    MST3K Turkey Day '93 Spots & Bumpers

In 1993, Mystery Science Theater 3000's annual Turkey Day Marathon bumpers were filmed at the Edina, MN home of fan Debbie Tobin, a MSTie who at that time posted regularly on the then Prodigy MST3K bulletin board, and who had done a bit of clerical work at Best Brains Inc. As the story goes, Comedy Central had caterers prepare a beautiful turkey dinner where, unfortunately, the crew spent so much time filming the spread that it spoiled under the hot lights and very little of it could be eaten by the party-goers. These spots and bumpers are culled together from my personal VHS collection of Debbie's party, and also featuring spots highlighting the "Pick The Wisecrack" winner Susan Schneider of Jackson, NJ.

    CBS Christmas Special Commercials 1985

In 1985 my father recorded 6 Christmas specials that aired on CBS 2 in New York. At the time he had no idea you could press pause on a VCR during the commercial breaks so the full broadcasts were recorded. This is something I'm grateful for all these years later. Every Christmas season I watch these old recordings and it fuels my childhood nostalgia. I compiled the commercials for the pleasure of my fellow nostalgia buffs. As seen from most of the bumpers the Christmas specials aired were: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Frosty the Snowman 'Twas the Night Before Christmas A Charlie Brown Christmas How The Grinch Stole Christmas The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus

Copy of The Abbott and Costello Show-Stinky, Pt.2

A two part compilation of Joe Besser's appearances as as Oswald "Stinky" Davis. A bratty, loudmouthed "child" dressed in an oversized Little Lord Fauntleroy outfit. Stinky appeared only in the first season of the show as Lou Costello's friendly nemesis. Where as Lou was always innocently childlike at times, Stinky was supposed to be an actual bratty child despite being played by a 40 year old actor (a practice not seen on US television since Johnathan Winters played "Mork and Mindy"'s Orkan son Mearth, and still seen in Spanish comedy shows). The two would sometimes start friendly or immediately at odds and end up slapping and pinching each other with Lou usually looking worse for the wear.

The Abbott and Costello Show-Mr Bacciagalupe, Pt.2

A two part compilation of Joe Kirk's appearances as Mr. Bacciagalupe (BAH-chə-gah-LOOP), the highly excitable Italian neighbor of Bud and Lou from the first season of their show. Kirk was Lou Costello's real life brother-in-law and first created the character for their radio show and appeared in many of the duo's films. Later he brought Mr. Bacciagalupe to the two seasons of their TV show where he held a variety of jobs as a barber, grocer, fruit vendor, ice cream vendor, peanut vendor, bakery owner, and music store salesman as the plots required. He would either get one over on Bud and Lou, or wind up manically frustrated by Lou.
