17. Happy Ayyam-i-Ha! Why it's the most wonderful time of the year
Happy Ayyam-i-Ha!This episode is high energy so get ready! I've been reflecting on how it can be hard to remember and celebrate Baha'i holidays when living in a Christian-dominant society. Ayyam-i-Ha, especially for those of us without kids, often gets forgotten or minimized in this busy time of year. 2 months after the rush of Christmas and New Years, you may be feeling burnt out or unsure of how (or why) to celebrate Ayyam-i-Ha!Today I talk about the importance of building Ayyam-i-Ha traditions and putting effort into celebrating it, ideas for how you can bring the Ayyam-i-Ha vibes this year, and I'll discuss why Baha'u'llah has been so clear in giving us "these days outside of time" to be generous and joyful! Thanks for listening <3 Leave a 5 star review if this inspired you!

15. The Baha'i Faith is Unique: Reflecting on the unique nature of the Baha'i Faith and why seekers may turn away
A few years ago I met a woman for coffee who was interested in the Baha’i faith. I think she ended up going to a book 1 and some events, but didn’t end up remaining in the community or declaring.A few months later, maybe even a year, I saw that she started posting about Jesus and Christianity. he wasn’t religious and I don't think she was raised Christian. But here she was, a devout Christian after being very interested in the Baha'i Faith. It made me wonder why Christianity was so attractive and not the Baha’i Faith? Obviously this was her spiritual journey, but I've seen this happen before. In this podcast I reflect on why the Baha'i Faith is unique from other religions in a way that may make it harder for seekers to easily explore and join the community.

12. The Perfect Baha'i: Striving and struggling
I have hestitated to make this episode for a little bit because it can be hard to talk to about religion when it comes to laws, judgements, and upholding principles. But I've been having conversations with friends and other Baha'i youth (or those no longer in the Faith) and their difficulty with perfectionist or purity culture in the Faith.I feel strongly that, while Baha'u'llah has given us laws to help us strive for a perfect and spritual humanity, the way we talk about laws with our children/teens, and with ourselves in our mind is can significantly influence the acceptance and grace we give ourselves or feel from others in walking this spiritual path. I hope this podcast resonates with you, friend. And remember that we're all growing through it together<3find me on instagram at @isabel.peirce or youtube @ isabel grace

Self-Doubt Summer to Secure School Year: The science of mindfulness
Despite having what I would call "the best summer ever" filled with travel and friends, I personally experienced a significant amount of self-doubt and impostor syndrome, leaving me feeling deeply uncertain about my abilities and incompetent. This period, amplified by my emerging adulthood and the pressures I felt as a young woman—including prospective anxiety about the future and a constant feeling of needing to be perfect—led to much rumination and a cycle of self-criticism. As a Baháʼí, I even struggled with why I felt this way despite my spiritual beliefs. Let's talk about mindfulness and how it's proving to be the answer to the rising tides of anxiety throughout emerging adulthood.

9. Spirital Confirmations and Connections: How you can learn to call on the angels to guide your life
Episode Summary: For the past couple of years, I've been diving deep into a spiritual topic that isn't discussed enough: angels, the next world, and departed souls. I'm don't mean in a woo-woo or superstious way, but rather in tapping into what 'Abdu'l-Bahá describes as "the divine confirmation and heavenly powers". In this episode, I'm sharing how I've personally been feeling the power of the next world and the angels in my daily life, allowing me to more deeply see confirmations and draw on my intuition, fostering a greater trust in God and the universe. Join me as I explore how this profound connection can bring guidance and a sense of protection, even in the most everyday situations, and how you can start to lean into this powerful spiritual aid yourself.

7. Spiritual Perfectionism: Overcoming self-doubt and feelings of unworthiness
In this episode of Really Growing Through It, I talk about navigating through periods of sadness and feeling out of control. I realized I might be experiencing spiritual perfectionism, feeling like I'm never good enough in my spiritual habits rather than just striving for excellence. I also explore how a lack of spirituality can contribute to anxiety and depression, as highlighted by Lisa Miller's research. This connects to the idea of our twofold purpose: the importance of nurturing our inner spiritual being alongside our outward doing or service. Ultimately, I found insight in remembering that finding God's love can be as simple as knowing it is already within me, not just through constant doing
