AI & the fitness industry
This has been a topic on my brain for a hot second. AI has really taken over in a lot of ways. The smarter it gets the more it will affect you whether you know it or not and whether you like it or not! The fitness industry is no different. We as trainers and coaches are affected to. For some there is a fear in the fact that it is around and in my opinion it's not going anywhere either! I dive into 4 different areas that AI affects. The trainer themselves, the consumer, my opinion, and the ickiness of AI images and social media! ENJOY!!

Episode9: Friendships - Season & FOMO
As we get older our friendships change. In High School they are a little catty, bitchy and full of drama. When we are in college they are the same, but with a more sophisticated tone. As young moms, the extras seem to fade and we roll into this sisterhood of women who really need each other. Then, as our children grow up, friends move away or we move away. The distance with busy schedules and jobs, responsibilities and lack of sleep make for the perfect storm to leave any woman feeling left out, unseen, and maybe even a little forgotten. Some friendships we learn over time are just for a season and some are for life. And when our "lifers" get busy we know that when we do finally get to see each other we just get to pick up right where we left off! This episode I dive into my personal story lately of old friendships that fizzled out and new ones blossoming along side my lifers that make for one heck of a story!

Episode8: "You know them?" Surrounding yourself with people who think differently than you.
OOOooo Babe, this topic is a HOT one! I truly feel like it is the one subject that will knock down any friendship or relationship within seconds. In this episode I dive into why I think keeping your circle colorful, full of different opinions, backgrounds and political views is the smart healthy thing to do. I am always going to share my opinions and speak Sarahnese boldly, but I also will bite my tongue and sit back in silence to learn, to hear others. Not out of stupidity or lack of intellect but to truly understand them, not hear them waiting to pounce with hateful words to win an argument at all cost. I share in this episode that I struggle with chatting it up with someone who thinks differently than I do, not that they have different view points, but 99% of the time it's because I find they just are not open minded enough to listen to me and understand where I am coming from. The conversation seems loaded to convince me to agree or they want me to give them validation for their feelings. I discuss why I apply distance with these friends & family. It's never to cut them out completely, but to set boundaries of fair play and to keep relationships undamaged and whole.

Tackling NO MOTIVATION
This months episode we dive back into fitness and health. The topic or mindset that you don't have any motivation tops the list of reasons why we let our emotions boss us around. In this podcast I give you some insight on how I challenge my clients to go away from their feelings and emotions and get to the bottom of what it looks like to have integrity with oneself and to decide if the situation calls for GRACE or a PASS. **I always have to state I am no professional when it comes to anything outside my wheel house of health and fitness, but I do speak from almost 2 decades of helping women navigate life through the lens of health and fitness, along with my own life experiences!

UNpopular opinion on what makes a great marriage
This episode I dive into relationships... specifically mine. Being married for 26years and together for 28, gives me a lot of insight. We got married young, had a family young, and rolled through all of the good times and the bad. With those moments of greatness and moments of ick I have a long list of things that make us work, but this one thing that we discuss today tops the list!--Let's be honest there are no perfect marriages, so don't take this episode as a one size fits all fix for your marriage, but it is something to consider if you are in a relationship that is long term or is giving long term marriage vibes!

WTF is "Sarahnese"?
I have always felt out of place until I started using what I call "Sarahnese". It's a language full of hand gestures, sounds, and blank stares. This is how I communicate with the world in my own unique way. This whole podcast is designed to talk about topics that have been burning a spot in my soul. Stories and life lessons from a 40 something women, who is full on perimenopausal, neurodivergent, dyslexic, and probably (for sure) undiagnosed ADD/ADHD. Life with all of this and running a very successful personal training business, raising 3 humans, and being married to my high school sweetheart for 25+ years has given me a whole new outlook on not just my life, but it also gives me the opportunity to connect with other humans. Surrounding myself with other humans who don't act, look, talk or have gone through similar life experiences has fasinated me and I feel makes me a better human. I want to share these very open, raw, and heartfelt stories with you as well. So buckle up this is fix'n to be a wild and crazy ride, full of sharp turns, belly laughs and tears!
