Roland Appel - Rosario
linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Roland Appel is the well loved and respected Producer and DJ, based in Southern germany. Quickly recognised for his work for Sonar Kollektiv or Compost, we are proud to announce his debut for Poker Flat Recordings. The beautifully original and stand-out 'Fleurs Du Mal' is a classically themed masterpiece in the making. Warm, phasing synth energies build before introducing cosmic choirs and bell melodies that blurs the boundaries between mysterious cult soundtrack and club bomb! The deep searchin' 'Black Leather' shows yet more techno promise with a brooding, textural synth at the centre of a full-on exploration into dark, tactile and satisfyingly underground territories. A true slow-burner, and a post tech-house killer in its own right, this detailed and accomplished cut forms the ideal futuristic backdrop to take us into 2011! The quasi-house tones of 'Rosario' are included as a digital bonus, wherein metallic bells and old-school stabs come together in a deep exercise in complex harmonics, tense arrangements and future acid.

Premiere: Emergence
Pornbugs return to Sublease Music with Awareness Rising. This time the Leipzig based duo teams up once more with Spanish DJ and producer Frink. The title track, Awareness Raising, sets the tone with a reduced, flowing groove and carefully placed textures. Nothing feels overstated; elements appear and recede with a certain looseness, creating a sense of suspension. The track leans into repetition, but small shifts in tone and rhythm keep it alive, mirroring that initial moment where perception begins to sharpen. "In the quiet spaces between sound and silence, awareness begins to rise." say Pornbugs, "A subtle shift, almost imperceptible at first, where perception softens and something deeper starts to unfold. "Awareness Raising" is that moment of opening: a gentle awakening to the present, to the body, to the unseen currents moving beneath the surface. It is not a destination, but a remembering. From this space, something begins to take form." Emergence builds on this foundation with a slightly firmer structure. The rhythm becomes more grounded, and the arrangement opens up, allowing melodic fragments to settle into a clearer shape. There’s a natural progression at play here, not through big transitions but through gradual layering, as if the track is finding its form in real time. On the Deeplomatik Remix, the original is reworked with a more direct club focus. The groove is tighter, the low-end more pronounced, but the core atmosphere remains intact. It doesn’t push the track into a different direction so much as it reframes it, giving it more drive while keeping its understated character.

Ride In My Car (Darius Syrossian Extended Remix)
linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Poker Flat welcomes London based producer Leroy Berry. The EP Ride In My Car delivers lush house grooves paired with modern deep tech energy. The title track sets the tone with a hypnotic groove, crisp drums and a playful vocal that locks into a driving bassline. The track balances underground house textures with a catchy hook with subtle percussion layers and evolving synth stabs that keep the energy flowing while maintaining a stripped, dancefloor-centric arrangement. "Ride In My Car came about after delivery of my new car!" says Leroy Barry. "A rare summers day in London, roof down and a full tank and the lyrics just popped into my head. So I aimed it at a video game from years ago called Out Run and gave it the feel from the style of music in that game. If you know Out Run you know what I'm talking about. On “Make Me Wanna”, Leroy Barry leans further into rhythmic swing and groove. The track builds around punchy drum programming and a bouncing bassline, complemented by catchy vocal fragments that add a flirtatious, energetic edge. "The track was born in Ibiza at a retreat and was so different to anything I had done before." Leroy continues. "It basically puts into sound how the island makes me feel. Its kinda tribal and just happy vibes." Rounding out the release, renowned house heavyweight Darius Syrossian delivers a powerful remix of “Ride In My Car.” Injecting his trademark chunky basslines and driving percussion, Syrossian transforms the original into a darker, more underground club weapon. The remix amplifies the groove while preserving the vocal hook

That Kid
Vinyl & more: linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Released in autumn 2002 Steve Bug's 2nd Poker Flat album proved his musical progression. "Sensual" is seriously seductive, minimal but hot, loose limbed, laid-back, playful and funky. This adventurous album holds unexpected surprises that will make you grin, basslines that will smack your hips and make you want to wriggle out of your clothes. This album reveals once again that Steve has an over-abundance of funk and minimal melody coursing through his veins and once again, the club gets all the love.

Love The Machine (Album Edit)
Love The Machines is the adventure report of two Discopilots from Berlin, who moved out into the world to find their fortune and who returned into their studio with a bag full of gold, lipstick on their cheeks and a blistering hangover. From all the Rock and Pop of the 80’s in Traveller there’s already nothing left in Smile when Clé is petting the guitar and everything sounds so unbelievably Sixties. Tracks like the first single out-take Love The Machine, Chicken Claw or High Risin’ are referring to the old approved machinetactics to squeeze out the last sweatdrop out of the busiest dancers. At best they recall the Girl That Pulled The Plug who really pulled the plug during one of their shows at the Subway in Cologne. Instead of hiring her for further contributions to their performance they invited Eric D. Clark in their studio for the Finale Grande on track 13, which will travel from disco to disco shortly: Big And Dirty!

Premiere: Don’t Stop The Music
Stream/buy: https://PokerFlat.lnk.to/WhyNotUs More: linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Following on from a run of successful collaborations within Steve Bug’s creative circle, Why Not Us sees Steve Bug and Ammo Avenue join forces after Ammo Avenue’s remix of Steve Bug & Huxley’s L.O.V.E. released in 2023 on Poker Flat, while vocalist Mikey V previously contributed his unmistakable voice to Steve Bug & Denney’s That Beat released in 2024 on Hot Creations. Chasing Ghosts
Vinyl & more: linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Ten years on from their first ever 12‘‘ release on Steve Bug‘s historic Raw Elements imprint, the Märtini Brös (aka Clé and Mike Vamp) are still causing waves across the electronic music community, with their unique ability to combine utterly funky, floor-melting electronic dance tracks, and a natural song-writing musical ability that often begs belief. This mix, or extended ‚trip‘ as they‘d prefer it to be considered, is a real celebration of some of the songs and dancefloor experiments they have released to the world. Within these 19 mixed tracks you will find the complete spectrum of the Brös‘ sonic addiction. Its playful, full of musical whim and joyful abandon, made up of classic Brös tracks, alongside 6 exclusive news cuts, and remixes by the likes of DJ Koze, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Robag Wruhme, Prins Tomas, and collaborations with Jacktronix and Mitte Karaoke. There are so many highlights and amazing mixing sequences in this just-over-an-hour-long journey that its hard to pick just a handful to highlight, but to begin with you can’t go far wrong with the beautiful introduction of ‚Chasing Ghosts‘, the classic track from the Lab ‚Darkroom‘, or the seminal ‚Love The Machines‘. As the mix begins to swirl us around its exhilarating roller-coaster ride more exciting peaks envelop us with light and sound. The Brös‘ brand new ‚Morphine Robot‘ is cleverly mixed into Prins Tomas‘ glitterballing remix of ‚She‘s Heavy Metal‘ - full on neon rave music, conceived way before the boundaries of classifications! Yet more treats then arrive in the shape of new and exclusive tracks such as ‚Hips Not Tired‘, a stunning new collaboration with Jacktronix, and ‚Drone‘, the duo‘s new futuredisco tale of computer friendship. And onwards we are taken as more new tracks, ‚Presets of My Mind‘ and the overwhelming exclusive ‚Strahlau‘, combined with some very special 2008 versions conclude this spectacular passage through time and music. This hard-to beat selection defines the Märtini Brös perfectly and oozes non-stop quality, convention-defying dance music. It’s a testament to the type of relationship it takes for a pair of musicians to work together for so long, and so successfully, and with the wealth and absolute quality of the new material included here we‘re sure they‘ll see through another decade to keep on bringing the funk. Märtini Brös will celebrate the release of this 10th anniversary album with a very special Live Show at the Love Parade in Dortmund, Centrestage, Prime Time, for all the world to enjoy! Further plans also see the duo considering the possibilities of putting together a film with highlights from their unmissable live shows over the years... so keep propping up the bar and raise your glasses to the next installment!

Vinyl & more: linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Deltech make their debut on Poker Flat Recordings with Fool’s Paradise, a three-track EP built around groove, space and atmosphere. Each piece feels crafted for late hours, detailed and balanced, shaped by the duo’s time spent immersed in the energy of Ibiza’s dancefloors. The title track Fool’s Paradise opens with a deep, rolling rhythm that slowly unfolds, carried by warm percussion and melodic fragments that build a smooth, hypnotic flow. Enerji follows with a looser, more elastic feel, a fluid bassline and flickering synth textures that hint at euphoria without ever losing control. Feel The Beat closes the EP with focus and clarity, its crisp drum work and clipped vocal phrase driving the track’s steady pulse. “Each track on this EP has its own personality, shaped by a recent trip to Ibiza that left a deep impression on us. We draw most of our inspiration from live events and try to channel those feelings directly into the music,” say Deltech.

We draw most of our inspiration from live events and try to channel those feelings directly into the music,” say Deltech.

Mihai Popoviciu - The Shake [Premiere]
Mihai Popoviciu returns to Sublease with three refined deep house cuts that highlight his unmistakable groove engineering. One of Romania’s most consistent and respected producers, Popoviciu continues to shape a sound that fuses warmth, drive and understated sophistication. Following on from "What I Need" here he explors an effortlessly rolling, hypnotic mood across three tightly crafted tracks built for warm floors, late hours and people who love subtle grooves. The Shake opens the EP with a crisp, rolling rhythm designed to get bodies moving without shouting for attention. It’s all about tension, swing and that little twist that sneaks into your spine. I Wanna Give brings a deeper, moodier touch, vocal fragments woven into a driving bassline. This one has an emotional edge, somewhere between introspective and uplifting. Interplay closes things out with layered melodies and evolving textures. It’s the most musical cut on the EP, built around the conversation between its elements, hence the name.

Zaxndi (Moonbootica & Defex Remix) (Radio Edit)
After igniting floors with its ferocious blend of raw house energy and razor-sharp Bavarian rap, Zaxndi returns in two heavyweight reinterpretations from German electronic powerhouses Moonbootica and Kollektiv Turmstrasse. Released in November, Zaxndi was born from Defex’s instrumental beast of a track – anchored by its now-signature mad bassline – and elevated by Maniac’s fearless, tongue-twisting verses. The underground anthem now enters a new chapter as two of Germany’s most influential acts carve it into their own sonic universes. Moonbootica and Defex flip Zaxndi into a high-octane club weapon, amplifying the swagger of the original with their trademark bounce, precision groove programming and bold, adrenaline-charged energy. Maniac’s vocal darts through their production like a spark, giving the remix the feel of a peak-time riot built for big rooms and bigger sound systems. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Kollektiv Turmstrasse deliver a deep, hypnotic reimagination. Stretching the emotional tension while honoring the raw spirit of Defex and Maniac’s creation, they craft a remix that’s both atmospheric and rhythmically gripping. Their version draws listeners into a cinematic pulse where the bassline simmers, the details breathe and the vocal becomes a haunting motif. Together, these remixes expand the Zaxndi universe into two distinct dance-floor territories – one explosive, one immersive – reaffirming the track’s status as one of the year’s most compelling underground crossovers.

Naku (Edit)
More: linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Swiss-born DJ and producer Dario D’Attis joins forces with longtime collaborator Haldo for the latest release on Poker Flat Recordings, following on from Back To The Old (2025 on Poker Fkat).. Naku is a deep, groove-driven cut that grew from a hypnotic bassline and is elevated by the magnetic vocals. Blending timeless house sensibilities with rich Afro-inspired textures, the track is both soulful and primed for the dancefloor. "I’ve been working with Haldo in the studio for almost 20 years." says Dario D'Attis. "He’s one of my favorite musicians. We always record what we play and then I let myself be inspired by the recordings in my studio and just make my cuts. Naku actually grew out of the baseline." Adding to the release, UK house legend Atjazz (Martin Iveson) delivers his signature Galaxy Aart rework, presenting both a stunning remix and a stripped dub version. His remix deepens the original’s hypnotic pull, layering textures and intricate rhythms that showcase his unmistakable touch.

Premiere: Deep Inside (Steve Bug’s Deep Dub)
Steve Kelley returns to Sublease Music with “Deep Inside,” a sleek two-tracker that distills his signature blend of groove, melody and deep, chunky house into a focused dancefloor statement. The title cut is a deep and driving house workout with hypnotic grooves, warm textures and a smooth, rolling low end built for the late hours, while Steve Bug’s remix tightens the screws with punchy drums, rubbery bass pressure, and restrained synth sparkle aimed squarely at peak time. “Relax” offsets propulsive drums with lush chords, soulful atmospheres, and luminous hooks, flowing with subtle emotion for a timeless groove that invites you to slow down and lose yourself as the EP closes on a hypnotic, sundown note.

Zaxndi (Club Edit)
Vinyls & more: linktr.ee/pokerflat_recordings Defex, the Bavarian-Ibizencan wildcat and long-time underground force, returns to Poker Flat with a monster of a track. The story began when Defex sent an instrumental track to Steve Bug, the driving bassline already giving it the working title “Zaxndi” – Bavarian slang roughly translating to “what the hell” (a local spin on “Sacre dieu”). Bug instantly signed it but suggested a male vocal might take it to the next level. Defex didn’t have to think twice and called on Maniac, one of Bavaria’s most distinctive rappers, who delivered with razor-sharp verses full of playful word twists, including his lyrical play on “rash giving” – decisive like an allergy. The result is a ferocious hybrid of raw house energy, a mad bassline and a fearless rap, a track that balances club-ready intensity with wild charisma, while the instrumental version provides DJs with a more direct tool for the floor.

You Make Me Feel (Version 2)
"You Make Me Feel" was the first outtake from Steve Bug's second Poker Flat album "Sensual". Slowly but unmistakebly building up a hypnotic groove with a rolling percussion loop, ice-cold snare and hollering vocal (reminiscent of Gainsbourg's "Bonny and Clyde"), Bug forces you flashing your sharpest dancing routines even before he throws in that distorted, take-no-prisoners, Saunderson-style organ-bassline. Flip over for another version that's served up straightened-out and stripped down yet still manages to come up with a higher percentage of FUNK. Another totally satisfying five star menu for the Poker Flat gourmet.
