    STAVAMRTAM - S-01-sri-sri-radha-vinod-bihari-tattvastakam

Shri Radha-Vinoda-Vihari-Tattvashtakam (Why Shri Krishna acquired a bright complexion) Shri Shrimad Bhakti Prajnana Keshava Gosvami Maharaja radha-cinta-niveshena yasya kantir vilopita shri-krishna-caranam vande radhalingita-vigraham (1) I worship the lotus feet of that form of Shri Krishna when, due to being thoroughly immersed in separation from Shrimati Radhika (who is displaying mana, Her mood of jealous anger), His own dark complexion vanishes and He assumes Her bright, golden luster; or, I worship the lotus feet of Shri Krishna as He is embraced by Shrimati Radhika (after Her mana has broken). sevya-sevaka-sambhoge dvayor bhedah kuto bhavet vipralambhe tu sarvasya bhedah sada vivardhate (2) When Shri Krishna (sevya - who always takes service from sevaka*) and Shrimati Radhika (sevaka - who is always doing seva to sevya) meet together and enjoy each other, how can there be any distinction between Them? But in vipralambha Their feelings of separateness perpetually intensify. [*Sevya is bhokta Bhagavan - who is always enjoying. Sevaka is bhogya - who is enjoyed. At time of meeting there is no bheda, difference, between Them - They are abheda, non-different whereas in separation Their mood of difference especially increases.] cil-lila-mithunam tattvam bhedabhedam acintyakam shakti-shaktimator aikyam yugapad vartate sada (3) By the influence of acintya-shakti, the Divine Couple, shakti (potency) and shaktiman (the possessor of potency) who perform unlimited transcendental pastimes, are forever simultaneously different and non-different. [Para-tattva is never without shakti. When shakti-shaktiman are one svarupa, in one body, then gaura-tattva is manifest, and when They are separate in two bodies, Krishna as lila-purusottama enjoys lila with Shrimati Radhika.] tattvam ekam param vidyal lilaya tad dvidha sthitam gaurah krishnah svayam hy etad ubhav ubhayam apnutah (4) Although the Supreme Truth is one, His pastimes appear in two forms: those of Shyamasundara Krishna and Shri Gaurasundara, both of whom are directly Svayam Bhagavan (and whose contradictory qualities are fully harmonized by acintya-shakti). [The usage of the word varna (complexion) in verse 5 and the word guna (quality) in verse 6 establishes shri-gaura-tattva to be as worshipable as shri-krishna-tattva:] sarve varnah yatravishtah gaura-kantir vikashate sarva-varnena hinas tu krishna-varnah prakashate (5) Wherever all the colours are combined, a golden hue (gaura-kanti) is manifest; for example, although all colours are present in the sun, its hue is golden. On the other hand, in the absence of all colour, black (shyama-kanti) is manifest (and according to the opinion of modern scientists, black is actually devoid of colour). sagunam nirgunam tattvam ekam evadvitiyakam sarva-nitya-gunair gaurah krishnau rasas tu nirgunaih (6) There is no difference between the supreme truth manifest as saguna (possessed of transcendental attributes - gaura-kanti) and nirguna (devoid of material attributes - shyama-kanti). They are one and the same. Shri Gaurasundara possesses all eternal divine qualities and Shri Krishna is the embodiment of rasa which is completely devoid of mundane qualities. shri krishnam mithunam brahma tyaktva tu nirgunam hi tat upasate mrisha vijnah yatha tushavaghatinah (7) Shri Krishna and Shri Gauranga are both the supreme Brahman. Those who abandon serving Them to worship the formless Brahman never attain factual liberation and are precisely like those who try to extract rice by beating empty husks - all they obtain is their fruitless, hard labour. shri vinoda-vihari yo radhaya milito yada tadaham vandanam kuryam sarasvati-prasadatah (8) By the mercy of my Gurudeva Shrila Sarasvati Prabhupada, I worship Shri Vinoda-bihari and Shrimati Radhika as They meet and take Their darshana at that time. iti tattvashtakam nityam yah pathet shraddhayanvitah krishna-tattvam abhijnaya gaura-pade bhaven matih (9)

Bhajan - Bhajahu Re Mana & Hare Krishna Mahamantra(Manipur Melody) (Live) By Srimad B V Muni Maharaj

    1) O mind just worship the lotus feet of the son of Nanda, which make one fearless. Having obtained this rare human birth, cross over this ocean of worldly existence through the association of saintly persons. 2) Both in the day and at night I remain sleepless, suffering the pains of the heat and cold, the wind and the rain. For a fraction of flickering happiness I have uselessly served wicked and miserly men. 3) What assurance of real happiness is there in all of one's wealth, youthfulness, sons, and family members? This life is tottering like a drop of water on a lotus petal; therefore you should always serve and worship the divine feet of Lord Hari. 4) It is the desire and great longing of Govinda Dasa to engage himself in the nine processes of bhakti, namely hearing the glories of Lord Hari and chanting those glories, constantly remembering Him and offering prayers to Him, serving the Lord's lotus feet, serving the Supreme Lord as a servant, worshiping Him with flowers and incense and so forth, serving Him as a friend, and completely offering the Lord one's very self. Because you are so merciful, you gave me a place in Godruma amid the woodlands of Gauda, with this order to fulfill: “Dwell here in this Vrndavana and sing the holy name of Hari.” (2) But when, O master, out of your great mercy, will you bestow upon this servant of yours the spiritual competence to fulfill that order? When will my mind become tranquil and fixed? When will I endure all hardships and serve Lord Hari without distractions? (3) Due to attachment to worldly pleasures in childhood and youth, I have developed bad habits. Because of these sinful acts my body has become an impediment to the service of the Supreme Lord. (4) Now, in old age, afflicted by the five-fold illnesses, how will I serve the Lord? O master, please tell me. I have fallen at your feet weeping, overwhelmed by anxiety.

I know that I am totally unqualified. 4) All the Vaisnavas are vancha kalpa-taru (wish-fulfilling trees) and an ocean of mercy. It is my deepest hope that the Vaisnavas will give me their mercy so that I can thus attain the lotus feet of Mahaprabhu. 5) I have no good qualities and I have committed uncountable offenses, but if you will deliver me (give me bhakti), then everyone will come to know of your glories. 6) I am praying for taste in nama-sankirtana and for the wealth of prema. Then this Radha-mohana dasa will realize your supreme mercy.

Whomever He sees He hugs in the ecstasy of spiritual love. 3) His eyes are always restless. They are like two black bees flying among golden lotus flowers. 4) Lord Nitai is the master of mercy. Seeing the people tormented by troubles, He strings for them a necklace of Lord Hari’s holy names. To person after person He gives that necklace. 5) The arrogant blasphemers and sinners He rips into shreds. To the poor fallen people He gives the gift of ecstatic spiritual love. 6) Calling out, “O! O Gauranga!”, He falls to the ground. His whole body is soaked with tears. 7) In his heart Vrndavana dasa thinks: Now Lord Nityananda is like a golden Mount Sumeru fallen to the ground. While chanting Hare Krsna, when will there be tears in the eyes? 2) When will I obtain the mercy of Lord Nityanandacandra? When, by His mercy will the desire for material enjoyment become very insignificant? 3) When the mind is completely purfied, being freed from material anxieties and desires, then I shall be able to understand Vrndavana and the conjugal love of Radha and Krsna, and then my spiritual life will be successful. 4) When shall I be very much eager to study the books left by the Six Gosvami's, headed by Srila Rupa Gosvami and Srila Raghunatha dasa Gosvami? By their instruction I shall be able to properly understand the loving affairs of Radha and Krsna. 5) My only aspiration is to attain the lotus feet of the Six Gosvamis headed by Srila Rupa Gosvami and Srila Raghunatha dasa Gosvami. Without the mercy of Sri Gaurasundara, the son of Saci, who could have heard about that extremely wonderful prema-nama? 2) Who would have told us the unlimited glories of sri-krsna-nama? If Sri Gaurahari, who is Krsna endowed with the bhava and color of Sri Radha, had not appeared and described the unparalleled sweetness of Vrndavana, and if He had not poured His causeless mercy upon the fallen jivas of Kali-yuga without discrimination, then who could have entered into the sweetness of that Vrndavana? 3) Sri Radha is the last limit of that most effulgent madhura-rasa. Her wonderful mahabhava consists of adhirudha, modana, madana, and various other ecstasies. Without rasika-sekhara Sri Gaurahari’s mercy, who could have known all of this? How was it possible for anyone to know of the divine sattvika transformations before Sri Saci-nandana Gaurahari revealed them in Jagannatha Puri at Sri Gambhira, within the house of Kasi Misra, while He tasted Srimati Radhika’s moods of separation? 4) Without Him who could have understood the loving affairs in parakiya rasa shared between akhila-rasamrta-murti Sri Krsna and mahabhava-mayi Sri Radha and Her kaya-vyuha-svarupa gopis? Who made it possible to know the glories of the gopis, their transcendental bodies and their various bhavas – vibhava, anubhava, sattvika, and vyabhhicari? 5) O blessed Kali, you are most glorious, for Sri Gaurahari and Nityananda Prabhu have appeared in this world to display supreme compassion. They filled the world with such high levels of prema which were incomprehensible even to Brahmaji. 6) Without discriminating as to who is elevated or fallen, They embraced everyone. Sri Premananda says, "O brothers, keep that Sri Gaurasundara locked in your heart of hearts."

[Caitanya-avatara does not come in every Kali-yuga.] 2) At the bathing place of my Gauranga, a free ferry-boat is waiting. There is no restriction – everyone is coming, including the lame, blind and distressed. All are climbing aboard to cross over. 3) Harinama is the boat, Sri Guru is the helmsman and the sankirtana party moving with up-raised arms are the oars! 4) All souls can cross over with the favorable winds of prema. Gaura’s name is the precious necklace I wear around my neck! 3) Keeping Gauranga inside my heart, I will sit alone and fix my mind on His enchanting moon-like form.
