The 98th Academy Awards Episode
WHAT a year for movies!!!! The 98th Academy Awards heads to our television screens this Sunday (3/15). The RR girls do what they do every year in anticipation of the biggest night in Hollywood...predict who the winners will be in each category as well as who they want to win. Listen to find out who the gals want to win Best Animated Short! Best Actor! Best Cinematography! and of course...Best Picture! With an Oscar year with such consistent heavy hitters, there is a LOT of discussion on who is the best of the best, as well as personal favs (Sirât, Sinners) and the least favs (For Gianna....Frankenstein). The episode is rounded out discussing non-Oscar movies watched: The Testament of Anne Lee (2025), The Housemaid (2025), Send Help (2026), and Wuthering Heights (2026). G finally likes a musical for the first time in her life...you'll have to listen to find out what it is!!!!!

2025 Movie Recap
Well folks, that's a wrap on 2025! The girlies of RR look back on the movies of yesteryear and discuss the new releases they watched, ending the episode with their top 5 movies (thus far). Top movies of the year (2025) discussed include: Weapons, One Battle After Another, Twinless, Bugonia, Frankenstein, Wicked: For Good, Sentimental Value, Hamnet etc. Which movie made Amy sob the hardest? How many independent horror films did Gianna watch? With awards season in full swing, stay tuned for our annual Oscar episode with preferences and predictions of the upcoming biggest night in Hollywood!

Summer Camp
“Someone once said war is hell, well they’ve never been to summer camp”In honor of summer winding down, Reductive Reviews is visiting the best Summer Camp / Summer "Camp" movies of all time. Amy and G touch on cult classics like But I'm A Cheerleader (1999), Wet Hot American Summer (2001), and Friday the 13th (1980), as well as favorites Moonrise Kingdom (2012), Heavyweights (1995), and Friday the 13th (2009). So grab your bathing suit and bow and arrow, we're heading to camp baby! This summer the movie theaters have been BOOKED and BUSY. Top summer blockbusters are dissected and swooned over in this episode including Eddington (2025), Sorry, Baby (2025), Together (2025), Naked Gun (2025), I Love You Forever (2024), and Oh, Hi! (2025).

10 Month Roundup!
Reductive Reviews is back and better than ever discussing the last 10 months of movies and content! Amy and G explore their favorite movies of the last year(ish): Wicked, I'm Still Here, Nosferatu, The Brutalist, Smile 2, Strange Darling, Sinners, and The Ugly Stepsister. Honorable mentions of the year are discussed, as well as taking a quick look at the 2025 Oscar films. The girls have FINALLY watched and do a deep dive into Melancholia, and gag over the movie of the summer…Final Destination: Bloodlines. The episode is wrapped up with the rest of the content (tv, books, live theater, etc.) explored and loved over the last 10 months. BOY does it feel good to be back!!!!!!

Spring/Summer Recap
After a few-month hiatus, Reductive Reviews is back with a vengeance!!! Discussing all of the movies watched since the last episode in April, a plethora of content is analyzed and debated in this episode. From this summers hit releases like Challengers (2024) and Twisters (2024), to up-and-coming films In The Summers (2024) and Handling the Undead (2024), this episode touches on dozens of movies, most of which you are likely to have seen! Other highlight movies include Passages (2023), Hit Man (2023), Smile (2022), and Singin' in the Rain (1952).

For Reductive Review's 10th (!) episode, Amy and G take a dive into some of the most popular cannibal films: Raw (2016), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Bones and All (2022), and everyone's personal favorite...Fresh (2022). From 'meat cutes' to veterinary school, this episode shows the range of the man-eater genre. Weekly watches include a slew of films including Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024), Monkey Man (2024), and the divisive movie everyone is debating...Civil War (2024).

The Glitz! The Glamour! The Wickedness of old school Hollywood! In this episode of Reductive Reviews, Amy and G discuss two of Damien Chazelle's odes to Hollywood...La La Land (2016) and Babylon (2022). Somehow Chazelle does the impossible and makes pictures depicting moviemaking...palatable?? How refreshing! The gals also touch on the Oscar results, which were (mostly) correctly predicted in Episode 8. Weekly watches include Teeth (2007), Late Night With The Devil (2023), Dune (2021)/Dune 2 (2024), and the Lindsay Lohan instant classic Irish Wish (2024). It's everyone's favorite time of year...where cinephiles and above-the-line workers alike sit on their couches and hold their breath as the years most critically acclaimed movies come to a head. Dozens of films watched year-long all lead to this single night, with the question on everyone's mind: Who will take home Best Picture? In anticipation of the big night on Sunday (3/10), Amy and G go through each Oscar category to discuss which movie they "predict" is going to win, versus who they "prefer" to win. Who will take home Best Director? Animated Short? What are the thoughts on Best Cinematography?? Amy and G discuss the duos more popular movies like Good Time (2017) and Uncut Gems (2019), as well as their classics Daddy Longlegs (2009) and Heaven Knows What (2014). The watches of the week include the horror movie Night Swim (2024) (almost too bad for enjoyment), new Mean Girls (2024) movie musical, +more!
