Everything in moderation is easier said than done. Trying to tame our gluttonous ways can seem impossible. Apparently, virtues are not as easy as sin.   

Welcome to a PrttySweet Side Peace. This is the accompaniment to the livestream from Holy Hell Week: Temperance.

Sometimes our choices make us feel like we are standing in the line of fire. Your decisions are questioned and picked apart. You start to doubt yourself under the constant scrutiny. Do you stand strong or fall apart?  

We are celebrating underdogs everywhere! When the Mexican army came out victorious over France, it was so monumental that it's still celebrated today! But tonight isn't about history. It's about celebrating those surprising victories that changed us somehow. We acknowledge and celebrate all those moments we tend to overlook in our own lives, but acknowledge and celebrate in others. So, it's an underdog party.

Seasonal Affective Dusorder can make the Happy Holidays blue. The winter doldrums are real and can weigh heavy on emotions. After a seemingly endless winter, it’s finally spring. The sun is out, the air is fresh and it’s time to let the skies be blue so we can bask in the sun.

We often get told that dreams do come true and nothing is out of reach. However, everyone has their limits. How impossible does the dream we believe in have to be before it makes us believe that maybe we don't deserve it? Is it better to know your limits and push within reason or to shoot for the stars without a rocket? 

It's that time of year when Easter Bunnies give way to dust bunnies and we clear the cobwebs to start fresh in Spring. Whether it's deep cleaning your house or sorting through emotional baggage. Sometimes we need that discard pile, even if it's painful. Letting go of what no longer serves us is good for the soul.

Sometimes we jump right into the deep end. Other times, we make the lists and think of contingencies. It is way too easy to drown in the what ifs and infinite possibilities. There are times where we think so hard we can't even move lost in the unfortunate truth of analysis paralysis.

It's that time of year when end of year club banquets, graduation parties, and of course prom cause a mad rush to formal wear hoping for a dress or a bow tie to match a dress. Let's talk about how moments from those dances linger.

We went through passion’s fire. Now, we are chilled to the bone. When love turns cold and kindness turns heartless, that chill ruins deep. Is there ice in your veins, or did you feel the chill in theirs? Tell us all about the cold and heartless.

Turn up the heat in passions’ rising. Bring us from winter to warmth in tactile possibilities. Sensual sensations lead the way as we bring fire to the night.    

Floating in an overwhelming sea does it swallow us whole or set us free? For some, water is cleansing. For others, we feel like we're drowning. What ocean do you get lost in?

They say the whole is worth more than the sum of it's parts. But sometimes we are broken into pieces, usable or otherwise. They use our joy ripped out at the roots to patch their own. Gutted like a car for parts, how do we rebuild or is it easier to remain in pieces?

Between spring gardens and seeds of doubt there's a lot of ground to cover. Fed by rain or tears once the seeds are planted, they tend to grow.

On the Eve of April Fool's, we ponder the foolish. Whether it be a fool in love, a trickster, or just a little honest naivety, it's all up for inspiration and conversation.

Through good times, celebrations, trials, and tribulations, sometimes we yearn to tell the person (or people) we just can't. Distance, time, death, abs broken hearts can leave us with emptiness behind even the most joyful moments. They say it gets better with times but still... I wish you were here... even now.

The song says, "can't buy me love". Yet, even affection can seem transactional. Whether it's flowers and candy, jewelry, or a well-timed Slurpee, is it the gift, the intent, or the perception that skews emotion? While it should be the thought that counts and affection should be free, it often seems that the price of the gift can determine the amount of love in gratitude. Is love actually free or is everything, even love, for sale?

It's not what I said, it's what you heard. It’s so easy to get lost in the mix of how well we think we know people, mood, perception, and what is actually being said. Inflection matters as much as words do. In this day of digital communication, it's easy to overlook the intent of a conversation. But even face to face things get lost in translation and words are taken out of context.

We live in an age where being straight forward is a rarity, where people see what they can get and then play innocent when they are called out. Micromanaging interpersonal relationships and weaponizing kindness is becoming the norm. It's an unfortunate truth. Gaslighting is commonplace in the games people play.

We often find ourselves automatically apologizing for the parts of us that may make others uncomfortable. We get torn between expected politeness, undeserved respect, and whatever our truth may be. Though it can be a hard line to walk, we need to accept ourselves and stand tall in our truth with no apologies.

The bittersweet truth that sometimes relationships give us almost everything we want — but the missing piece still hurts. Is it enough? Can it ever be? When you give it all to a person that can't seem to reciprocate in kind, is comfort, companionship, and desire enough or does it just mimic the love that is needed?

Ah, we've all been lost in the tunnel of love. But love isn't the only time the world slips away and we fail to notice the passage of time or the consequences of our hyperfixation. What pulls focus so intensely that we lose sight of anything and everything else. It's hard to come back to the now, when we are lost in tunnel vision. 

It's Storytime! This Valentine's Eve is on Friday the 13th. Let's hear about failed romantic endeavors, horrible dates, and the stupid things we've all gone through in the name of love. What's your romantic horror story?

We had naughty, now it's time for sweet romance. Champagne and roses, chocolate and strawberries, cuddles and kisses can charge an evening where two people slip into each other’s orbit. Soft teasing, slow smiles, and a chemistry that hums just beneath the surface, it’s romantic. A little daring full of that delicious tension that makes every touch feel like a promise.  

Love is in the air, so let's make it good. Tonight we bathe in the pleasures of the flesh. The sights, sounds, smells, and all the sensations being naughty offers. No guilt with all the pleasures.

I’m losing my mind, or at least it feels that way. Are you with me on the platform for the crazy train waiting to be taken to the looney bin. When did the world and the people in it stop making sense? Maybe I am teetering on the brink of insanity, I can be the only one.

Emotions aren't drama; They're feelings. If you've been made to feel like you're too melodramatic, too triggered, too emotional... just too much, tell them GO FIND LESS. Elyse Meyers, who is fabulous btw, often says, 'If you think I'm too much, go find less'. If you feel that in that in your bones, tell us all about it. you are NOT alone.  

Acrophobia (heights), claustrophobia (enclosed spaces), hydrophobia (water) there is a long list of intense and persistent fears or phobias. Are you arrays of spiders, germs, falling? Peruse the interwebs and find out if your greatest fears have a name, and tell us all about it.

We are all capable of a beast under the right circumstances. We can spew vitriol in a heartbeat, with the right trigger. What triggers that inner beast to immerge? Can it be tamed? Can we ever heal the damage it does? If you wake the Beast, do you deserve what you get for poking the bear?

Part 2 of the series, What's IN Your Mind. We shared time with our shadows, now it's time to embrace the light. We all have those little things that make us smile, even when we think we aren't able. Let's embrace those nuances that make us believe dreams come true. Often times, it's easier to sit with our demons, it's comfortable. Let's get out of the shadows and recognize the thoughts that motivate us, elevate us, and make us want to smile just because.

This week is a two-part series called, What's IN Your Mind. First comes the darkness. When we feel like our own thoughts are our enemies: negative self-talk, fears, the voices in the shadows, at times they haunt us all. Whether it's mistakes we've made, all the useless what-ifs, or paralyzing comparisons in unfortunate shoulds', tell us all about those dark and shadowy places that keep you up at night.

Whether it’s a favorite pet, an animal you relate to, respect for wildlife in general, or the animal within, it is all about how they enhance or change our lives.  Celebrating the life love and spirit of our pets. The bonds of friendship in the comfort the gave us. The laughter they ignited. The secrets they kept, and the tears they licked away.

Oftentimes, people become who they perceive others need them to be. It's easy, too easy, to lose ourselves in the needs of others, with no regard for our own needs. Let us work towards finding a truth that let us be who we are while also being there for our loved ones. That balance isn't easy. It disrupts the status quo. Do we stay as expected to appease others, or do we embrace our own nature, even if that means losing people? Can we find an honest balance? 

We have all dealt with pain that we don't always wear on our sleeves. We paint on a smile to not burden others with our reality. It's never an easy feat. Why do we so readily listen to the pain of others and never think it a burden, yet we find it hard to share because we don't want to burden others? How many times do we suffer in silence to not inconvenience those around us or is that just an excuse to hold it in so we don't fall apart? 

Ever want to drop that baggage you’re carrying? I’m over the craziness of the Holiday season, over the hoopla of New Years. It’s another day in the grind. Let’s leave it all behind instead of letting it all bog us down. Let’s just declare: I’m over it!

The end is Nigh and, once again, it's time for parties, celebration, and new beginnings. Are you glad the year is over and looking forward to bigger and better things, Could this be the year you stick to the resolutions, or will next year screw you as much as this one did?

Season’s Greetings can weigh us down with unreasonable expectations of a jovial outlook. Sometimes, we get lost in the ghosts of holidays past and miss traditions that fell out of favor or the people we don’t get to see. Maybe it’s the gray skies and cold, unforgiving air that hurts to breathe that makes us want to burrito blanket binge watch until it’s all over and it’s a whole new year.
