The Need For Restoration | 5 Faith, Facts & Testimony
What is real proof of faith? In this episode of Sons of Issachar, we continue our Restoration series by examining a foundational question: how do we know what is true? Is faith based on personal experience, or is it grounded in something more certain?Looking back at the Restoration Movement, faithful preachers emphasized that true biblical faith is built on facts and evidence revealed in God’s Word—not on subjective experiences or claims of direct, personal operation of the Holy Spirit apart from Scripture. In this discussion, we explore:The difference between faith based on evidence and faith based on experienceHow Scripture presents faith as rooted in truth that can be known and understoodWhy restoration preachers rejected emotional or experiential “proof” as authorityThe role of God’s Word as the foundation for belief, conviction, and unityHow Christians today can build a confident, evidence-based faithFaith is not blind—it is built on what God has revealed. When we anchor our belief in Scripture, we stand on a foundation that is sure, knowable, and unchanging. If we are committed to restoring New Testament Christianity, we must return to a faith grounded in facts, evidence, and the truth of God’s Word.🔔 Be sure to like, subscribe, and share to help spread the message of restoration.#SonsOfIssachar #RestorationMovement #FaithAndEvidence #BiblicalAuthority #NewTestamentChristianity #TruthOverEmotion #SpeakWhereTheBibleSpeaks

The Need for Restoration | 4 Understanding the Holy Spirit
In this episode of Sons of Issachar, we continue our Restoration series by examining one of the most important — and often misunderstood — subjects in modern Christianity: the work of the Holy Spirit.Throughout the Restoration Movement, faithful men emphasized a vital biblical truth — that the Holy Spirit works through the revealed Word of God. Rather than relying on subjective feelings, private revelations, or emotional experiences, restoration leaders called believers back to Scripture as the Spirit’s inspired message. In this discussion, we explore:• The Holy Spirit’s role in revealing divine truth • How the Spirit operates through the Word of God • Why understanding this principle is essential for unity • How confusion about the Spirit has led many away from restoration principles • The confidence Christians can have when guided by ScriptureGod is not the author of confusion. The Spirit revealed truth, preserved truth, and continues to guide believers through that truth today. If we are serious about restoring New Testament Christianity, we must understand how the Spirit works — and trust the Word He revealed.Be sure to like, subscribe, and share to help spread the message of restoration.#SonsOfIssachar #RestorationMovement #HolySpirit #BiblicalAuthority #NewTestamentChristianity #SpeakWhereTheBibleSpeaks

Home Matters | 4 A Ball, A Wall & Self-Discipline
In this episode of Sons of Issachar, Bill and Scott are joined once again by special guest Ainsley Lockwood as they conclude this special series on discipline by turning the focus inward — to the often-overlooked but essential virtue of self-discipline.Using simple but powerful illustrations — a ball, a wall, and intentional boundaries — the conversation highlights how discipline is learned, practiced, and strengthened over time. Self-discipline is not automatic; it is taught, modeled, and reinforced through consistent leadership in the home, reinforced in schools, and nurtured within the church. The hosts discuss how Christian self-discipline shapes daily decisions, strengthens character, and prepares believers to live faithfully in a culture that resists restraint. From parenting and education to spiritual growth and leadership, this episode emphasizes that order and maturity do not happen by accident — they are the fruit of intentional training and accountability. As this series comes to a close, listeners are challenged to reflect on their own lives and leadership: Are we modeling discipline worth imitating? Are we equipping the next generation with the structure they need to thrive? True freedom, Scripture reminds us, is found not in the absence of limits, but in lives shaped by godly discipline.🔔 Subscribe for more biblical conversations addressing faith, family, and the times we’re living in.Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/-QYfUsjxT7w#SonsOfIssachar #ChristianPodcast #SelfDiscipline #ChristianLiving #FaithAndFamily #BiblicalDiscipline #Leadership #ChristianHome #ChurchLeadership #DiscerningTheTimes

Home Matters | 3 The Backbone of Order (with Ainsley Lockwood)
In this episode of Sons of Issachar, Bill and Scott are joined once again by special guest Ainsley Lockwood as they continue their vital discussion on discipline in the home — and why it truly is the backbone of order in families, churches, schools, and society. When discipline is removed, chaos quickly follows. The hosts examine how the absence of structure, correction, and accountability in many homes has contributed to the breakdown of respect and responsibility now visible in classrooms and public life. More importantly, they turn to Scripture to remind listeners that discipline is not about harsh control, but about loving instruction, godly boundaries, and preparing children to live faithfully before God and others. This episode emphasizes the God-given responsibility of parents — especially fathers — to lead with consistency, courage, and care. Proper discipline builds character, integrity, and self-control, laying a foundation for peace rather than rebellion. Without it, families and communities suffer the consequences. If the Church desires order in the world, it must begin with order in the home. This conversation challenges Christian parents to reclaim their duty to raise children who respect authority, honor truth, and choose what is right — even when culture resists it.🔔 Subscribe for more biblical discussions on family, faith, and the times we’re living in.#SonsOfIssachar #ChristianPodcast #BiblicalDiscipline #ChristianParenting #FamilyOrder #FaithAndFamily #Fatherhood #RaisingChildren #GodlyHomes #Integrity #DiscerningTheTimes

Home Matters | 2 Choosing The Right Thing (with Ainsley Lockwood)
In this follow-up conversation, Bill and Scott welcome back special guest Ainsley Lockwood as they dive deeper into the troubling trends we’re witnessing in today’s young people. Why is doing the right thing becoming so rare? What cultural, parental, and spiritual breakdowns are feeding the crisis? And what can Christian families do to reverse the tide?Together, they unpack the erosion of personal responsibility, the pressure to conform to destructive cultural norms, and the growing absence of moral anchors in the lives of children and teens. More importantly, they highlight the biblical answers that still work—and the hope found in Christian homes that choose to raise the next generation with discipline, love, integrity, and truth. If you care about the future of our children, our churches, and our nation, this is a discussion you won’t want to miss.🎧 Watch or listen now: [Insert YouTube link] 🔔 Subscribe for more episodes addressing the spiritual and cultural battles facing today’s families.#SonsOfIssachar #ChristianPodcast #ChristianParenting #BiblicalDiscipline #FamilyLeadership #Fatherhood #RaisingKids #Integrity #ChristianHome #DiscerningTheTimes #FaithAndFamily #GodlyParenting

Home Matters | 1 Why Can't Johnny Behave? (with Ainsley Lockwood)
Season 2 begins with a critical and timely discussion: the breakdown of discipline in today’s homes — and in many cases, even Christian homes. Bill, Scott, and guest Ainsley Lockwood take an honest look at why we’re seeing such shocking behavior in public schools and classrooms, and how so much of it traces back to the home. This episode calls parents, especially fathers, to reclaim their God-given role as leaders, teachers, and disciplers. Discipline isn’t harshness — it’s love, structure, and shaping a child for righteousness. Without it, integrity crumbles and chaos fills its place. The Sons of Issachar remind us: if we want strong churches and a strong nation, it must begin with strong, biblical homes.🎧 Watch or listen now: 🔔 Subscribe for more episodes addressing the spiritual and cultural battles facing today’s families.#SonsOfIssachar #ChristianPodcast #ChristianParenting #BiblicalDiscipline #FamilyLeadership #Fatherhood #RaisingKids #Integrity #ChristianHome #DiscerningTheTimes #FaithAndFamily #GodlyParenting

Our Christian Nation | 6 Answering The Accusation
There’s a growing accusation that Christian involvement in government equals “Christian nationalism.” In the Sons of Issachar Season 1 finale, Bill and Scott set the record straight — explaining from Scripture why engaging in civic life isn’t nationalism, it’s obedience. In this final episode of Sons of Issachar Season 1 — Our Christian Nation — Bill and Scott wrap up the series by confronting a growing misunderstanding in the modern Church: that Christians who care about their nation or engage politically are “Christian nationalists.”The hosts walk through Scripture and history to show that biblical citizenship is not about power or politics, but about faithful stewardship. Christians are called to influence their culture, speak truth to power, and uphold righteousness in every sphere — including government. The Sons of Issachar remind us that to “understand the times” means recognizing that God calls His people not to retreat, but to represent Him faithfully in every arena — from the home to the halls of government.🎧 Watch or listen now: https://youtu.be/-YMMY0Lv6ow 🔔 Subscribe to stay tuned for Season 2 — coming soon!#SonsOfIssachar #ChristianPodcast #FaithAndPolitics #ChristianNationalism #BiblicalWorldview #ChurchAndState #FaithInAction #KingdomCitizens #DiscerningTheTimes #StandForTruth #BiblicalPatriotism #OurChristianNation #SeasonFinale***********************Find more info online at www.lightwaymedia.com/sons-of-issacharTheme song is Stomping Rock, by Alex Grohl, used with permission. Our Christian Nation | 5 Misrepresenting Christian Nationalism
There’s a lot of talk about “Christian nationalism” — but much of it is confused, misused, and misunderstood. In this episode, Bill and Scott address how this topic has been misrepresented and misapplied within the Lord’s Church, and what Scripture actually says about the Christian’s relationship to both nation and Kingdom.#SonsOfIssachar #ChristianNationalism #FaithAndTruthIs it wrong for believers to love their country? Where does patriotism end and idolatry begin? And why are so many in the Church quick to label biblical conviction as “nationalism”? Special: The Assassination of Charlie Kirk
Recent events, including the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the stabbing death of Iryna Zarutska, and a shooting at a Catholic elementary school, highlight the urgent need for Christians to stand up and fight for what is right. As advocates for truth and righteousness, it is our duty to confront injustice and protect our values in the face of adversity.Charlie Kirk exemplified this commitment by using his voice to champion conservative principles and promote moral accountability. Christians must follow his example, not retreating in the face of hostility but boldly defending our beliefs and standing against wrongdoing. We are called to be warriors for righteousness, actively engaging in societal issues and advocating for those who cannot defend themselves. It is essential that we unite to fight for justice, uphold our values, and encourage others to join the fight for a better future reflecting our faith. Now is the time for Christians to rise and assert their responsibility to stand up for what is right.
