The last show this season!!! And what a show we have for you! Maria Eugenia starts off by singing the Chitty Chatty show song! Isabel, Belén, Cristina and I speak to Hao in Hanoi, Vietnam, where she talks about the culture, people and climate, amonst other things We also speak to Ricky in Dubai in the UAE, who tells us about crime, tax, going out and many more things! We introduce a couple of new guys, Jose-Miguel and Pachi, who join us for their very first Chitty Chatty show! It may be our last show of the season but what a show it is!! Happy summer everyone! In this show we start off with sports for kids at school, then we move on to a couple of sounds to pronounce followed by a chat with Tracey Vessey, a phonics expert. Today's topics are music lyrics, stress and the lack of time to do things. Almost our full team of Fernando in London, Elena, Cristina, Belén Maria Eugenia and myself in the studio speak about time management, how to combat stress through music, exercise and a healthy diet and of course, a bit of music to sing along to. In this active programme we speak to Isabel Alvarez our resident psychologist of the programme who gives us examples of the many motivating and inspiring quotes that lift us up and help us to feel positive about life and ourselves. Finally, we play a little game or Guess the Song with Maria Eugenia. How will she do?

This week we chat about lots of things! We start off with some 'stuff' on tourist information then we go on to talk about St. George's Day before we play a game of 'Guess tha song'. To finish we have an interesting article about the Spanish city of Cordoba. Enjoy practising with us!

After an unplanned break we're back again, this time better than ever! We speak about Spanish fiestas, the pronunciation of words that contain 'ct', for example: insect, Belén talks about a Squirrel story (with a song of course!) and we finish with the topic of stress and how to cope with it. In this special programme we have some fun with B Vocal - in English!! A Saint Valentine´s Day special! Would you like to say something romantic in English? In this show we talk about vocabulary with LOVE! Expressions, translations and even anecdotes about love/romance. Our last show of the year! It's Christamas 2015 and what better way to end the year by speaking to people around the world about where they are, where they're originally from, how they're going to celebrate this holiday period, etc. We answer a question from Nekane about an important English expression and a query from Maria about writing. We speak to Fernando at Gatwick airport, Tamara getting off a train in Scotland and Tracey from Peterborough, England, who now lives permanently here in Spain. Lots of different accents! We had a few technical issues with the sound and connections but we were able to speak to them for a little bit, so turn up the volume and enjoy our last programme of the year! Do you like wine? A few weeks ago we started with this topic "catas" - winetasting. In this week's podcast we develop it a bit more and use a lot more vocabulary. We also get to taste a marvellous Spanish wine! Isabel tells us all about it and Cristina, Belén, Maria Eugenia, myself and Fernando, our new colleague who joins us via Skype from London, give her our humble opinions! Initially the Skype connection has a lot of interference but gets much better later on. The team exchanges views on the wine before we start talking about airport experiences, a tricky but funny topic! The 5th of November in the UK is \"Bonfire Night\". Como San Antón, we celebrate Guy Fawkes\' Night. A man who, well, why don\'t you listen and we\'ll tell you all about this famous \"terrorist\" who fought for eight years with Spain! We finish some bits that we started in podcast 24 and Maria Eugenia gives us a riddle to solve. Will you be able to solve it before she tells us the answer? Good luck!

We start by translating "uno, alguno, ninguno....varios, algunos etc" into English. Well, we do our best to! Do you like riddles? Maria Eugenia tells us a riddle that we have to solve before the end of the programme. Can you solve it before we hear the answer? Next we explain the difference between will and going to and finally we talk about airport/airplane vocabulary and share Belén's flying experience. How can you pronuounce the letters "ove" in some words? Words such as cover, oven, above...... Well, they're all pronounced correctly in this podcast! Listen and repeat, maybe you'll be surprised to hear so many words with the same pronunciation. We speak to our very special guest, a woman with 30 years' experience in teaching, great sense of humour and one of the best "British accents" you'll ever hear! Alison Munro tells us of teaching in the UK, being a host mother and the Scottish culture.

In this programme we answer a question from Ana, a 10 year-old listener who lives in La Puebla de Alfindén. Ana asks us how to use can to express the future. We translate expressions of reactions, such as "que guay" "que rollo" "chulo" etc............ We also ask each other some easy and not-so-easy questions about everyday life.

Tracey Vessey from Peterborough, in the heart of England, tells us of what she misses about the UK, her dream that came true about marrying a handsome Spaniard and her love of teaching children Synthetic Phonics. Finally, councillor Carole Saunders speaks about her life battling to protect the wildlife in the salt flats of Calpe and why Spanish people love the North of England. Cristina talks "gobbledygook" which means something the majority of us don't understand. She also gives us more examples of translation. We speak about an interesting project called the Mars One Mission, where a kind of Big Brother set up is being planned for some people on the planet Mars. Afterwards I interview Daniel Zaragoza, a young author who tells us about his second novel. When Daniel was in India writing "Secretos en el techo del mundo" he slept in the wild without a tent or sleeping bag and was awakened by a leopard at 4 o'clock in the morning hovering around him......find out what happened in this exciting and incredible insight to Daniel's lifechanging experience.

Finally I get round to talking about the verbs say and tell! Belén speaks about the 12 Edinburgh Fetsivals, which was news to me! Cristina gives us examples of English words which are almost impossible to translate into Spanish. If you listen closely, you'll hear her confess that English is one of the richest languages for vocabulary! Enjoy the podcast.

In this recording of programme 3, 2015, we talk about PlayPhrase.me, which is a site where you can listen and read phrases in English. The phrases are shown in films and series such as Friends. They also appear on the screen for you to follow. Belén gives us examples of phrasal verbs used in songs, so that's really worth paying attention to plus I give some info on the late great Freddie Mercury. And to finish, a little about Robert Burns, a Scottish poet and how we celebrate his birth by eating Haggis and dancing to the sound of the bagpipes!

In this show we talk about gendres, equality, the Darwin awards (continuing from last time), sporting events and the sounds of animals in words! (An English dog will "say" woof-woof and a rooster will "say" cock-a-doodle-doo for instance!) Listen and repeat with us and enjoy speaking aloud!

We talk a little about the festive period, Victor talks about the old times - chiefs, no less, Cristine speaks about the Darwin awards - in particular about MIT and we also play a game of Who sang...? which is where I try to remember some songs from my 70s records collection. This is our last programme of the year. It's Christmas time so time to take a break and eat lots! In this programme we drink some Cava and eat truffles, biscuits, sweets etc. We talk about some Christmas carols, Christmas food, traditions at Christmas and events of 2014, like the new Spanish King and some current affairs. "A proper copper coffe pot" Can you say this tongue twister? Trying saying it slowly then quickly! We try some tongue twisters, Victor talks about an article from Runner's World magazine. Belén tells us how we can learn English through music and Cristina, our queen of Espanglish, talks about a book called American Horror (don't listen to this on your own, lol!) In this programme you can repeat some words with Maria Eugenia in order to practise your pronunciation. There are gaps for you to repeat and see if you can get it right. Belén tells us about how crazy the English language is, for example she tells us that there's no egg in Eggplant, no apple in pineapple etc. Cristina talks about an English dish called Toad in the Hole, which is made with pastry and sausages. Firstly, Belén translates names and/or surnames of famous people and creates the Spanglish versions. Then Cristina really does translate a text. Both of these produces some curiosities and laughs. We also play a game of "Odd one out" where we say 4 words but one of them is different from the others for a reason - could be that three are adjectives and one is a noun, for example. Chitty Chatty is a radio programme where some Spanish people and I, Bob Murray, sit down in a studio and practise English. That sounds okay but our main task is to help other people beat the fear of speaking in English, understand English better and, more importantly, have a laugh! In this podcast Victor talks about graffiti. Belén gives us examples of songs with days of the week in the title. Cristina translates humour (not easy!). And Maria Eugenia is put to the test with the vocabulary and pronunciation that I give her!
