Les Tambours Du Bronx Stéréostress, 2003, remix French percussionists «Les Tambours Du Bronx» have made their trademark with drumming on oil barrels, with little accompanying sounds. Live they line up in half a circle with the leader (Le Chef Tambour) in the middle. The resulting music is obviously more rhythmical than melodic. Mit Hunderten Konzerten und zahlreichen TV-Auftritten haben sich die spektakulären Trommler auch hierzulande einen Kultstatus erspielt. Gegründet wurden Les Tambours Du Bronx in Nevers, der Hauptstadt von Burgund, einem Stahlrevier. Dort entdeckte man die Ästhetik afrikanischer Trommeln und übersetzte diese in den eigenen, von der Industrie geprägten gesellschaftlichen Kontext. Ihre aus Ölfässern hergestellten riesigen Trommeln bearbeitet die Gruppe mit der Kraft und Präzision von Stahlarbeitern. So entsteht der archaische Sound einer modernen Welt, der den Aufstand des Individuums gegen die Anonymität der Maschinenwelten symbolisiert.

HINT « Wu Wei » A remix by Al Comet 2000 Hint est un groupe de fusion rock français, originaire d’Angers et formé en 1994. Influencé tant par le rock alternatif, la noise que la musique expérimentale, le groupe a produit une musique résolument avant-gardiste et iconoclaste pour l’époque. Mêlant rythmiques indus, guitares dissonantes, saxos hurlés et bruitages angoissants à d’autres ambiances aériennes, cinématographiques teintées d’incursions par les musiques traditionnelles.
