We dunk on State of Play, because it was sooooo weak. Destiny 2: The Final Shape seems cool though, and Guerilla Collection is the bees kness

Stellar Blade demo, Princess Peach Showtime, and, again, more Chadley hate (or love?).

Everybody's finally into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, so there's a lot to talk about there. Mainly, there's quite the controversy about Chadley.

Outlast Trials is cool, South Park Snowday is not, and there's a ton of other stuff in between. Like pulsating ninjas.

Dune 2 popcorn bucket - we're talking about it. Also video games like Unicorn Overlord and yes, still Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Madame Web is worth seeing for under $5, but make no mistake: it's baaaaad. We also talk about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth now that the public can play it.

An embargo lifted, so we talk about how Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth fits into the broader mythos of the series. Also, Helldivers 2 is still a great time AND breaking servers.

The magical Xbox reveal revealed precisely nothing we haven't been saying on this podcast for YEARS, and James mysteriously teases the content of our next episode. Meanwhile, Rhett couldn't find Colt 45 (the beverage) at the store and that's wildly unacceptable.

It's mostly tangents, as usual, but also mostly impressions of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Is the title a misnomer? Probably not. James also gets into the ... pitfalls? of VR based ... entertainment.

Lucky season 7 of the cast kicks off with a look forward. What does 2024 hold? Probably fewer amazing banger games than in '23, honestly, but there are definitely signs of life. We talk about it all!

What's to know? We argue about the best games of the year and come up with a DEFINITIVE top ten list. What wins? Does Gollum top the list? Maybe.

The Game Awards garnered serious heat this year, for hardly any of the right reasons. We talk about the highs and lows, but also a bunch of great games: Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Wonder, and more!

Spider-Man 2! We talk about it. It's great. AC Mirage? Not so much. Elsewhere, Forza Motorsport is right around a seven on our patented 3 point scale.

We talk about some things that are happening like Starfield maybe not being QUITE as expansive as we thought, Cyberpunk 2077 finally getting to the state it should have launched in, Baten Kaitos for some reason, and October. 2023 has been ridiculous, and October isn't slowing down. Pray for us and our eyeballs.

It's all stars this time out, with extensive discussion of Starfield and Sea of Stars. Starfield is mid AF but still addictive and fun for RPG fans, while Sea of Stars is a brilliant example of making what's old new again.

Rhett continues to berate James until he gets Baldur's Gate 3 on PC. Meanwhile, James played Immortals of Aveum (it rips) and The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood (also rips), and Paul 'played' Fort Solis (it does not rip).

James fondly reminisces about classy purple bags that can hold golf balls, cash, and occasionally adult beverages. Rhett likes Baldur's Gate a whole bunch. Paul and James can't talk about their games, but think FF XVI is swell and Starfield damn well better be.

So Final Fantasy XVI happened, and the fellas are mighty impressed. To quote one podcaster, "Game of the last few years". And he might be right, we spend this entire podcast discussing how and why FF XVI works, and inevitably plan for a spoilercast in the future.

Now it's Xbox's turn to show off cool stuff like Fable, Forza, and a bunch of videos that might eventually turn into games like Bioclockwork.

We discuss all the cool and uncool things about the PlayStation Showcase 2023. Spider-Man 2? Great! Phantom Blade Zero? A nice surprise! PSVR 2? Sad trombone. Join Paul and James for all their well formed opinions.

Unfortunately, Redfall also happened. It's the good and the bad, and the bad is also the ugly, but the good is PROBS game of the year? Maybe.

Can Xbox get a solid W someday? For gaming's sake, please use that infinite cashflow to NOT F it up for once.

Destiny 2 Lightfall, PSVR2, and more Octopath Traveler 2 are rocking - or something - our worlds. Also, we're calling it - Starfield and SpiderMan 2 will go head to head this fall.

Octopath Traveler 2 and some video game stuff, but more importantly we were doin' it live.

The Nintendo Direct consumes our discussion because heck, there was just so much good stuff! Elsewhere, James talks about Octopath Traveler 2, and Paul think Kirby's Return to Dreamland could be a sleeper hit. But will the Switch GBA project finally give us an English Mother 3 release? Nope. Not if Reggie has anything to say about it.

We're just fools living in a post PT era where scary stuff is more boring than scary. But HiFi Rush is surprisingly delightful.

We're back for another year of casting our opinions out into the ether, in pod form. Paul, Rhett, and James talk about Elden Ring, Fire Emblem Engage, and preview the year in gaming. Spoiler: it might be a gooooood one.

We decide on a top ten, and we promise, it doesn't go as you're expecting. We get weird up in here. Opinions are created, changed, destroyed, and rebuilt repeatedly in the space of seconds. 

It's exactly what the title says. Game of the year? Forget it. At least until next time ;)

We played God of War Ragnarok, Pokemon, and more, and were shocked how clunky a game from a bazillion dollar franchise can be. The game is rad as hell though.

Hey what can we say. This is an excellent, insightful, and mostly also excellent podcast from the day before Dad of Boy 2 came out. We just... didn't publish it. It's great though. You should listen to it repeatedly.
