Kev had the joy and privilege of seeing Emilio Santoro perform a few months ago. An impressive live show that goes further than being a tribute artist, he is a true passionate performer with incredible vocals and charisma that got the audience fired up, he also educates along the way and performs set-pieces from Elvis' shows where he showcases his acting talents. He joins us from America today as he is on route once again to New York and Memphis to perform there and at Graceland where he was awarded the Ultimate Tribute Artist Champion by Elvis Presley Enterprises which is the most prestigious achievement. Today we discuss his impressive career and love for the King of Rock & Roll including Baz Luhrmann's new EPiC documentary and the ELVIS movie with Austin Butler. This was a a fun chat which we know you'll enjoy.

Brokeback Cathy returns to the Pod to help us with a spoiler review episode. She is the only one who has seen "Wuthering Heights" so gives us a great insight and sells it to us, we discuss the controversies and all the positives. We deviate a little as usually bringing into focus Barbie as well then return to discussing the surprisingly good film Crime 101 which we all enjoyed and had great talking points throughout. We end with the dark and twisted horror comedy Send Help and the tense horror Primate which we all mainly enjoyed. Its be a fun time at the cinema in recent weeks.

Bella joins us from Austria after we couldnt help but notice her genius clips on social media educating the audience on how film sets run and what crew members do "so you dont have to pay for film school". Her audience has grown exponentially from a few thousand to over 140k at the point of this episodes record. She is studying filmmaking, specifically cinematography and directing in the hope of building a career in the industry. This is a great conversation as you can really hear her passion as we discuss everything from lighting techniques, recent movie releases and throwing herself into education and experimenting within the many roles on a film set.

Nicole is currently challenging herself to watch the top 1000 movies and has not seen many classics yet, due to being 18. So we decide to be annoying and recommend even more to add to her list. We have a laugh talking through Horrors as Halloween has just passed, talking through Christmas memories growing up and into recommended Xmas movies as well as ones to avoid. We did well as we never mention the cliche topic of 'Die Hard' but still discussed alternative Xmas movies as well as some classics. We try to keep on topic, but you know how things get sometimes. Her main role is the Focus Puller which is a highly skilled and critical job, as errors in focus can be expensive to reshoot. Kev worked with Colin on the film The Last Bus starring Timothy Spall and Phyllis Logan, he kept in touch and was gracious enough to accept an invite onto Rage Whale. He's a well known actor anywhere but in Scotland he is part of an TV institution that multiple generations grew up with. We discuss how he got started in acting, theatre, Scottish TV shows and being in the biggest crime drama Taggart. Colin has lots of interesting and funny anecdotes and we have a great conversation over many subjects, we wish we could've spoken to him for much longer. What an honour it was and we hope to have him back on in the near future.

Brittany got in contact with us recently asking to be on the show as she was a fan. This blew our tiny minds! She is talking to us today from South Carolina and we loved this conversation with an experienced actor who has worked with great actors on interesting projects over a varied career. We also talk about her time visiting the new Superman set, auditions experiences and her new movies that are in post production and ready for release soon. She also has a new secret project in pre production about to start filming which she is able to give us a little insight into. The craziest story of all is her family invented Play-Doh which is completely true but totally unbelievable. This was a joyful and insightful chat with a talented and fun new friend of the show from Midwest America.

Mental Health appears to be a constant topic on Rage Whale and we always seem to find a moment to bring it up which we think is positive to normalise so everyone feels heard. The was a fun conversation with another cinephile across the pond with subjects of Horror, Pedro Pascal, Billie Eilish and home gardening (not literal).

But we start discussing the loss of Ozzy Osbourne that happened 10 mins before record (we record a month in advance sometimes). We then discuss Peters recent adventure backpacking in the California mountains and visiting little cinemas and friends along the way. Kevs cousin Jude is a very talented man. At just 17 he has been acting for over a decade, appearing is short films, main features, music videos and many live productions. Now he has also turned his attention to music, being the frontman of an Indie band from Scotland called The Claes who are making waves in the industry. We talk about his music and songwriting process as well as his inspiration where you can clearly hear that he has a huge desire to be creating and constantly learning and improving. We also discuss his acting career so far, auditioning for Trainspotting 2 and his future goals to follow both passions. Jude is wise beyond his years and has put the work in becoming a cinephile and student of the greatest musicians throughout history. We think he is going to go far and we're excited to watch him on his journey.
