Crimperdale
I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours at a spa up in the mountains and the calming spa music spoke to me. In a state of pure relaxation, I was feeling the minimal music speak to me and I was overcome with inspiration and motivation to make my own spa music. When I returned to the city I went straight to work and sat with my instruments for hours. This is what came out of me. Definitely not your typical “spa music” but this collection of musical ideas is the result of "spa music" inspiration. I'd call it an Ambient Beat Tape 'Crimperdale' is essentially a 20 minute jam with myself. I started by pressing record and improvising on a synth. I found a few sections and cropped them then pressed record again and played drums along to the synths. All the synths are first takes, the drums took me a few passes, same with the acoustic guitars. It's all unquantized and a bit messy and I had to fight many parts of me that wanted to go in, re-record parts, chop it up, and make it "perfect" but I reminded myself that I love raw and awkward music, kind of like being around someone you have a crush on. Made with: Korg MicroKorg S, Acoustic Guitar, Drum Samples played on Roland A-30 Keyboard, Logic Pro

Kaskade & Deadmau5 - Move For Me (Phil Bo Remix)
A remix of one of my favourite songs from 2008. I almost got the lyrics of the chorus tattooed on my feet but I'm glad I didn't go through with that decision when I was 20.

I Don't Have an Acid Problem
Field Recording: (First part) A walk up Clark Drive to meet my Mother outside her art studio. We crossed the street to go to a cafe. "Beep. Beep. Beeeeuuuuuuup." a truck backs up while I slowed the tape down.(Second part) Met a person at a bar on Main street, told him about my tape recorder after he asked why I had it with me. "Say whatever you want" you can hear me saying to him as he starts to talk about acid and Tums. Instruments: Korg Microkorg S Synthesizer, Roland SPD-SX sampler, Guitar with each note of every chord recorded separately because Experimentation, My Voice chopped up and with some effects to make it sound like a synth pad.
