Letzte Woche hatte ich einen Hörsturz („idiopathischer Hörverlust“). Ich musste und muss aktuell hoch dosiertes Cortison nehmen. Ich hoffe sehr, dass sich alles wieder normalisiert. Im Moment kann ich noch nicht normal hören, habe starke Kopfschmerzen und sehe auch nicht richtig. Die Nebenwirkungen vom Cortison sind ebenfalls deutlich spürbar… Und als Musikerin wäre ein langfristiger Hörverlust wirklich eine Katastrophe. Ich hoffe so sehr, dass sich alles wieder vollständig erholt. Ich habe jetzt eine ganze Woche nur gelegen und mich ausgeruht – und muss das auch weiterhin tun, damit sich mein Körper hoffentlich erholen kann. So etwas bekommt man oft durch zu viel Stress über einen längeren Zeitraum. Es ist definitiv ein Warnsignal, das ich sehr ernst nehmen muss – sonst wird das nächste Problem vermutlich noch schlimmer. Again, my health is terrible. Last week I had an "idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss". I had and still have to take high doses of cortisone. So I hope everything will get back to normal again. Right now, I still can´t hear normal, I have alot of headache and can´t see right. The side effects from the cortisone also kick in... And as a musician, I long term hearing loss would suck hard... I really so much hope it gets back to normal again. I was just laying around relaxing for a full week now. And I need to continue doing this, so it can hopefully recover. You normally get this from too much stress over a long time. It is a wake-up call and I need to take it very serious, or the next one will be a much worse thing. Please be so kind and keep all your fingers crossed for me... But I just finally have more energy thanks to a new medicine, so I am playing drums as often as I can. 😍🥁 I have 3 combos right now that I am rehearsing with. 2 I play the drums with, and one where I start to learn guitar and sing. So I spend alot of time making music. This is what I could do 24/7 so it feels great right now!! ❤️ I bought a new guitar. 🎉 It was so hard to get it in the lefthanded version. I waited 2 month for it to arrive, but now it´s finally here and I love it!! 😍 Not only how it looks, but also how it sounds. It has active metal pickups, so the sound of it is very heavy and full. Just great! And the bats in the neck... So awesome! It´s a Schecter Damien 6 Platinum. I am in love with this one, and it was definitely not a mistake to buy it! But I wanted to show you something else. I was asked alot of times, if I could upload more videos with me playing the drums. So here you go. 😄 This is nothing really special, but once a month there is an Open Stage where I live and I was there last thursday. Sometimes people rehearse in small groups just for this open stage, often people just go to stage spontaneously. This is what happened thursday. I wasn´t rehearsing with anybody upfront. We just all went to stage and played Come Together by the Beatles in a more Rock version. And it was alot of fun, and for not rehearsing I think it went quite well. 😊 Have fun listening! 🎶 Apart from that one, I practise alot with an newer combo with my girlfriend and my best friend. Where we play acoustic cover and I sing and play guitar. Everyone is still a beginner on their instrument, so it will take a while until I can show you something that is good enough. 😄 But it´s so much fun to learn a new instrument, and also to sing. Ich habe euch ja bereits von meiner Tierschutz-Initiative erzählt SAVE A PAW Collective – Every NFT leaves a Mark of Hope ✨🐶🐱 Und euch auch einen kleinen Ausschnitt der ersten Tier-Meditationsmusik gezeigt, die ich produziert habe. Ich möchte durch verschiedene Dinge Geld sammeln können: NFTs, Tokens und Musik. Deshalb bin ich aktuell dabei, viele verschiedene Musiktracks vorzubereiten, damit ich einen YouTube- und Spotify-Kanal starten kann, sobald ich genug Material fertig habe. Mein aktuelles Ziel sind zunächst 40 verschiedene Tracks. Diese Musik wird speziell für Tiere produziert. Ich nutze diese Art von Musik auch selbst für meinen Hund. Wenn ich sie für ein paar Stunden alleine zu Hause lassen muss, schalte ich Tier-Meditationsmusik ein. Das hilft ihr, sehr ruhig und entspannt zu bleiben. Als sie noch ein Welpe war, ist sie abends zur Schlafenszeit immer durch die ganze Wohnung gerannt – sie konnte einfach nicht zur Ruhe kommen. Dann habe ich jeden Abend dieselbe Musik angemacht, und sie ist innerhalb weniger Minuten eingeschlafen. Ich habe recherchiert, was bei Musik für Tiere wichtig ist und was ihnen beim Entspannen hilft: Wiederholung Keine „überraschenden“ Sounds Keine plötzlichen Lautstärkeänderungen Eine tiefe Frequenzbasis Keine hohen Sounds Sehr langsames Tempo oder gar kein Rhythmus Ein gleichmäßiges White-/Pink-Noise oder etwas Ähnliches, z. B. Regen- oder Windgeräusche Das Hauptziel ist, dass sich die Tiere sicher fühlen. Deshalb ist die Musik eigentlich relativ einfach aufgebaut, weil man nur 3–4 Layer hat, die sich immer wiederholen. Trotzdem muss man sehr vorsichtig sein, keine Sounds einzubauen, die Tiere alarmieren könnten. Sie hören komplett anders als wir Menschen. Hier ist also ein kleiner Ausschnitt des zweiten Tracks, den ich gemacht habe. 🎶 An dieser Stelle möchte ich mich nochmal bei allen bedanken, die diese Posts voten und mir so helfen, auf diese Weise mehr Geld zu spenden! I already told you about my animal charity initiative SAVE A PAW Collective – Every NFT leaves a Mark of Hope ✨🐶🐱 And showed you a snippet of the first animal mediation music I produced. I want to be able to raise money through different things: NFTs, tokens and music. So I am currently in the phase of preparing lots of different music tracks, so I can start a YouTube and Spotify channel, when I have enough prepared. My goal is 40 different tracks for now. This music is produced especially for animals. I also use this kind of music myself for my dog. When I have to leave her alone at home for a few hours, I turn on animal meditation music. It helps her to stay very calm and relaxed. When she was a puppy, she always ran around the whole apartment when it was time to sleep in the evening – she just couldn’t calm down. Then I turned on the same music every night, and it helped her fall asleep within minutes. I researched what is important about music for animals, and what helps them relax: Repetition No “surprising” sounds No sudden volume changes A deep frequency base No high sounds Very slow tempo or no rhythm at all A consistent white/pink noise or something similar, like rain sounds, wind sounds, etc. The main purpose is that they feel safe. So the music is actually very easy to produce, because you only have 3–4 layers that repeat over and over again. But you also have to be very cautious not to include sounds that alert the animals. They hear completely differently than we do. Dieses Jahr ist einfach voller Musik – und ich liebe es! Ich habe 10 Gigs mit meinen Bands dieses Jahr. Außerdem produziere ich viel Musik, hauptsächlich Tier-Meditationsmusik und Handpan Lofi. I am not so active in Hive at the moment. This year is full of music and I love it! I have 10 gigs this year with my bands. And also produce alot of music, mostly animal meditation music and Handpan Lofi. Apart from that I am ordering and curating alot of albums for our label Panda Beats. I finally also allow myself to not work 12 hours every day and instead have more freetime. And it feels so good. I go to the solarium and play alot of World of Warcraft. And the first days of spring have arrived, we finally have sun. So I go out alot too. After all these years of working like a maniac, this finally feels very good. And I need it for my health. Ich habe euch ja bereits von meiner Tierschutz-Initiative erzählt SAVE A PAW Collective – Every NFT leaves a Mark of Hope ✨🐶🐱 Normalerweise spende ich das Geld, das ich auf Hive verdiene, an verschiedene Tierschutzorganisationen. Außerdem habe ich angefangen, NFTs zu erstellen, wobei mich viele Hive-Artists unterstützt haben. Diese NFTs sollen verkauft werden, um noch mehr Geld für Spenden zu sammeln. Aktuell bin ich allerdings noch in der Vorbereitungsphase. Ich möchte, dass dieses Projekt verschiedene Facetten hat, sodass jeder selbst entscheiden kann, wie er oder sie unterstützen möchte – entweder durch Spenden, den Kauf von NFTs oder auch durch Musik hören. Genau daran arbeite ich gerade. Ich produziere Musik, die speziell für Tiere gemacht ist. Diese Art von Musik nutze ich auch selbst für meinen Hund. Wenn ich sie für ein paar Stunden alleine zu Hause lassen muss, schalte ich Tier-Meditationsmusik ein. Das hilft ihr, sehr ruhig und entspannt zu bleiben. Als sie noch ein Welpe war, ist sie abends zur Schlafenszeit immer durch die ganze Wohnung gerannt – sie konnte einfach nicht zur Ruhe kommen. Dann habe ich jeden Abend dieselbe Musik angemacht, und sie ist innerhalb weniger Minuten eingeschlafen. Ich habe recherchiert, was bei Musik für Tiere wichtig ist und was ihnen beim Entspannen hilft: Wiederholung Keine „überraschenden“ Sounds Keine plötzlichen Lautstärkeänderungen Eine tiefe Frequenzbasis Keine hohen Sounds Sehr langsames Tempo oder gar kein Rhythmus Ein gleichmäßiges White-/Pink-Noise oder etwas Ähnliches, z. B. Regen- oder Windgeräusche Das Hauptziel ist, dass sich die Tiere sicher fühlen. Deshalb ist die Musik eigentlich sehr einfach aufgebaut – man hat meist nur 3–4 Layer, die sich immer wiederholen. Gleichzeitig muss man aber extrem darauf achten, keine Sounds einzubauen, die Tiere alarmieren könnten. Sie hören komplett anders als wir Menschen. Ich wollte euch einfach mal einen kleinen Ausschnitt der Musik zeigen, damit ihr ein Gefühl dafür bekommt. 🎶 Aktuell produziere ich viele verschiedene Tracks in unterschiedlichen Längen, damit ich genug Material habe, um einen YouTube- und einen Spotify-Kanal mit dieser Musik zu starten. So kann ich Tieren helfen, wenn sie alleine sind – und hoffentlich auch zusätzlich Geld sammeln, um noch mehr an Tierschutzorganisationen zu spenden. I already told you about my animal charity initiative SAVE A PAW Collective – Every NFT leaves a Mark of Hope ✨🐶🐱 I normally donate money I earn on Hive to different charity organizations. I also started creating NFTs and had many Hive artists helping me. These NFTs will be sold to raise more money. I am still in the phase of preparing everything, though. I want this project to have different facets, so people can choose for themselves how they want to support it – either by donating, buying NFTs, or also by listening to music. That’s what I am working on right now. I am producing music that is especially made for animals. I also use this kind of music myself for my dog. When I have to leave her alone at home for a few hours, I turn on animal meditation music. It helps her to stay very calm and relaxed. When she was a puppy, she always ran around the whole apartment when it was time to sleep in the evening – she just couldn’t calm down. Then I turned on the same music every night, and it helped her fall asleep within minutes. I researched what is important about music for animals, and what helps them relax: Repetition No “surprising” sounds No sudden volume changes A deep frequency base No high sounds Very slow tempo or no rhythm at all A consistent white/pink noise or something similar, like rain sounds, wind sounds, etc. The main purpose is that they feel safe. So the music is actually very easy to produce, because you only have 3–4 layers that repeat over and over again. But you also have to be very cautious not to include sounds that alert the animals. They hear completely differently than we do. I just wanted to show you a snippet of the music so you can get a feeling for it. 🎶 I am currently producing lots of different tracks in different lengths, so I have enough material to start a YouTube and a Spotify channel with this music. This way I can help animals while they are alone, and hopefully also raise some money to donate more to animal charities. I hope you arrived safely, had some beautiful moments already and a great time! 🖤 🎵 A New Year – A New Musical Intention One of my intentions for this year is to create more music again – and I decided to start immediately. To break out of my old patterns, I tried something new: I bought Ableton Live 12 and started completely from scratch. Actually it’s still quite challenging. I don’t fully understand the software yet, I’m much slower than in my usual DAW, and I don’t feel nearly as confident or fluent. But instead of giving up, I chose to keep going and explore and use this opportunity to start with something new and fresh. 🌑 A New Direction: Ambient &amp; Cinematic This time, I wanted to try a completely different genre for me: ambient, cinematic, game-like, slightly dark. My main inspiration came from the game Far Cry 4 and its soundtrack. I really love that atmosphere, so I tried to create something in that direction. 🧩 Sharing Something Unfinished I also made a decision to upload something unfinished. This is part of working on my perfectionism and allowing myself to share work that feels far away from “perfect” yet. What you hear here is the current state after working on it twice: no proper mix yet very few effects too full, too busy, a bit chaotic My usual process is to first create all the elements I want, that´s why it sounds so full and chaotic. And then later I clean things up, create structure and give each sound more space. That step will come next – I’m just not there yet. Still, I wanted to show you this stage. I want to practice publishing things even when they’re not perfect. And this feels like the right way to start the year. So this is a perfect first post of 2026: music in progress, aligned with my intentions, and very honest. Also I am trying to use only instruments and plugins I don´t know yet, and that are very simple to use. I want to come out of my "over-engineering" the music and taking forever to make it. I hope you like the direction so far. I’m curious myself where this will end up – sometimes I really don’t know until it’s finished. Feedback is very welcome. This is a completely new genre for me, and I’m still learning a lot. We’ll see how it continues – but I can already say: this is a lot of fun, and I could absolutely imagine turning this into a full album.
