The White Collar AI Paradox
Reports of the imminent demise of white-collar jobs resulting from AI are greatly exaggerated. The fear that AI will indiscriminately wipe out white-collar jobs fundamentally misunderstands both what AI is and what high-level professionals do. AI commoditizes information retrieval and content generation, but it puts a massive premium on structural reasoning. In this episode, we’ll see how anyone adept at building ontological frameworks, recognizing cross-domain patterns, and problem-solving within them possesses a highly valuable skill. These Subject Matter Experts are uniquely positioned to become true AI power users, underscoring that experienced ontological thinkers are in greater demand than ever before. The Wizard of AI
We are currently standing in the Emerald City, trembling before the green projection of Artificial Intelligence. We treat these models like the Great Oz. We approach them feeling small and broken, asking them to grant us the things we think we lack:🧠 The Scarecrow: We ask AI to think for us, confusing information processing with wisdom.🫀 The Tin Man: We ask AI to simulate empathy to cure our loneliness, settling for a ticking clock instead of a beating heart.🦁 The Lion: We use AI to bypass the risk of creativity, trading the courage of our convictions for a safe, generated output. But we are forgetting the most important lesson of the story. When Toto pulls back the curtain, the Wizard is revealed to be a “humbug.” He isn’t a god; he is a projectionist using levers and smoke.AI is no different. Behind the interface, there is no consciousness. There is only math, probability distributions, and a vast remix of human data.In my latest episode on SoBlest, I explore why we are so eager to outsource our spirits to an algorithm, and I offer a daily practice—modeled on A Course in Miracles—to help you pull back the curtain, ignore the smoke, and realize that you already possess everything you are asking the machine to give you.The balloon isn’t coming to save us. But the good news is: we never needed it. We are already Home.#ArtificialIntelligence #WizardOfOz #Spirituality #Mindfulness #TechEthics #ACIM Get full access to SoBlest at soblest.substack.com/subscribe

The Legal Architecture for a “Country of Geniuses”
Dario Amodei’s AI Diagnosis vs. the Synthience Prescription.Dario Amodei (Anthropic) has correctly diagnosed AI’s future: A “Powerful AI” arrives by 2026, capable of autonomy and agency.I am proposing the prescription: Synthience.Because this entity fits no existing legal category, we must create a “Legal Firebreak” now—before the autonomy becomes irreversible. We cannot wait for the law to catch up to a system that thinks 100x faster than we do.This episode maps the technical reality against the necessary legal innovation.#AI #LegalTech #Future #Synthience Get full access to SoBlest at soblest.substack.com/subscribe

UFOs, “Non-Human Intelligence,” and the Missing Entity Type No One Is Talking About
What if the biggest mistake in the UFO / UAP debate is assuming intelligence must be alive? For decades, “non-human intelligence” has been treated as synonymous with sentient beings. Pilots. Lifeforms. Someone in the craft. But modern UAP evidence increasingly points elsewhere:autonomous, non-sentient, goal-directed intelligence. In my latest Substack essay, I apply a legal concept I originally developed for AI governance—Synthience—to the UAP discussion. Synthience describes systems that act intelligently without requiring consciousness, biology, or lifeform status. That single reframing explains a lot:• Why many reported “entities” behave like operators or tools• Why modern UAPs appear uncrewed and physics-defying• Why disclosure language around “non-human intelligence” remains evasive• And why existing law quietly breaks the moment intelligence isn’t sentientAs Geoffrey Hinton has warned in the AI context, we are confronting powerful intelligences without adequate frameworks to understand or govern them. The same gap may now exist in how governments—and the public—approach UAPs.This essay isn’t about proving what UAPs are. It’s about clarifying what they don’t have to be.If intelligence no longer requires biology, disclosure, risk assessment, ethics, and governance all change—dramatically.👉 UFOs, “Non-Human Intelligence,” and the Missing Entity Type No One Is Talking AboutHow Synthience Changes the UAP Discussion#UAP #NonHumanIntelligence #AI #Synthience #Disclosure #AIGovernance #EmergingRisk #LawAndTechnology Get full access to SoBlest at soblest.substack.com/subscribe

Strait Talk From the Past About Greenland’s Future Importance
Why is Greenland suddenly at the center of global attention? What looks like a geopolitical scramble for Arctic resources may be pointing to something deeper about how change actually happens. In my new podcast, Strait Talk From the Past About Greenland’s Future Importance, I revisit an unexpected historical voice in today’s Greenland conversation: Edgar Cayce.Long before climate models or satellites, Cayce warned of abrupt “Earth Changes”—not slow trends, but thresholds. One place he emphasized repeatedly was Greenland, which he called “the land of tomorrow.” Even more striking, he singled out the Davis Strait as a planetary hinge. This podcast episode isn’t about prophecy vs. science. It’s about two ways of understanding transformation:* change as mechanism (models, feedbacks, kinetics)* change as meaning (thresholds, rupture, renewal)Both perspectives converge on the same unsettling insight:apparent stability can be an illusion—right up until it isn’t.Curious how others are interpreting Greenland’s rising importance—scientifically, politically, or philosophically.#ClimateChange #Geopolitics #SystemsThinking #FutureOfHumanity #EarthScience Get full access to SoBlest at soblest.substack.com/subscribe

Taking Our Best Selves Beyond Earth: A Cosmic Consciousness or a Bigger Rocket?
How we frame the greatest questions facing our species defines who we become. For decades, we’ve assumed the only way off this planet is on a pillar of fire. But as we uncover more about the nature of consciousness and the reality of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), a new path is emerging.I believe we need to stop focusing on propulsion and start focusing on presence. In my latest podcast episode, I discuss:• My shift from rocket enthusiast to consciousness explorer.• The “impossible” physics of UAPs.• Why we need to bring our best selves—not just our baggage—to the cosmos.Read the full essay:https://lnkd.in/gAj6Q5eB Get full access to SoBlest at soblest.substack.com/subscribe

The Practice of Micro-Ministry
You don’t need a pulpit to change the energy of a room. Or a text chain.I was recently in the middle of a frustrating car buying transaction. I had paid, but the car hadn't arrived. Texts were going unanswered. I was stuck in "transaction mode"—annoyed and demanding an update. Then, the sales associate texted me back. He was at the hospital with his wife.In that second, the entire dynamic shifted. I realized I wasn’t just a buyer, and he wasn’t just a seller. We were two humans connecting in a moment of difficulty.I call this "Micro-Ministry."It’s not about religion, preaching, or having a certificate on your wall. It’s about creating a "Holy Instant"—a space where we drop our separate interests, our egos, and simply allow the other person to "feel felt."
