This piece is one of the few compositions where I felt it did not need a theme because I thought that harmony (chord progression) and arrangements were a whole and let the entire space necessary for musicians to express themselves. My guest collaborator and friend Fivos really took advantage of the opportunity that this song gave him. He created and developed beautiful melodies all in simplicities during his solos! He also gradually built a great tension throughout the song while being zen at the same time! A performance full of emotion! Hope you like it as much as I do!" PianoCloud, 2 weeks ago has invited me and all the members of the group to partecipate for a "Piano Haiku Challenge" Haiku is a very short form of Japanese poetry (maybe the most famous from Japan); it's characterized by: • the juxtaposition of two images or ideas • 17 morae (essentially: syllables, usually divided into 5 + 7 + 5) • a seasonal reference The rules for the challenge were: 1. Choose one haiku from our list of 10 2. Choose or create an artwork for the haiku 3. Create a short piano piece inspired by the choosen haiku I have to say that has been delight to compose the music. 22 Dec i've had a concert for the closing ceremony of the Antinoo's exhibition at NMA, in Athens. Performed the 3 compositions of Antinoos's album and 2 new unpublished pieces with lyrics by Pessoa. Excellent artists accompanied me : the string quartet of the first violinist of the State Orchestra, Jannis Georgiadis (www.facebook.com/jannis.georgiadis.5). the baritone of the National Opera, Christos Lazos (www.facebook.com/chris.lazos.9?fref=ts) and the soprano of the National Opera, Gina Fotinopoulou (www.facebook.com/gina.fotinopoulou/?fref=ts).
