Rosita’s papi is coming home from the hospital, and her family celebrates by singing together and eating Mami’s homemade cake.

When Rosita’s tummy feels funny because her papi is still in the hospital, Mami helps her notice that she’s feeling worried, and they get busy writing love notes for Papi’s return.

Rosita is frustrated because she can’t join her friends at the movies. Mami reminds Rosita that on cloudy-feeling days, we can talk about our feelings.

Words Are Here, There, and Everywhere is a bilingual multimedia initiative that provides a variety of resources to help develop young children's vocabulary, building on their natural curiosity around science, the arts, and math.

Sesame Street Beginnings: Talk, Read, Write! is part of Every Day is a Reading and Writing Day, a bilingual (English and Spanish), multimedia initiative produced in partnership with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), that provides parents, caregivers, and facilitators with tools to support young children's early literacy development. This video is designed to help young children along the exciting path from listening and speaking – to reading and writing! It includes tips, information, and activities for making language and literacy a fun part of everyday life for children and families. Children and grownups can also enjoy watching the lovable Sesame Street Muppets as they reinforce important literacy messages through song and dance. Talk, Read, Write! was originally developed by Sesame Workshop and funded by The Prudential Foundation, and has been has been reviewed and endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
