SKAN: Originally from Bournemouth, England, Skan: aka James Davies has been writing music for well over 20 years. Whilst his tracks span many genres, there is a dancey vibe to most of them, with emphasis on basslines and lush top ends with an over-riding groove. His influences are wide, encompassing all genres of Dance Music, from his roots in drum and bass, through to breaks, dubstep and many sub-genres of house, jazz, funk, downtempo, electronica and classical. Besides producing tracks, Skan has been DJing for almost as long and his record box reflects the way his musical taste has evolved over time, from D&B to dubstep and currently breaks, beats and electronica.
