    Ep 69 Timing #EntrepreneurialTip #EmpoweredLife #PalumboPrinciple

Welcome, everyone, to the 68th episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week, I am bringing an entrepreneurial tip, and you always know I cross over into the empowered life and make it a Palumbo principle, too. The topic for this episode is the TIMING #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple In this Entrepreneurial Tip, I’m talking about something that I believe quietly shapes so much of our success, our fulfillment, and even our peace…Timing. So many of us are taught that if we have a good idea, work hard, and stay consistent, things will happen. And while all of that matters, there’s another layer that often gets overlooked—and that’s understanding the role timing plays in both business and life. I’ve seen it over and over again. You can have the right idea… at the wrong time… and it won’t land. That doesn’t mean the idea isn’t good. It means it’s not time. In business, timing impacts everything—when you launch, when you speak, when you pivot, when you hold. Releasing something too early can mean the market isn’t ready. Releasing too late can mean the moment has passed. There’s a window to things, and learning to recognize that window is a skill. But this goes far beyond business. There is a rhythm to life. There are seasons we move through. And when we are out of alignment with timing, we feel it. We start forcing things, rushing things, or holding on longer than we should. And I’ve had to learn this myself. There have been moments where I’ve pushed, thinking effort alone would make something happen. And there have been moments where I hesitated, when it actually was time to move. Both come with consequences. So here’s the principle I want you to sit with: Timing is not something we control… it’s something we learn to discern. When we try to control timing, we move from pressure. When we learn to discern timing, we move with wisdom. Now let me take this deeper… Because there’s a difference between good timing and divine timing. Good timing is strategic. Divine timing is sovereign. And this is where I go back to Genesis 18, where God revisits a promise and says: “At the appointed time, I will return…” That phrase—appointed time—is everything. It means there are things in our lives that are not random. They are set. They are established. They are known by God before we ever see them. And yet, we live in a world that tells us to hustle, to force, to make things happen on our own timeline. But God operates differently. He operates on appointment. Which means we don’t create divine timing—we come into alignment with it. And even when I think about this from a quantum and metaphysical perspective, it still aligns. Things exist in potential before they ever manifest in reality. But potential doesn’t become reality until it meets the right moment. That moment… is timing. That moment… is alignment. That moment… is appointment. So when something hasn’t happened yet, it doesn’t always mean it’s not coming. It may mean it hasn’t reached its appointed time. And that connects directly to my last episode—Closer Than You Think. Because if something has an appointed time… then yes, you may be closer than you think. Closer than your emotions can perceive. Closer than your circumstances suggest. So instead of asking, “Why isn’t this happening yet?” I’ve started asking a different question: “Is it time?” And then I listen. Because timing requires awareness and trust. Awareness to recognize the season I’m in. And trust to either move… or wait. And both take faith. It takes faith to step forward when it’s time. And it takes just as much faith to stay still when it’s not. So if you take anything from this, let it be this: Don’t rush what isn’t ready. And don’t miss what is. Because your success, your fulfillment, your next level… It’s not just about what you do. It’s about when you do it. And even deeper… It’s about discerning when something is appointed for your life. Because what God has set for you… Will not miss you. But you do have to be aligned to receive it. Ep 67 You Are Closer Than You Think #Elixir

Welcome, everyone, to the 67th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am coming with another dose of Elixir, that energetic fire that I love to bring to you all. My topic is you are CLOSER than you THINK #exlixir Have you ever believed in something for so long that you started to quietly believe it might not happen? Not because you don’t have faith, but because time has passed, life has happened, and it just feels… far away. I get it. I’ve been there too. But what if the very thing you’re believing for isn’t far at all? What if you’re actually standing closer to it than you realize? In this episode, I walk through a powerful moment in the Book of Genesis. Specifically, chapter 18. Where a promise that seemed impossible was actually right at the edge of fulfillment. It didn’t look like it. It didn’t feel like it. But it was. This conversation is about shifting your perspective: Delay is not denial. Silence is not absence. Waiting is not wasting. I’m also challenging you to take a real look at the quiet thoughts you’ve been carrying… the ones that may be telling you “it’s too late” or “maybe it’s not for me.” Because the truth is, if God spoke it, it’s still in motion. And before you give up, pull back, or stop believing… I need you to consider this: You might be closer than you think. Jump into today’s episode to hear more. Ep 66 The Infinite Game #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple

Welcome, everyone, to the 66th episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week, I am bringing an entrepreneurial tip, and you always know I cross over into the empowered life and make it a Palumbo principle, too. The topic for this episode is the INFINITE game #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple In this episode, I explore the concept of the infinite game and what it means for both life and business. So often, we measure ourselves by timelines, titles, and milestones, thinking we need to “win” or be number one. But the truth is, life is not a finite game with a clear finish line. It’s an ongoing journey where the goal is to keep building, growing, and staying in the game. I break down five key principles that shape infinite thinking, including having a greater cause, building trust, learning from others, adapting when needed, and having the courage to keep going. I also challenge you to rethink where you may feel behind and consider the possibility that you are not losing. You are simply in the middle of your story. Through reflection, I remind you that success is not about quick wins, but about consistency and legacy. My encouragement is simple: stay committed, trust the process, and focus on building something that will outlast you. Jump into today’s episode and be ready for some fire, dropping of knowledge, and you know I always have homework, the good kind. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. Ep 65 The Truth Table - Compound Grief #truthbetold

Welcome, everyone, to the 65th episode of Professor P's Podcast. In this episode, I bring listeners to what I call the TRUTH TABLE. After nearly four years of consistent episodes, I recorded a podcast that simply didn’t feel right and chose not to release it. That moment made me pause and take an honest look at what has really been happening in my life. I realized I have been carrying compound grief, multiple layers of loss and change happening at once. Moving away from the home I lived in for 26 years, losing my father, leaving a long-time church community, and the painful realization that someone I trusted spiritually was not who I believed them to be, have all impacted many areas of my life at the same time. In this episode, I share what it means to keep showing up even when life feels heavy. I talk about how success is not a secret but a system, and how sometimes even the best systems require grace when we are in difficult seasons. Through faith, honesty, and reflection, I remind listeners that strength and vulnerability can exist at the same time. Life isn’t about maintaining perfect streaks. It’s about staying in the game. My encouragement to you is simple: take care of yourself, give yourself grace, and remember that seasons change, even the hard ones. Jump into today’s episode to hear more. Ep 64 Identity, The Energetic Blueprint #elixir

Welcome, everyone, to the 64th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am coming with another dose of Elixir, that energetic fire. My topic is IDENTITY, The Energetic Blueprint #exlixir In this episode, I talk about identity and why it sits at the root of empowerment. A lot of people are living inside identities they didn’t consciously choose. Roles get inherited, expectations get absorbed, labels stick, and survival strategies slowly turn into personality. Over time, those adaptations start to feel like the truth. Identity isn’t just personality; it’s an energetic blueprint. It shapes what feels possible, what feels safe, what feels deserved, and what gets tolerated. If empowerment is the goal, identity has to be examined honestly. Identity forms in layers. Some of it comes from biology, some from the environment, and some from the spiritual core that existed before the world started naming things. The issue isn’t that identity forms. It’s that most people never pause to question it. A powerful shift happens when the question becomes: is this who I truly am, or who I learned to be in order to survive? That distinction opens the door to real transformation. It separates essence from conditioning. There’s a difference between false identity and true identity. False identity is built around protection and performance. It ties worth to approval and mistakes to character. True identity is rooted in intention and design. Through faith, identity becomes something uncovered rather than earned. Mistakes stop being definitions and start becoming experiences. Approval stops being oxygen and becomes optional. That shift stabilizes the inner world. Signs of an unhealthy identity show up as comparison, people-pleasing, validation chasing, and constant self-doubt. Those aren’t personality flaws; they’re fractures. And fractures can heal. Identity strengthens through small acts of integrity. Keeping promises, setting boundaries, choosing alignment over approval, and allowing stillness instead of constant performance. Each honest action reinforces who is actually present underneath the noise. The episode closes with a reminder that identity isn’t invented; it’s revealed. Empowerment is the courage to live from the truest version instead of the safest version. The homework is simple: write down the labels that were given, then write down the identity that feels true beneath them. The space between those two lists is where growth lives. Identity doesn’t need force. It needs honesty. And honesty is where empowerment begins. Jump into today’s episode to hear more. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. Ep 63 Entrepreneurial Growth Strategies (That Also Grow You) #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple

Welcome, everyone, to the 63rd episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week, I am bringing an entrepreneurial tip, and you always know I cross over into the empowered life and make it a Palumbo principle, too. The topic for this episode is Entrepreneurial GROWTH Strategies (That Also GROW You) #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple In this episode, I talk about growth, but not just business growth, personal growth, identity growth, and the capacity we build to hold bigger lives. I share that growth starts with honest measurement. I have to be willing to look at what’s actually happening in my habits, my patterns, and my decisions instead of hiding behind the idea of being “busy.” Awareness is where growth begins. From there, I talk about consistency. Real growth isn’t dramatic. It’s small daily actions repeated long enough to compound. The boring reps are what change everything. I also reflect on feedback and how uncomfortable it can be. Growth requires me to separate my identity from my performance. I’m not my last result. I’m the learner inside the process. Every outcome is information, and if I’m strong enough to use it, feedback becomes fuel instead of a wound. I connect that to expanding capacity. Opportunity means nothing if I don’t have the emotional and mental space to hold it. Growth asks me to regulate my reactions, strengthen my communication, and build tolerance for discomfort. Capacity is the real growth strategy. A big part of this episode is pruning. I talk about how growth isn’t just about adding more. It’s about removing what drains energy without producing purpose. Boundaries, endings, and letting go are part of expansion. And then I go deeper into identity. My capacity to grow is built into who I am. What I can hold is connected to how I identify. For a long time, I felt like an anomaly, like I never fit. I eventually realized that not fitting wasn’t a flaw. It was design. Some of us are built to stand out because we’re built to carry more. The pressure I’ve experienced wasn’t punishment; it was preparation. I close by reminding you that growth is a rhythm, not an event. It’s a daily decision to measure honestly, act consistently, use feedback, expand capacity, prune what no longer fits, and step fully into identity. When I stop trying to shrink myself and start asking what I was built to hold, growth becomes less about chasing success and more about becoming the person who can sustain it. Ep 62 The Power of Intentions and The Keys to Master Them #metaphysics

Welcome, everyone, to the 62nd episode of Professor P's Podcast. And the launch of the Spring 2026 semester. I am coming with another dose of Elixir, that energetic fire that I love to bring to you all. Our topic is The POWER of INENTIONS and the KEYS to MASTER Them. #metaphysics I want to begin by saying thank you to everyone who continues to listen, share, and support this podcast. This summer will mark four years of podcasting for me, and I don’t take this space lightly. I’m grateful to be able to pour into others with encouragement, wisdom, and truth. In my first-quarter newsletter, I began a conversation around intentions and shared that I would continue it here. By the way, if you would like to be added to my email list to receive my quarterly newsletter, my email is below this transcript; just send me a message. Intention is more than a wish or a goal. It’s an aim, a direction, and even a process of healing. When we approach intention through faith, it becomes a spiritual discipline and a partnership with God. Faith isn’t blind, and it isn’t disconnected from responsibility. It invites us to show up intentionally while trusting God with the outcome. We were made in the image of the Creator, which means we are designed to build, create, and participate in what unfolds. Our thoughts, our words, and our actions matter. Scripture reminds us that what we sow bears fruit, and intention helps us stay aligned as we plant with care and integrity. Mastering intention requires a few key practices: clarity about what we desire, action that aligns with our faith, gentle time frames that help us stay focused, surrender of outcomes, and gratitude throughout the process. Not everything unfolds the way we imagine, but faith allows us to trust that God delivers the vision, or something even better. As you move through this week, I invite you to write a few intentions for your life, take small aligned steps, and practice gratitude along the way. Jump into today’s episode to hear more. Ep 61 Guest Speaker Sara Rosales; From Humble Beginnings to Building Your Empire. The Power of Belief! #entrepreneurspotlight

Welcome everyone to the 61st episode of Professor P's Podcast and the finale Fall 2025 Semester episode. I am bringing you another GUEST SPEAKER, Sara Rosales, with Mujerex Enterprise LLC. Our theme is from humble beginnings to building your empire. The POWER of BELIEF! #entrepreneurspotlight   Sara Rosales is the Founder and CEO of Mujerex Enterprise LLC. She is a proud Latina, born and raised in Oceanside, California. She came from humble beginnings where there was no exposure, resources, or opportunities for entrepreneurship. But from an early age, she knew the cultural power of collective community support. In 2020, she had the vision to create a company that would invest in, encourage, support, and lift her community by empowering other women and minority business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools used by large corporations to succeed in the business arena. Having managed legal corporate compliance for companies with assets of over 5 million dollars, she learned that large corporations are winning because they play by a different set of rules, and she believes all business owners deserve a piece of the pie! Her mission is simple! To elevate women and minority business owners to the next level of their business through empowerment, education, and creating a supportive community. She seeks to provide like-minded business owners with the resources, support, and information to make strategic business decisions and invest back in their communities. In 2011, Sara Rosales graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Legal Studies. She received her Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Her dream is to pay it forward, one small business at a time. Ep 60 Beta to be Better #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple

Welcome, everyone, to the 60th episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week, I am bringing you an Entrepreneurial Tip and an Empowered Life/Palumbo Principle. The topic for this show is BETA to be BETTER! #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple “Beta to be Better”, the power of testing, trying, and putting things out into the world before you feel ready. So many of us get stuck waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect idea, the perfect version of ourselves… but perfection is a trap. Progress happens in the beta stage. That’s where clarity, direction, and confidence come from. In this episode, I break down what it really means to create a Minimum Viable Product, an MVP, and why every entrepreneur needs to learn how to test their ideas early and often. I talk about how to build the simplest version of your concept, how to get real feedback from your market, and how to use data, not fear, to guide your next steps. But this isn’t just about business. Testing applies to our lives, too. When we allow ourselves to try new things, experiment, stretch, learn, and grow, we become stronger, clearer, and more aligned with who we’re becoming. I also share why being open to testing is a form of empowerment. So many people never start because they’re afraid to fail, but the truth is this: failure is feedback. Movement is medicine. Action is activation. You grow as you go. And the moment you release the pressure to be perfect, you give yourself the freedom to evolve. My hope is that this episode encourages you to take that next small step, to test your idea, test a new habit, test a new season of your life, and trust that every version you build is preparing you for the person you’re meant to be. Beta is not a weakness; it’s your superpower. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. The Heart of Service #truthbetold

Welcome, everyone, to the 59th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am coming with another dose of Elixir. My energetic fire is still there, but to be very honest, my heart is very real and raw in this week's episode. Our topic today is The HEART of SERVICE #truthbettold. This past weekend has been heavy for me. My daughter’s been struggling, and I’ve been holding her up while trying to keep myself steady. In the middle of it all, the Holy Spirit whispered, “This is the heart of service.” And that hit me deep. Because service isn’t glamorous, it’s sacrifice. It’s praying through tears, showing up when you’re tired, and loving when it hurts. Real service costs something. I thought about all who serve: parents, teachers, caregivers, veterans, and ministers. People who give even when they’re running on empty. God sees that. He sees you. The enemy may try to shake the servant, but the Word says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” If you’re weary, remember, your service matters. God hasn’t forgotten you. The same hands that serve others are the hands He will strengthen. So, this week, I’m praying, “Lord, steady my heart and remind me why I said yes.” Because the heart of service is the heart of Christ, and that’s where I want to stay. Jump into today’s episode to hear my very real and raw moment with you as I share my heart of service. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. And I would love for you to subscribe, leave me a review, and share this podcast with everyone you know. Ep 58 The Confidence to Get Started #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple

Welcome, everyone, to the 58th episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week, I am bringing you an Entrepreneurial Tip and an Empowered Life/Palumbo Principle. The topic for this show is The CONFIDENCE to get STARTED! #entrepreneurialtip #empoweredlife #palumboprinciple Big shoutout to my Business Promotions class at MiraCosta College for helping me out with today’s topic. I was so inspired today with all the different topics they gave me, and in this episode, I touch on a few, but the one that really resonated was inspired by one of my students who said, “Professor, my friends are so talented, but they don’t have the confidence to put themselves out there.” That hit me hard because I’ve been there too, full of ideas, full of potential, but unsure if I was ready. This episode is here to activate your belief and remind you of the power you already possess. Confidence isn’t something you wait to feel. It’s something you build through action. You grow as you go. I’ll share how taking up space, learning as you grow, and believing in your purpose can completely shift your mindset and your momentum. I also want to give you some practical tools to get started, because confidence grows when you’re moving. I talk about free resources through the SBA (www.sba.gov), online workshops, and the next simple steps you can take right now to start building your business. I am also gifting you all with a free 1:1 session with me. For whatever you need. I am here for you. Just email me. I want you to understand that we collaborate more than we compete in this world, and that what you are called to create, only you can create. This episode is all about activating your power, sharpening your faith, and taking that first bold step toward your goals. I want you to believe in yourself, in your ideas, and in the impact you are meant to make. Because the next level of your life is waiting, and it starts with the confidence to begin. Ep 57 The Power of Faith #Mastery

Welcome, everyone, to the 57th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am coming with another dose of Elixir, that energetic power you all love so much! Our topic today is The POWER of FAITH #mastery. Faith is the spiritual force that not only moves mountains but anchors our souls in both this life and the eternal one to come. Faith isn’t just believing in what you can see, it’s believing because you know who God is. In this episode, I remind you that faith is not passive; it’s active, alive, and essential for every believer who desires to walk in divine alignment and purpose. Through real talk, scripture, and heart activation, I invite my listeners to lift their hands, those waiting on promises, breakthroughs, and open doors, and receive a fresh wind of faith. You’ll be reminded that while faith may not always make sense, it always makes way. This episode will stir your spirit, strengthen your trust, and reignite your belief that what God promised, He will perform. And you know, I love to give homework!  So, every day this week, speak by faith over something you’re believing for. Don’t just wish for it, work your faith. Write one declaration of faith daily, thank God in advance, and take one small action step toward it. Remember: Faith without works is dead. Jump into today’s episode to hear more. Ep. 55 The Journey #Mastery

Welcome, everyone, to the 55th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am back for the Fall Semester, and I couldn’t be more excited to be with you all. I am kicking us off in true Professor Palumbo fashion, and I am coming with a dose of Elixir, that energetic power. Our topic today is The JOURNEY #mastery. Everyone wants the destination—the breakthrough, the answer, the promise fulfilled. But it’s the journey that shapes us, heals us, and grows us. The journey is where God teaches us who we really are, and who He really is. Here’s the thing, though: sometimes on the journey, we stop moving. We get stuck. We take a campground—something that was meant to be temporary—and try to make it a permanent home. Maybe it’s a place of pain. Maybe it’s a comfort zone. Maybe it’s just familiarity. But the journey isn’t about staying—it’s about growing. You can’t let a season that was meant to shape you turn into a prison that defines you. Don’t camp where God called you to pass through. Trust the process of the journey. Even when it’s slow, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it feels like everyone else is “further ahead.” Enjoy the journey. Let yourself notice the small victories, the unexpected blessings, the ways God provides strength for each step. You don’t have to rush. You don’t have to compare. You don’t have to camp in yesterday’s grief or yesterday’s success. Because God’s process is perfect. And when you trust His process, you’ll realize the journey isn’t wasted time—it’s the very thing that prepares you for the promise. Questions to ask your listeners while speaking: Where have you been camping that God only meant you to pass through? Are you trusting the process of your journey, or are you fighting it? What would it look like for you to enjoy the season you’re in right now, even before the destination? Homework / Call to Action: This week, write down three things about your current journey that you can be grateful for. Not the destination, not what you’re waiting on—but right here, right now. Then pray over them and thank God for being with you on the journey. Jump into today’s episode to hear more. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. Ep 52 The Belly of the Whale #faith

Welcome, everyone, to the 52nd episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am so excited to bring you another dose of Elixir, that energetic power. Today’s topic is the BELLY of the WHALE #faith Inspired by Jonah 2 and led by divine insight, I unpack how God sometimes prepares custom storms and tailor-made situations—“special fish”—to stop us in our tracks, not to punish us, but to realign us with His purpose. I explore the darkness of the belly season—the place where we feel alone, cut off, and without direction—and remind us that even there, God is present and listening. This is where we cry out not with the Bible in hand, but with the Word engraved on our hearts. And it's in that sacred darkness that repentance begins—not just as a one-time apology, but as a transformational process of trust. This episode will speak to anyone who feels stuck, uncertain, or like they’ve been swallowed whole by life. Get ready to see how God uses even the most uncomfortable places to restore, reposition, and eventually project us forward—into calling, into purpose, into destiny. Ep 48 Desire But Do Not Thirst #truthbetold

Welcome everyone to the 48th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am so excited to bring you another dose of Elixir, that energetic power. Today’s topic is DESIRE but do not THIRST! #truthbetold Desire is like a flame that warms the heart; thirst is like a wildfire that consumes the soul. What are you desiring... and what are you thirsting for? Which one is leading you? Desire is one of the highest powers of the soul, as without desire, nothing would ever be achieved. No person who attains the state of a happy marriage, financial security, or spiritual fulfillment does so by accident. Desire is an integral part of life and is essential to our biological survival. What we have to do is be very careful not to become thirsty. The state of thirsting – or craving and compulsively grasping for one’s desires – causes unhappiness. Do not let your desires get to a point that they make you thirsty. This happens far too often in our world. Thirst is uncomfortable, so we look to quench that thirst. We set goals, and we believe we are incomplete if we don’t achieve them. This results in a steady state of low-level fear. You see, the emotional feeling of “I won’t be happy unless I get this, or have that, or be with this person, or go to this place, and so on” also contains the sense of “I am not happy” In the Bible, desire can be something godly and positive when it aligns with God's will. It's often portrayed as a natural yearning for righteousness, wisdom, or God's presence. On the other hand, thirst, especially when uncontrolled or misplaced, can represent a deep, restless craving that leaves the soul unsatisfied, symbolizing spiritual emptiness. Psalm 37:4 (Desire Properly Directed) "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Here, desire is healthy because it's rooted in delighting in God. It's not a desperate thirst for worldly things but a peaceful yearning aligned with divine purpose. John 4:13-14 (Thirst for Temporary Things vs. Eternal Satisfaction): "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst." Jesus contrasts earthly thirst (temporary satisfaction) with the living water He provides. This is a powerful metaphor: chasing after worldly things leaves us perpetually thirsty, but His presence quenches in a way nothing else can.   Holy Desire: Aligned, Anchored, Abundant Desire, in its purest form, draws you closer to purpose. It’s that spark God places in your heart—a calling, a vision, a yearning to become more, give more and love deeper. Psalm 37:4 teaches us that when our desires align with God (delighting in Him), they’re not frantic but fulfilled. Desire becomes powerful when it’s not rooted in lack but in alignment. Dangerous Thirst: Restless, Relentless, Empty Thirst is what the world often feeds us—a hunger that’s never satisfied. It’s the endless scroll, the constant comparison, the "just a little more and I’ll be happy" mentality. Jesus addressed this in John 4, speaking to the Samaritan woman. She had been thirsting for validation, relationships, fulfillment—but none quenched her soul. He offers living water, satisfaction that ends the cycle. Thirst leaves you chasing. Desire, properly placed, leads you to rest. Contentment in the Middle (Philippians 4) Paul wasn’t anti-desire. He had ambitions and goals! But he had learned the “secret”: contentment isn’t the absence of desire—it’s the absence of desperation. You can desire growth, success, healing, and relationships—but when those desires become obsessions, you’ve crossed into thirsting. Let me ask you some questions: What am I desiring right now? Is it aligned with God’s will or fueled by comparison/fear/lack? Where in my life do I feel restless, like no matter what I achieve, it’s not enough? Am I content even if my desires aren’t fulfilled yet? Homework Assignment "The Desire Inventory" Make 3 Lists: God-Given Desires – What dreams or callings stir your spirit, bringing peace when you think about them? World-Fed Thirsts – What things do you chase that leave you drained, anxious, or comparing yourself to others? Areas of Contentment – Where in your life are you already full but maybe overlooking it? Daily Practice (5-7 days): Morning Prayer/Reflection Prompt: "Lord, help me desire what You desire for me. Remove every thirst that leads me away from Your peace." Evening Journal Entry: Reflect: Did I act today out of desire or thirst? What drove my choices and thoughts? Challenge: Choose ONE worldly thirst to fast from this week (social media, comparison, material obsession, needing approval, etc.) and intentionally replace it with something life-giving (Scripture, prayer, calling a mentor, creative time). Desire can build you. Thirst can break you. You were not made to live parched and restless—you were made to live filled, fueled by holy desire. Desire, but do not thirst—long for righteousness, purpose, and growth, but stay rooted in divine sufficiency, not desperate lack. So let’s jump into today’s episode to hear more. Ep 47 The 4-Talents #entrepreneurialtip

Welcome everyone to the 47th episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week, I am bringing you another entrepreneurial tip. The topic for this show is THE 4-TALENTS #entrepreneurialtip “Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee.” —Muhammad Ali, World Champion Boxer Muhammad Ali was one of the greatest boxers of all time. His success is directly related to his ability to think systematically, which created thought patterns and processes that attracted greatness to him. He was a very skilled and talented boxer and would out-practice anyone. As an Empowered Entrepreneur, you need to be skilled like Ali. You need to have his same work ethic. You need to understand the power of your unique frequency, which is your thought process. You need to settle for nothing less than greatness. You will need to understand your unique talents. There are four talents that are critical to being an Empowered Entrepreneur: Imagination Experimentation Insight Wisdom When was the last time you played? I mean freely played, when your imagination just ran wild. Do you remember being a child and playing without a care in the world? There are so many benefits to playing—most importantly, the ability to heighten our imagination. When we can imagine with no self-censorship getting in the way, no pressure from the matrix telling us we are getting it wrong, we become so liberated. So much learning can be found no matter what form of play you encounter. Imagination is sparked. As an Empowered Entrepreneur, it is important you develop the talent of imagination. It opens the mind, and when the mind is open, there is no limit to what it can and will produce. Imagination also activates creativity. I am always surprised at the number of people who believe they are not creative. Now, I understand that some people are not that crafty. I get that part, but when mothers especially tell me they are not that creative, I think to myself, How is that? You created a human, for God’s sake! Imagination and creativity open a whole new level of thinking for you. It is that key that finds solutions to problems. But do you know what blocks creativity? FEAR. Yes, fear. False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is an emotional roadblock. Before we even get started being creative, fear pops in with self-doubt and insecurity. Then we self-censor. The mind is so powerful, but when limited, it is very weak. You must turn the self-censor off and stop dancing with your complex issue. Pick up the brush of creativity and paint your future. The Empowered Entrepreneur doesn’t predict his or her future; they imagine it. They create it. The talent of experimentation is why scientists are so damn cool. They experiment all the time. Without experimentation, we would not have many of the inventions we have today, nor would we have the future. Thomas Edison is one of my favorite inventors of all time. Do you know how many times he failed while creating the light bulb? So many times! But it was through experiment that he finally arrived at the light bulb, and that sucker is everywhere today. You will be required in Entrepreneurship Empowered to get out of the building and or office and go experiment. Go try your product on the consumer. Go test your theory in the marketplace. Then you will know which next steps to take with your services or products. Everything in Entrepreneurship Empowered is about action and trying. When you experiment, you become open to learning about how new processes would work for your organization and ways to effectively cut costs in order to help manage cash flow. Again, there is no limit to what experimenting can do for you as you launch, manage, and grow your business. One of the best places for you to do some experimenting is at a makerspace. A makerspace is a collaborative workspace. Co-working spaces can also be rented for start-up businesses. You will find all kinds of elements at a makerspace—from 3D printers to sewing machines. Everything from coding to the creation of art takes place in a makerspace. It is a hub for genius and creativity. You can use most of the equipment found there. You will need to learn how to use the equipment first, of course, but after that, you are good to go. If you are in my class at one of the colleges or in my virtual course, you will be introduced to our makerspace. There are makerspaces everywhere—all you have do is search online for them, and I am sure you will find one in your area. I encourage you to go explore and experiment. A study at the University of Michigan revealed that empathy levels in our world have dropped dramatically—“College kids today are about 40 percent lower in empathy than their counterparts of 20 or 30 years ago.”3 I am so shocked at how much we just don’t care for humankind. The skill of insight is critical to life and business. The definition of insight, according to the dictionary, is “the capacity to gain an accurate and deep intuitive understanding of a person or thing.” In essence, insight is being empathic. Being able to relate and understand your clients’ needs or your customers’ needs is the golden key to maintaining their loyalty and business. Being able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes will open your mind, enabling you to create better solutions for them. You may create products or services that fit their needs which were unmet prior to your solutions. This is only one of the reasons why insight is so important to have, not only as an Empowered Entrepreneur, but as a human being. Some people who are what we call “empaths” believe they are cursed. But I am here to set the record straight: you are far from cursed. You are gifted, and we need your gift more today than ever before. Wisdom is timeless. Many people are wise with age, and some never carry wisdom at all because they do not take time to reflect. As an Empowered Entrepreneur, I demand action. I am results-driven. But I never negate the power of reflection, and in Entrepreneurship Empowered, you must have both action and reflection in equal measure. It is in the reflection that we gain wisdom. How often do you reflect? From how your day was, to giving a presentation at work. When reflecting, it is important to have a pen and notepad available, or your computer if you like. Write it all out, from the good to the bad to the ugly. Even reflecting on the weather or season is critical. Take note of the time of day and your energy level—all very important pieces to your puzzle. To be successful in any area, you must exercise wisdom and plan carefully. If wisdom is to bring you prosperity, joy, admiration, and longevity of life, then you must be disciplined to reflect daily. Your homework is to reflect on all that was covered in this episode. I want to hear from you too. Reach out to me and let me know how you are doing, what you discover, and where you need some additional encouragement or resources to help you. Ep 46 Mindset Matters #Mastery

Welcome everyone to the 46th episode of Professor P's Podcast. After a nice winter break, I am back for the Spring Semester with a new series of episodes. I always start my season with a dosage of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is MINDSET MATTERS #mastery I know you have heard it a thousand times, but you could hear it a thousand more and still need to hear it more. Mindset matters! I teach it the most in this world. So of course, I am going to start the new year with a dose of it! You see life through your own unique lens. This is your mindset – the assumptions and expectations you hold about yourself, your life, and the situations around you. Research shows that mindsets play a significant role in determining life’s outcomes. By understanding, adapting, and shifting your mindset, you can improve your health, decrease your stress, and become more resilient to life’s challenges. Have you ever heard of Neuroplasticity? Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to change and adapt in response to new experiences and stimuli. It's also known as brain plasticity or neural plasticity. How neuroplasticity works  The brain's neural networks reorganize and grow The brain forms new neural pathways The brain's structure, function, and connections change When neuroplasticity occurs during development, in response to the environment, in support of learning, in response to disease, and with therapy.  The wonderful thing about it is that you get to create new pathways. But I need you to think about what you are going to stop doing and start doing to help yourself go and live a more fulfilled life. That is your homework this week. Really think about your mindset. Think about what vision you have for your life. Is your mindset helping you get there or keeping you from it? I want you to go back and listen to my prior episodes (listed below) to help reinforce the message found in this episode. Ep 14 The Power of I am #truthbetold Ep 10 The Power of Your Belief Systems #mastery Ep 2: The Power of Your Words. In Thought, Speech, and Writings. #mastery Ep 1: Vision far enough to see; Patience enough to wait for the vision to come to pass. #mastery So let’s jump into today’s episode to hear more. Ep 45 Faith to Rest #truthbetold

Welcome everyone to the 45th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am back with a dosage of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is FAITH to REST #truthbetold Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Just as our physical eyesight is the sense that gives us evidence of the material world, faith is the “sense” that gives us evidence of the invisible, spiritual world. Faith has its reasons. The Bible doesn’t recommend a “blind leap” of faith. But the reasons can’t be measured in a laboratory; they have to be understood spiritually. Faith extends beyond what we learn from our senses, and the author is saying that it has its reasons. Its tests are not those of the senses, which yield uncertainty. Physical eyesight produces a conviction or evidence of visible things; faith is the organ that enables people to see the invisible order. Of things hoped for… of things not seen: If you have the substance before you or if you can see it, there is no use for faith. Faith is needed for what we can’t see and can’t touch. Faith does not contradict reason, though it may go beyond reason. One may objectively prove the Bible is the most unique book ever published and has impacted society more than any other book. But only faith can prove that the Bible is the Word of God. Therefore, this is a belief beyond reason but not in contradiction to reason or against reason. Faith is the substance… the evidence: Faith is not a bare belief or intellectual understanding. It is a willingness to trust in, to rely on, and to cling to. Sarah’s faith was not perfect. She first laughed in unbelief (Genesis 18:9-15) and then she learned to laugh in faith (Genesis 21:6). Because she judged Him faithful who had promised: Faith comes down to judging that God is faithful and able to keep His promises.  Truly walking by faith produces something beautiful in us: Rest. "Rest and trust in the Lord" means to relinquish control and anxieties, fully relying on God's plan and provision, finding peace and comfort in knowing that He is in charge, essentially letting go of worry and surrendering to His will; this concept is often referenced in the Bible, particularly in Psalm 37:7 which says, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him" Jump into today’s episode to hear more. Ep 44 Know Your Numbers #entrepreneurialtip

Welcome everyone to the 44th episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week I am bringing you another entrepreneurial tip. The topic for this show is KNOW your NUMBERS! #entrepreneurialtip Managing your money and knowing your numbers are instrumental in the control and success of your business. You will need to ensure you take great care of your financial matters. It is wise to bring in help with your financial matters. Consider hiring a certified public accountant (CPA) or bookkeeper, or use an online service. A CPA will typically cost more than online services but can normally offer more tailored services for your specific business needs. A bookkeeper can provide basic day-to-day functions at a lower cost but won’t possess the formal accounting education of a CPA. Learning how to manage your money is a must. If you don’t know how to manage your money, then you surely will not know how to manage a business’s money. Poor financial planning and managing of funds is one of the main reasons why businesses fail. Did you know the wealthy have a language all their own? Well, they do. They understand the true meaning of assets and liabilities. They speak stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and securities. They pay attention to the flow of money not only in our country but the world. Therefore, if you are going to go from startup to success, you will need to understand the language of the wealthy. There are a few financial reports I want you to become familiar with: the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. In the back of the book, I have given charts for you to see what each one of them looks like. The income statement is a financial report that measures the financial performance of your business on a monthly or annual basis. The income statement tells you just that: how much income (profit/loss). The balance sheet is a financial report that shows what the company owes and what it owns, including shareholders’ stake. The balance sheet has a particular formula which, again, must be balanced. This is the fundamental accounting equation: Assets = Liabilities + Owner’s Equity. The balance sheet is going to show you the big picture, help you measure the value of your business, and can serve as an early warning sign. The cash flow statement is a financial report that details the inflows and outflows of cash for a company over a set period of time. You always want to be aware of your cash flow. Cash is king. I need you all to take a managerial accounting class or a basic accounting class. You can even search on YouTube for classes that can teach you the basics. I make all my students track their money. This is one of the best ways to figure out what is really going on with your finances. The longer you can track, the better. I have my students’ track for two weeks. However, I would say that if you can track for a month up to three months, you will have some good data. You must track it to the penny. Always keep a little book with you and don’t miss one cent. Seriously, to the penny. Once you have tracked your money, you will then need to reflect and have a come-to-Jesus moment with yourself. Now, if you are already savvy and smart with your money, that’s great; I would still ask you to see how you could level up and become even wiser. You are all my students, so now you have the homework to track your money and face the music! Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. Ep 43 Question your Conditioning #truthbetold

Welcome everyone to the 43rd episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am back with a dosage of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is QUESTION your CONDITIONING #truthbetold The definition of the condition is: to have a significant influence on or determine (the manner or outcome of something) train or accustom (someone or something) to behave in a certain way or to accept certain circumstances. I am asking you all to question your conditioning—the things you were shaped by. In my ethics class, we discuss theories of how we were born. There is the theory we were born as a blank slate. There is a theory we were born with prior knowledge. There is a theory that we were born good and evil. I take the example of the blank slate and demonstrate how as we grow from birth we begin to be layered with jackets. The conditioning of our grandparents, our parents, our education, our environment, our society, and so on. Before you know it I am covered and weighted, which is how we look with the layers of conditioning that limit us in our daily lives. It takes work to pull layers of conditioning off, but it is all worth it. It is time to stop living in a legacy of conditioning and start living in one of empowerment! This is your season to live your life. It is ok to keep the good things. Faith and character are good legacies to pass down. If you need help sorting through the good conditioning versus the bad and limiting. You can reach out to me. If you need someone to listen to you, to hold space. I am here for you. Your homework is to sit and begin to question your conditions. Think about it and begin to make a plan to break free. “To change beliefs or perceptions about yourself or your life, you must make a decision with such firm intention that the amplitude of energy is greater than the hardwired programs in your brain – and the emotions conditioned in your body”. – Dr. Joe Dispenza Remember to connect with me on social media. Ep 42 AI and Entrepreneurship #entrepreneurialtip

Welcome everyone to the 42nd episode of Professor P's Podcast. This week I am bringing an entrepreneurial tip. The topic for this show is AI and ENTREPRENEURSHIP #entrepreneurialtip AI is rapidly changing our world. I am using more of it myself. Especially since I moved to San Diego. I wanted to share my thoughts with you regarding it and entrepreneurship. I am seeing more and more of it in my college classes and as a small business owner myself as mentioned, I am starting to use it more and more. I recently had a meeting with a leader at San Diego State and part of our discussion was on AI and how it could help me in my business. In an area I didn’t even think about. The conversation inspired this podcast today. There is a technology that doesn’t even exist yet that we need to start preparing for. We are not necessarily going to be replaced by technology but rather by those who master it. I am pushing you to learn more about it in this episode and to go and try it out if you have not done so already. AI is the internet 2.0 and from it we will see new leaders and businesses emerge. You need to be ready to evolve as time does. From copying paper records to scanning to now process serving, I have seen technology completely transform my core industry of document retrieval. AI is going to do it again. The way I have stayed in the game as long as I have is by being a scholar of life. I am constantly learning and gaining new skill sets. I need you to do the same. Jump into today’s episode and be ready for some fire, dropping of knowledge, and a call to action. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. Ep. 41 Grace to Grieve #truthbetold

Welcome everyone to the 41st episode of Professor P's Podcast. After a long summer break, I am back with a dosage of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is the GRACE to GRIEVE #truthbetold There can be great value to opening one’s grief. Grief is just a hallway. It is not the end. It is the darkest soul of the night. But Jesus is with us through it all. He is even moved by our grief. The same grief that stops us can motivate us to move on. Even in pain, we can make progress!!  The sun is about to rise! I want to encourage you all. Faith isn’t a blind leap; it is a reasonable step based on strong evidence.  With faith in God and His Son, with the receiving of His Spirit and His peace, we can have an untroubled heart in a quite troubled life. Do not put your expectations on anything other than God. You will be disappointed. But if you TRUST in the Lord He will add everything you need to you. Keep your eyes on Him! Be humble! God is your expectation and glory!  You have to walk through the process of TRUTH. You have to pull from what God has deposited inside of you. It’s all there. He designed you from the beginning with all you need. God is growing my faith. Faith is not a mushroom that grows overnight in damp soil; it is an oak tree that grows for a thousand years under the blast of the wind and rain. Remember it’s not the power we wield, but the love in which we are held, is our proper joy. He holds us in His LOVE.  Instead of giving up when things look bad, trust the LORD and fight all the harder and decide you will not give up. Courage and persistence win many battles.  You will make it to the shore on the broken pieces and there I will find MORE. When the branch breaks, you will not fall, because you were meant to fly. Even though gravity is set to pull us down, God has given us wings so we may fly. And when we grow tired, we can rest under His.  Trust in your wings. More so, never lose faith in His wings. When you grow tired you can rest under His wing. Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his - faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. He will not only keep you under His wings, but He will also give fresh wind for tired wings. If you need prayer, please reach out. I am here to serve you. But for now, I leave you with this prayer, which has been getting me through. We can only move forward in this life with GRACE my friends. Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Ep 38 Marketing and Branding; Self Branding #entrepreneurialtip

Welcome everyone to the 38th episode of Professor P's Podcast. Welcome to this month’s entrepreneurial tip. The topic for this show is Marketing and Branding, SELF-BRANDING! Marketing and branding are some of my favorite topics to teach and discuss. In this episode, I will give you some of my best tips regarding both. First, we dive into the power of color psychology. I give homework out right away with the first homework doing research on what each color psychology and really understanding what meaning each color holds. In branding color is very important. My branding colors are blue, black, white for my entrepreneurship lane and I add sliver for my empowerment lane. I am brand loyal. I even drove a blue Camero till this year when I changed it out for a black one. Along with color psychology, I also give home to learn and deepen your understanding of emotional intelligence and emotional marketing. They are tied together. I tell the story of the genius of Proctor and Gamble’s Marketing team and a signature commercial of theirs which focused on the mothers of Olympians. Show how they took them to all their games and practices as young children. The ad is soul touching because it really showcased the love of a mother and her children. How they are truly the ones behind the athlete the entire time. They then seal the deal by telling the audience they have sponsored several tickets to the Olympics for the mothers of Olympians. This type of emotional marketing drove sales through the roof. Genius!! I end by giving you a self-branding exercise that I give to all my entrepreneurs and students. It is a very powerful assignment. Everything we build comes from ourselves. In business your brand is rooted in YOU, so it is important if you are going to be an EMPOWERED entrepreneur to ensure you have your own self branding down. The same is true for those who want to live an EMPOWERED LIFE! Jump into the episode and make sure to have paper and something to write with. Remember to connect with me on social media. Ep 37 Listening vs. Hearing #mastery

Welcome everyone to the 37th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am bringing you another dose of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is LISTENING vs. HEARING #mastery Did you know there is a difference between listening and hearing? There absolutely is. Many times, we are just hearing the world and people around us. We don’t really listen. Effective communication is where there is an understanding. But when we are only hearing someone, we are not seeking an understanding because we can only do that when we listen intently. I have the honor of teaching some of the most amazing students around. For the past few years, I have taught business communication, and this is one of our hot topics. My students are always amazed and quickly realize that most of the time they are just hearing. What I love is from that point of revelation, they begin to change and start truly listening. The more intently we listen the better we learn!   Listeners are some of the highest paid people on the planet. Just look at therapist for an example. They are paid to truly listen to us. Myself as a coach, consultant, and teacher, must truly listen to have a better understanding of my client and my students’ needs. Relationships are important and truly listening to those we have relationships with, and others is mission critical to living the empowered life and to be an empowered entrepreneur. I have some powerful homework for you this week. So, jump into this episode to hear more and make sure you do that homework. It will help you in so many ways. Ep 35 Delayed Gratification #mastery

Welcome everyone to the 35th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am bringing you another dose of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is DELAYED GRATIFICATION #mastery Delayed gratification and emotional intelligence are tied together. In our very fast world where everything is at our fingertips, we can get pretty much anything we want right now. But it is important to learn how to have delayed gratification. What does that even me. It means that you wait for greater. Instead of taking a weekend trip to the Bay Area or wherever you might want to go, you save that money for an even greater trip to Rome or some other country. We are not animals; we are intelligent human beings who can wait. There is great power in patience. Did you know that?  But again, our world today isn’t set up for much patience. Fashion is fast, Amazon is fast, we have microwave moments all over the place. But the real power is being able to delay our gratification for greater. How many of you want greater in your life? Look at all the hands going up! Well hop into today’s podcast to hear more about delayed gratification. I will give you homework as always, make sure you take some time to do it. Ep 34 The Power of Networking #entrepreneurshiptip

Welcome everyone to the 34th episode of Professor P's Podcast. Welcome to this month’s entrepreneurial tip. The topic for this show is NETWORKING, there is great power in your network. It is a key to the foundation of being an EMPOWERED entrepreneur and one who lives an EMPOWERED life. “Networking is an investment in your business. It takes time and when done correctly can yield great results for years to come.”—Diane Helbig According to the Oxford dictionary, networking is defined as “interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts...it’s so important to network when starting a new business.” What I love is that even the dictionary states how important it is for startups to network. There are over 7 billion people on the planet, each one holding a key. Many of them have a key you need. It is important to find them and obtain the key. It is the only key that unlocks the door that you were called to walk through. Far too often, we take for granted how important people are, especially as we become even more dependent on technology. But as you will see when I address the power of human capital, we are nothing without people. When building your network, you want to think about your target market and then build a circle around them. Start by identifying who they are. Once you’ve accomplished that, I need you to identify where they might be, who might work with them, who might serve them. Here is an example: a large target for me is the underserved. I am here for them. So, I need to build my network with social services that care for the underserved. Then, I’m able to work with my target market and be paid for the work I do. My network needs to be built with nonprofits, county department of health and welfare, and the like. That means I need to be at networking events where underserved people will be attending. You understand? I’m making connections outside of my direct target. The same is true for you. Your homework: I want you to make a list of the important contacts in your network. These will be individuals who may provide information to you, advice, inspiration, encouragement, and the like. When you write them down, you can note what it is that you get from each person. What value does the exchange you have with them bring to your life? Then, I want you to note next to their name who introduced you to them. How was it that you met? If you introduced yourself to them, then just put “me.” In networking, there are brokers, and if you are familiar with what brokers do, they connect. In real estate, they connect buyers to sellers. My dear friend Henry Einstein, who wrote the foreword for my book Startup to Success, is a real estate broker and a powerful connector. This young man is a business genius, and he is able to not only connect buyers to sellers, but his ability to network is out of this world. Today, he has a strong network of individuals who have influence, affiliations, wealth, and power. For the purpose of this activity, the person who connected you with your contact is the broker. You are going to need to find out who your brokers are. If you see “me” appear too many times, you know that you have an inbred network. Diversity is extremely important to your network. Please make sure to build a diverse network so that you don’t get caught up in group thinking. No more inbred networks! In an article titled “How to Build Your Network,” which was featured in the Harvard Business Review, Brian Uzzi and Shannon Dunlap write: “According to our studies, if you’ve introduced yourself to your key contacts more than 65% of the time, then you’re probably building your network using the self-similarity principle and your network may be too inbred. The self-similarity principle states that, when you make network contacts, you tend to choose people who resemble you in terms of experience, training, worldview, and so on. We have found that executives, in particular, disproportionately use the self-similarity principle to build their networks. Obviously, it is easier to trust someone who views the world through the same lens you do; you expect that person to act as you would in ambiguous situations. What’s more, working with people who share your background is often very efficient: You both recognize concepts that allow you to transfer information quickly, and you are less likely to challenge one another’s ideas. Finally, like-minded people will usually affirm your point of view and, as a result, gratify your ego. Too much similarity restricts your access to discrepant information, which is crucial to both creativity and problem solving. If all your contacts think the way you do, who will question your reasoning or push you to expand your horizon? And because, over time, people tend to introduce their contacts to one another so that everyone becomes friends, the similarity of thought and skill reverberates, creating what we call an echo chamber.” If you don’t have a network, you can build one! Start with LinkedIn. It is built for the business world, and you can start building right there. I am currently experiencing the power of LinkedIn’s networking power. As I prepare for my transition to San Diego, I must build a new network there. LinkedIn has been instrumental in connecting me to super connectors and the opportunities are overflowing before me. If you don’t have a LinkedIn profile, then that is also your homework. Make sure to connect with me. Outside of online social networking building opportunities you can show up to mixers and business events. Go to conference. Get out and experience what the beautiful business world has to offer you. Talk to people. Listen to people genuinely. Some final notes on networking, I want you to understand you are building trust. Therefore, you must be a trustworthy person and do right by people. Bad business, no matter how long the run, will always end in destruction. Do yourself a favor and do right by people. Make sure you are a person of your word. If you say you will do something, then do it. If you make a contact at an event and you tell them you will be contacting them, you should honor your word. You never know when you are being linked to a broker who could link you to your next big break. I need you to make networking a priority and understand it requires you to invest your time. You cannot build your business alone. Even if you are going to be a sole proprietor, you are still an empowered entrepreneur, which means you understand that you need people on your team and you need to make finding and connecting with them a priority. Ep 33 Necessary Endings, Bring New Beginnings #truthbetold

Welcome everyone to the 33rd episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am bringing you another dose of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is NECESSARY ENDINGS, brings NEW BEGINNINGS #truthbetold I am currently listening to a book by Dr. Henry Cloud titled Necessary Endings. The book is so amazing and is my inspiration for this episode. Dr. Henry Cloud is a clinical psychologist. In this book, Necessary Endings, the premise is endings are a normal part of life. Endings matter and are present in all areas of our lives. Learning to recognize endings is critical. Endings are a necessity for life to thrive in areas of existence. Dr. Cloud offers a mixture of advice and case studies to help readers. He discusses things like pruning, distorted hope and realistic hope, the importance of knowing when to hold on and when to allow a necessary ending to take place. According to Dr. Cloud, today may be the enemy of your tomorrow. In your business and perhaps your life, the tomorrow that you desire and envision may never come to pass if you do not end some things, you are doing today. Getting to the next level always requires ending something, leaving it behind, and moving on. Growth itself demands that we move on. Without the ability to end things, people stay stuck, never becoming who they are meant to be, never accomplishing all that their talents and abilities should afford them. To those who don’t understand how seeds work, it can look like destruction the process the seed must endure. It literally cracks itself open to allow the sprout to appear which then grows and leaves the shell behind. The necessary ending to the seed is the new beginnings of the plant that holds life in it. Pruning in our lives is so important. It is strategic. I had the blessing of living on a vineyard for close to 10 years. Each year I would watch as the farmers would cut back the beautiful, lush growth of the season. The pruning was so intense. There was nothing left but the bareness of the vine. But then each year like clockwork a lusher vineyard appeared. This is the cycle of life that we do not take advantage of enough. What in your life do you need to cut off? Do you need God to help you? Let Him cut you I say. I am a living, walking, testament to the goodness of His pruning. If the vine had held on to the lushness of one season it would have been stuck in that season. I don’t care how much hope it had in a new season; it would not have worked. That is what a distorted hope looks like. Many of us have distorted hope when it comes to relationships. We don’t understand the importance of one’s character. Dr. Cloud goes in depth into false hope and what real hope looks like. He explains, for hope we need a satellite. One that will give you the most accurate predictions is the ability to diagnose character. Once you learn the character traits that give real reason to hope that tomorrow can be different, you can know better whom you want to invite into your tomorrow. You can know that there is a real reason to go forward. He goes on to explain there are basically three types of people in the world, or better, three styles of behavior that a person can exhibit in a particular time or context. 1. Wise people 2. Foolish people 3. Evil people. The person who ultimately does well is the one who can learn from his own experience or the experience of others, make that learning a part of himself, and then deliver results from that experience base. Which brings us to the key to the wise person: When truth presents itself, the wise person sees the light, takes it in, and adjusts. The mature person meets the demands of life, while the immature person demands that life meets their demands. And that is the problem with the fool. Whereas the chief descriptor of the wise person is that when the light shows up, he looks at it, receives it, joins it, and adjusts his behavior to align with the light, the fool does the opposite: he rejects the feedback, resists it, explains it away, and does nothing to adjust to meet its requirements. In short, the fool tries to adjust the truth, so he does not have to adjust to it. Now, these people are the ones who will hurt you intentionally because they want to. You need to protect yourself, your family, church, business, and everything from an “evil” person. Here is where most people go wrong by giving “evil” people the benefit of the doubt or second chances. According to Cloud when a person with malevolent intentions makes themselves known believe them and get them out of your life or at least take protective actions to have an offense when they attack your life. The truth is endings can be and are difficult, even painful, and sometimes are cause for grief and a deep sense of loss. We must face the grieving process that is a mental and emotional letting go or end. We face a new reality brought on by an ending, whatever it may be, this means we must feel and process the feelings and the emotions associated with the ending and the change brought on. This grief helps because it has movement to it; it goes forward. When we don’t face our grief, we can get stuck in the past, hanging on to false hope or staying angry at something that has happened in the past. Some people go decades, even lifetimes wasting their lives by not engaging in the process of Necessary Endings. People who successfully navigate life have one thing in common: they get in touch with reality. I am calling you forward into reality. Necessary endings are a normal part of life. Even the word tells us that in Ecclesiastes. There is a season for everything. Your homework is to go inward and reflect on what really needs to end your life. Start with your closet! Let go of those old closes that are not serving you. Those treasure boxes are turning into trash boxes. If you are in a poor relationship and you are holding onto your hope, is it real hope or is it distorted hope? Perhaps you need to end doing something that will bring fruit to the relationship or finally move away from it once and for all. Look at the character of those who you sound yourself will. Decide to do what you need to in life. Move forward in your necessary endings, so that you can give birth to your new beginnings. Let’s join in on today’s podcast to hear more about Dr. Cloud and the powerful topic of endings. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. Ep 30 Your Relationship with Time, Time Management, Project Management #entrepreneurialtip

Welcome everyone to the 30th episode of Professor P's Podcast. Welcome to this month’s entrepreneurial tip. The topic for this show is TIME, your relationship with time, time management, and project management. It is vital to your success in business that you understand them all. They are part of the foundation of being an EMPOWERED entrepreneur and one who lives an EMPOWERED life. For today’s episode I pull from the book Don’t Let Anything Dull Your Sparkle * How to Break Free from Negativity & Drama; Doreen Virtue; Hay House, INC; 2015 Your Relationship with Time “One source of stress is the way in which you view and manage time. How often have you been upset because you’re running late or behind on a deadline? Time pressure is a major source of stress. Chronic lateness can also lead to relationship arguments. Your brain under stress is focused upon surviving and reacting, and less focused upon planning and creating. With chronic stress, your brain leans – and is rewired – to be focused upon survival and reacting only. It has difficulty amping up the area devoted to devising plans for the future. Constant time urgency takes a toll on your body, brain, and emotions. Here are some time-urgency patters and ways to heal them: Approval seeking: A mind-set of I must get everything done right now, or I will be in trouble or something bad will happen comes from the desire to prove yourself or to appease a real or imaginary authority figure. Usually, this stems from a childhood where you were working overtime to gain parental acceptance. As an adult, you can transfer the desire to win outside approval to a healthy desire to give yourself approval. And that comes from taking positive action steps, such as peacefully working instead of frantically racing against the clock. Forcing yourself: If you find yourself starting a sentence with the words “I have to…” stop and question why you’re doing what you’re doing. Why are you forcing and pushing yourself? That’s a sign that your soul is rejecting the activity, and it isn’t healthy. Either meditate and get to the point where you are happy to engage in the activity, make changes with respect to how you engage in it (switching to a more enjoyable workout routine, for example), or stop doing it altogether. Indecisiveness: The thought I can’t decide whether to do this or do that can make you feel stuck. The existential dilemma of having to make choices concerning how to spend time is the basis of internal struggles and angst. Remember that not making a decision is the same thing as making one…because if you aren’t making a decision, you’re deciding to stay in your present state. Sometimes life calls you to make a choice before you’re ready. Do your best and go for what your soul calls you to do. Not planning ahead: Part of drama addition is procrastinating until an appointment or deadline is upon you. Do you wait until Christmas Eve to shop for gifts, or the night before a report is due to begin it? These are examples of needlessly stressing yourself. Planning ahead is a new habit that can substantially lower your stress levels. One way to plan is to break a big task down into small steps, and then schedule them into your calendar. Stressing to impress: Are you working like crazy to make enough money to buy prestigious items? Who are you trying to impress? This unhealthy and stressful habit stems from a desire to be loved. However, if people like you for what you own, it’s a hallow feeling. You desire and deserve to be loved for who you are…beginning with loving yourself for having a calmer, more peaceful schedule. Being a martyr: Do you feel resentful and irritable because you have to do all of the work? This is stressful and toxic, and a sign that you need to (a) look for ways to simplify your life so that you’re not bemoaning how much you have to do, and or (b) start delegating tasks and asking others to help you. Focusing upon the future: After a trauma, it’s natural to worry whether something painful will recur. However, if you become obsessed with fear about possible future traumas, you’ll lose the enjoyment of the moment. This is a part of post-traumatic dissociations, where you lose present awareness of yourself. A simple and effective method for reconnecting with the present is to do deep breathing. Inhale deeply, and then exhale completely. Notice your heart rate. Be aware of whether you’re comfortable or not. What do you see and hear right now? Focusing upon present feelings and environmental cues help center you in the here and now. This empowers you to feel more confident about your present and your future”. I have given you homework to reflect over the above categories and to track your time. I want you to really understand what you are doing with your time. I then have given you homework to research backwards planning. In project management this is how we plan. We go to the end date and plan from that point backwards. Then we start. Make sure to have a margin of error in place. For example, if something is due on the 31st of March, then you want to have it fully ready in your planning by the 28th of March – side note – That is Professor P’s Birthday!!! 50 and oh so fine like red Italian wine, I am aging gracefully. With long life He will satisfy me! – That was a whole squirrel moment! Let’s get back to it shall we. Then from 3/28 you want to work back again. You will need a draft of what you are working on, however that looks ready by say 3/25. And you continue to work backwards. In project management we add in others to help us. In entrepreneurship you will do the same with what you are working on. It is important to understand that delegation is your superpower. Then you have different tasks overlapping during the timeline you have set. I want you to do your own research on backwards planning and try it for yourself. Learn to block your time. Learn to set your boundaries and honor them. Learn to do only your part. If God, ask you to 80% and you do 100% you were 20% disobedient. Keep that in mind. Let others help you and do their 20% or whatever it is. TRUST, which I know can be hard. But it is important in building a team and building your business. The mismanagement of time can cause you unwanted stress and stress is not good for us. It is a secret killer. Understand that your relationship with time is many times tied to your trauma. If you deal with the root, you can become a master of time. I am a living witness. Let’s jump into today’s podcast to hear more. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below. Ep 29 Old Ceilings Become New Floors #mastery

Welcome everyone to the 29th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am bringing you another dose of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is OLD ceilings turn into NEW floors. #mastery How many of you know that you have been hitting your head against the ceiling? You have been hitting it so much you have a headache. Today’s podcast is going to encourage you to bust through your old ceiling and turn it into a NEW floor. Spring is rapidly making its way to us and you are going to see how beautiful the earth becomes with its new colors and fragrances. Our God makes ALL things NEW, and it is time for you to walk into your NEWNESS.   This is a leap year, and I am encouraging you all to LEAP! You only need a tiny blue ladybug aka mustard seed size faith to move mountains. Having radical faith in the unknown doesn’t mean you don’t get scared of what’s there. Or even of what you’re letting go of to go there. It simply means you TRUST that no matter what, you are fully supported and able. The question of “how” doesn’t have to be answered. Releasing the “how” is the hardest part however and it is very uncomfortable. But that discomfort doesn’t last for long. You are free to feel. Release and RECEIVE! Don’t stop believing my friends. Don’t stop working your FAITH! You keep stepping and God will keep providing placement for your feet or flight so you can soar. It is time for you to take a LEAP into today’s podcast for more. Ep 27 Blessed vs. Luck #truthbetold

Welcome everyone to the 27th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am bringing you another dose of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is BLESSED vs. LUCK. #truthbetold Our words have meaning. Our thoughts are powerful. One of my all-time most downloaded podcasts is the power of words. If you haven’t heard it, go check it out after you listen to this one today. With each word we say we are making a statement. What our beliefs, ideologies, and passions are. The power of the tongue is very influential. This is why I am challenging you to examine the words you speak. What are you standing behind with the words you speak. For this podcast I am breaking down Blessed vs. Luck. Blessed: very welcome, pleasant, or appreciated (Merriam-Webster) Happy; prosperous in worldly affairs; enjoying spiritual happiness and the favor of God (1828 Noah Webster) Lucky: the things that happen to a person because of chance: the accidental way things happen without being planned Your life is not meaningless. It is not an accident. You are not here by some random chance. God is a purposeful God, and you are here on purpose. All the things in your life big or small are divinely orchestrated. Luck is stating you just randomly received something good in your life. That you were in the right place at the right time. But this is not accurate. Every good and perfect gift is from God. Your steps are ordered.  So, thank God for each blessing in your life because God is showing you love throughout your whole day. You just have to acknowledge and realize where the source of your appreciation should be. Luck is not going to give you happiness and it certainly cannot bless you. But God can, will, and does on a daily. There are no coincidences. You are blessed in the city and the country. You are blessed in your comings and your goings. You are blessed to be a blessing. Even the seemingly insignificant details of our life have purpose. God is all knowing, all purposeful. So, as you wake up each day, see God’s purpose in every moment. Delight in God as He delights in you. Use your moments for Him, as He breathes purpose and value into each one. Now say it with me… I am BLESSED and HIGHLY FAVORED! Ep 26 Stay Gritty Baby #entrepreneurialtip

Welcome everyone to the 26th episode of Professor P's Podcast. This year, once a month, I will be bringing you entrepreneurial tips. The topic for this show is GRIT, which is important in the foundation of being an EMPOWERED entrepreneur but also to live the EMPOWERED life. You are going to need paper and pen for this episode and honestly for most to all of my episodes you will always want to keep paper and pen. I will share several stories. All of them should give you encouragement and inspire you. One of the stories I just shared with my students this past week. Deshauna Barber - American model Ms. USA 2016. She suffered from some low self-esteem. A woman found her in Target and told her that she could be the next Ms. USA. She started competing in the state pageants. She tried for six years in a row and was ready to give up “it is failing epically”. Leslie told her to keep trying. Finally in her seventh year she won the title of Ms. USA and life changed dramatically. In the words of Leslie “If not you, then who”. “At times our purpose drops in our laps as if heaven threw it by accident. Do not fear failure. But please be terrified of regret. Giving up is the birth of regret. There will be hundreds of moments of people telling you no. You will hear more no’s than yeses in your lifetime. We will fail and fail a lot. Don’t be afraid of no’s be afraid of a yes that you have prematurely destroyed because you have decided to quit before the clock strikes 12. You have rights to your no and your YES is undeniable. Your yes is far more powerful and purposeful than any no you will ever receive. Wisdom is gained through experiences. Failure is one of the greatest producers of wisdom. Wisdom is attracted to and accessible to all. When wisdom speaks it is true. Wisdom produces durable revenue. To have the talent of wisdom you must listen to it. The art and power of listening. What have you accepted that you can alter if you negotiate from a different perspective? So, if you are ready to be inspired, encouraged, and gain some knowledge that will do you well in entrepreneurship and in life, then you need to jump into this episode and let me know your thoughts. Ep 25 God, the universe, a true understanding #truthbetold

Welcome everyone to the 25th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am bringing you another dose of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is GOD, the universe, A TRUE UNDERSTADNING. #truthbetold This episode is going to explain to you the difference between God and the universe. You are going to need to have paper, a pen, and place to write. Because we as humans need to measure things to understand them, I am going to have you do some measuring so you can understand the size of the universe verse the vastness of God. Replacing God with the universe has become a standard trope in popular culture. Too many are afraid to even say God because they don’t want to offend anyone. But you must know the truth between the two. One is the creator aka God, and one is the creation aka universe. As beings made in the image of God, we humans don’t need to look to the universe for ultimate meaning or try to create it for ourselves. God has already given it to us. From the beginning, we were designed to glorify Him and to enjoy Him forever. We are eternal beings who wear a human suit. That one day we will take off. The universe is His universe, and He rules it with perfect wisdom and absolute power. To replace God with His creation is to give it the honor and worship that belongs solely to Him. I simply cannot do that. And it really was in my heart to bring to you all some knowledge and wisdom regarding this topic. You don’t say God because of pop culture and more so because you are made at God. But what you really are mad at is religion. You are mad at man. I truly believe God’s heart aches for us due to all the evil religion and religious trauma we have endured. I encourage you to get some paper, your pen, and spot to listen to this powerful episode with an open mind and heart. My hope is that you heal from the religious trauma and all that man has done and return to knowing and being one with our loving God. Remember to connect with me on social media. Ep 24 Sucess is not a Secret it is a System! #mastery

Welcome everyone to the 24th episode of Professor P's Podcast. I am bringing you another dose of Elixir, the energic power. The topic for this show is SUCCESS is not a SECRECT it is a SYSTEM.  #mastery You see, my dear ones, there is no secret to success. But there is a system, and each person has their own system that is coded to them, for them. Take a big deep breath with me now. Come on…. BIG DEEP BREATH. Release and sit in this truth: You were born into this lifetime for a purpose. You have a calling on your life and you will fulfill it if you faint not. It is not going to be easy. And as the saying goes, nothing worth having is easy. It will take work and hard work at that. But then there will come a time when you will have a season of ease. And from this place you will awaken even more to the truth that all things work to the good. That indeed you have been chosen. That your harvest has at last come in. We climb to the mountaintop not because that is where we are going. Oh no! We climb so we can see the promised land. Then we go take possession of it. This is the journey you are on. Let us start by defining the word “system.” The dictionary has two definitions for system: “a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or inter-connecting network.” 2.“a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized framework or method.” You are going to be creating your structure, your method of how you do things. You are going to do this by trial and error. Betta to be better is what I say. You are also going to do this by learning all you can. Knowledge is power. You are to be a researcher and always be thinking critically. Open your mind, then open it some more. Remember, the ultra-limits of your life is where you find the truest you yet. Go there and go there often. You will need to be anchored to yourself and know what works for you and what doesn’t. You may not be a morning person. If that’s the case, don’t buy into this notion that “successful people are early birds.” This is not true. The early bird doesn’t always get the worm. I am a night owl, and I can promise you this much: I caught my worm. I might have even caught two or three of them. Then I went to bed. And if I greet the rising sun, dancing in its golden rays of yellow and orange, it’s normally while I’m sitting on the beach. Or in the middle of a Sedona vortex. Or somewhere at the edge of the ultra-limits. It’s an experience that turns into a memory. And it’s a place of rest—or better yet, awakening. Not a place of work. This is indeed part of my system. Rest and awakening are instrumental in the journey of success. So, understand your energy and mange it well. Discovery of self is the key. I understand my energy level and how I work best. I respect myself enough to stop trying to fit into a mold that doesn’t fit me. I am one of a kind, and so are you! This is what is so beautiful about being human. No two of us are the same, not even identical twins. “I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ’Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death.” —Leonardo da Vinci, Renaissance genius The quote above is right on the money. I want you to smile in the face of trouble. The distress will only make you stronger. Your bravery will be rewarded. And I want you to build a set of principles to live by. To build from. They are a part of your system. They will be the reason for your success. Remember to connect with me on social media. My handles are below.
