SITH UTR 674.fm podcast by MARKUS SCHWARZ [MOF Matter Of Fact, Guestrow GER] MARKUS SCHWARZ, born and raised in Güstrow (GER/ Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), first encountered the Wheels of Steel in the mid-90s. His passion for House, Techno, and Electro, rooted in the electronic underground sounds of Detroit, New York, and Chicago, quickly developed. His first gigs at illegal parties in 1998 deeply connected him to the local underground scene. In the 2000s, he left hishometown to broaden his horizons. After stints in southern Germany and Hamburg, hereturned to his roots six years ago and is now an integral part (CCO) of the Vinyl pressing plant MATTER OF FACT, which he founded together with his best friends, Andre Kronert and Daniel Slabschie. Over the years, he has played countless gigs in small but excellent underground clubs, not with the goal of launching a big career, but rather out of a love for the sound and the shared experiences that forged deep friendships. Always keeping up with the times but never forgetting his roots, he doesn't play regularly, focusing on the record pressing plant and his own productions, which will finally be released in the upcoming months. SITH_UTR Special_DIGITAL KAOS (DJ) feat. SCOTTY BÖTTCHER (keys)_11-01-2026 The second part of this UNDER THE RADAR / SITH night, from midnight to 1:40 AM, to be taken over by our Dresden colleagues Karsten Hoffmann aka DIGITAL KAOS and Scotty Böttcher. The Dresden duo describes their own fusion of digital DJing and live synthesizer improvisations as so called "Jazzid House." Moods ranging from lightness and melancholy to powerful grooves played alternately in slow motion or at a constant pace. Drawn from their own sound presets of the original Yamaha DX7, designed in 1983. This instrument, with its widespread use of the then-new sounds that significantly shaped the 80s, and meets a 125 BPM deep and multifaceted 4/4 House collage. Following their joint debut in summer 2025, the two guys present a 90-minute, one-take, studio-pre-recorded set as part of this year's "All Sounds Electric" festival. After the Kosmonauten FM December broadcast from Dresden, the set is finally also be featured at Spyinthehouse on 674FM Cologne. THIS highly recommended Electro club-mix UNDER THE SpyInTheHouse RADAR, broadcasted via Cologne's own 674FM, and still supported by Psycho Thrill Cologne 🔴 feat. Berlin's incredible ELECTRO-fying PALOMA resident Finn Johannsen (POWER HOUSE / Paloma BLN)‼️ It's not often that I play/listen to a DJ mix "on heavy rotation" multiple times, and over several days at a time. However, Finn Johannsen's mix here is one of those lucky cases or breaks that the electronic music deejay genre doesn't offer every day. To summarize briefly, Johannsen is precisely that relevant subject matter expert who masterfully illuminates the 808 bass genre, usually framed by Kraftwerk and Detroit Electro/TechnoBass/Hi-TechFunk, in his own more "cutting-edge" way, with Drum-N-Bass/Breaks, Jit, GhettoTech, and plenty of classic Disco, Funk, and Pop cues. Not many can do this in that way! And added to that - you can hear it immediately - this offers tons of passion for the subject, meticulous track knowledge, and an equally credible sense of mission, which, given the intensive engagement with the subject itself (right down to the complete track listing), and the resulting loss of personal life, sleep, and energy, which is usually never sufficiently acknowledged. But that honors the creator of this mix all the more, who originally recorded this one for the Sea/Side Crew in Helsinki. Johannsen then immediately sets things straight, even in terms of genre diversity, with a quote that is both sympathetically understandable: "A(nother) reason was that I was working at Hard Wax then and often overheard people in the store disrespecting the genre, mostly because they claimed the sound palette of Electro was too limited to really matter in terms of musicianship. I did not agree with that." Which, at this point and with this mix, simply as FU**, brings it to a self-explanatory, significant, unfortunately otherwise overused point. The rest is called merely "Highly Recommended," starting with Detroit's own DJ Dez Andres' beautiful "The Sweetest Pain" and culminating in the crowning finale after over three hours of mixing with a fantastic, Jit-Beat-laden "My Life My Passion" edit of Joe Jackson's great Synth-Pop classic "Steppin Out"! ARBILLA / PHIL ROBERTSON aka Attila Fulop, Hungarian-born DJ/Producer, living in Ireland since 2006, founded the Detroit techno-inspired and Dublin-based label Xistence Records. As a teenager, he started with typical home DJ-ing in the late 90's. To be followed by debut performances in local clubs and parties in his home country Hungary. For his take-off, he used to play first UK and Japanese Techno. Discovering the Detroit mothership in 1999, Techno had another sudden deep impact on him when he started to produce his own first tracks in 2002. Recording so music for Detroit's Motech Records, he had last year's appearance on the Swiss Acquit imprint. Where he debuted with his full-length album "Unborn Life" as Arbilla in September 2024 alongside more music on Logos Recordings and Lyre Records under his moniker "Moments". Phil also recorded as Mix-O-Logy (his electro/break side project), with his first EP "Reciprocity" Robert Drewek's Rawax' sublabel Electrowax. Some of those tracks used to be played and supported by Derrick May, Suburban Knight, DJ Rolando, Colin Dale, Raresh, Claus Bachor, and other well-known names on the scene in the past years. And logically Xistence record was launched at the end of 2022, focussing on vinyl releases mostly and still showing a big respect to the MotorCity. So Planet Detroit massively influences all his outputs. And each includes great remixes from producers such as Scan7, Suburban Knight, Biz, Microworld, or John Beltran. Besides this Phil is also a heavy vinyl collector with a stack of thousands of records, as he says: "I have a very wild spectrum of musical taste. Just like Techno, House, Electro, Breaks, D&B, Soul, Funk, US Disco, New Wave, Minimal, Italo Disco, Ambient, Downtempo, the 80's, no matter what kind of serious electronic music is on its way." And as DJ his style and skills have been massively influenced by Derrick May, Kenny Larkin, and Claude Young to name a few. JONAH QUAST aka BPN was born and raised in Cologne. From 2012 to 2014 he was a member of the “Tauchgang” crew and organized parties in the Cologne underground.
