. This touches on; the outrageous claims of the advertisers of Cravendale milk; my days working at Fenwicks department store; my presumptions on what comedian Don Moses' act was going to be and some twaddle about Starwars from a space themed night at our comedy club 'Long Live Comedy'

  9. 5

    Ladies,ladies,ladies.

Here's the only version I've got of Ladies, ladies, ladies- my Prince / Beck inspired song. It's a pretty ropey version to be honest, but I may never get round to recording something better so here 'tis.

  10. 4

    geneology

This is what I ended up sending to the BBC7 competition, I tried to change the focus a bit, so it wasn't explicitly victorian- but it's still similar to the victorian detective of colin and fergus, and I have since heard of another show 'ectoplasm' which is similar again. So I have no chance in this competition. Curse you zeitgeist!

  11. 3

Through the time hole with Lord Caruthers Worthington.

This is what I was going to send in to a BBC 7 competition, until I read the interview on the competition website with the last people to be comissioned by BBC7- who also did something including a victorian adventurer with a stupid name. Sorry if anyone recieves two versions of this- the first was a wma file which I thought would be converted automatically to MP3- but seemed to remain in a format that i couldn't even access.

  12. 2

    Low lactose.

Here's my second effort. It's a bit of new material I was trying out at Long Live Comedy, our weekly show in Newcastle. This was in one of my compere sections where we throw in new bits to see how they work, and this little bit went down pretty well, so I present it again here.

  13. 1

    Beating the frog September 2006.

This is my first experimental comedy podcast, and I have chosen to put in my finest moment so far - the 5 minute set with which I 'beat the frog' (and the competition overall) at Manchester's Frog and Bucket Comedy club.
