SEMPER VOLT

Semper Volt is the brainchild of Joao Tenorio, a musician and filmmaker based in São Paulo, formerly know as DJ Telefunken. 
After releasing two EPs and two singles, the album “Cristal” followed on 2020 to favorable reviews on local blogs and print press. A series of live performances featuring a 5-piece band were transmitted online in early 2021 and had feats by Ava Rocha, Negro Leo, São Yantó and drummer Carlos Bala, Tenório’s father.
While the band formation is the main live act, Semper Volt also performs as a DJ and has recorded mixed sets for Radio REA (Argentina), Crack Magazine (UK), DeepBeep (Brazil) among others. 
The latest release is an EP of remixes entitled “Prisma” which includes remixes of Semper Volt’s tracks by great Brazilian electronic music DJs and Producers like L-Side, Ananda, Renato Cohen, Badsista and Forró Red Light.
