This weekend I attended a local Pop Culture Convention and was able to chat with AMC's Comic Book Men, Mike & Ming. Mike gave me advice on how to make a podcast better. And we also chatted about his hot sauce and what the Secret Stash is doing for Free Comic Book Day. They were great guys that welcomed everyone they met. Thanks guy for a great weekend.

Well maybe not complete. But, I did attend Indy Pop Con in Indianapolis, Indiana last Saturday. And it was amazing and fun and busy and wonderful all at the same time. I did bring back an unexpected cold. But, it doesn't matter because I met Nicholas Brendon, Rupert Boneham and Ron Glass just to name a few of the celebrities. I had art work done by legends like Larry Hama. I even managed to get a Justice League United, Animal Man, caricature done of myself. I mean it was a good time. Hanging out with me was my niece Ashanti and former co-host Darling Nikki. Also, on this episode, Chris and Elaine, from the Thought Bubbles calls in to share some of their Indy Pop Con experiences!!

I was so pleased when Chris & Elaine (from www.thoughtbubbles.podbean.com) called into the show tonight to talk about comic books, conventions, pop culture, crafting, superhero movies and cosplay. Today I interviewed Trevor Wayne. Trevor is an actor/model/artist. He has been called the face of the "pinup boy & boylesque" movement. He has been seen in television shows Dexter, ER and Charmed. Trevor has been photographed by the greats most notably Clive Barker(hellraiser). He also, creates his own artistic visions that showcase iconic celebrities and personas in various scenery. I read a pretty good article on the Huffington Post about things you would say to your younger self. We are talking about that tonight along with some other stuff..

I had an amazing conversation today, on blog talk radio, with Gay Author and World Traveler Alan Chin. Alan is a writer and literary critic. He has written novels, short stories and screenplays. The published Author shares how he started to write seriously early in 2003 and the importance of having "real" and strong lgbt characters in the stories he creates. The announcement was made a few days ago that isralei model, Gal Gadot, would be cast as Wonder Woman in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel. I chatted about why we couldn't find someone to portray the Amazon Princess a few months ago. I give an update to that episode and my new views. Plus, I play a snippet from that episode as well.
