The members of this year's STING podcast met for one last time to analyze some clues and report who their culprit is for our CSI:Discovery event next week. They also reflected a bit on their time spent at Discovery and shared some of their memories.

On today's episode, we bring back Franky Gonzalez to wax poetic about life, love, and of course, music. He shares some of his experiences with relationships, teaches us how to meditate, and shares how music is such an essential part of his life...enjoy!

This week we bring in Abby and Jodi, two high school freshmen who are not only former Discovery students, but Sting podcast OGs! The team pick their brains about making the transition from 8th grade to high school and the girls hand down their life lessons and a few laughs along the way...enjoy!

Writing extraordinaire Sheila Rowe stopped by to discuss her experiences in education, learning to competitively figure skate at the age of 30, and some of her travels, including one you may want to avoid if you don't like leeches.

Had a great time with our Discovery community for the Learning SHOWCASE Night. Whether we were talking about superpowers, or travel plans, fears, or stinky hosts...it didn't matter, because it was an interesting experience for everyone...especially me.

This week we brought in Andrea Arellano, where we talked about her time as a principal, her job as Director of SEL and Mental Health Services, her identical twin, the state of education and what we can do to improve it, and even gave her encouragement(dare I say, an intervention) on being more confident in all she does for GESD.

We have been away for awhile, but we were pleased to have Mr Clark return to the studio to share his experiences in teaching, music, acting, and everything in between.

On this week's episode, the team does their best to make sense of something that really doesn't make sense at all...dreams. What do they mean? What do they say about us? Are there any dreams that Gio HASN'T had? Tune in and find out!

For this episode, we decided to take things on the road and record an episode in beautiful, sunny Maine. I got a chance to interview 3 people who were my most important connections to GESD40. They got a chance to share some teacher stories and even participated in a new game we are trying out for the podcast next school year.

In this 2-part episode, the team reflects on a transgression and memorable moments they had this year. In the second half, we bring in anyone who wanted to jump on the mic during our Learning Showcase and share what was memorable about the year.

On this week's podcast we decide to improvise and end up with something pretty unique. It was Discovery Communications Night and I decided to bring in anyone who wanted to come experience podcasting...we discussed anything from reincarnation and haunts to family dynamics and school paddling.

This week, the STING podcast welcomes Lauren Adams to the studio. Lauren is a clinician intern at Elevate Counseling in Glendale and she helps the team navigate through the issues involving social media abuse.

This week the team delves into screen time and social media. We take a look at the positives, but also tackle the obvious issue of social media being a negative influence in young students' lives.

On this episode, the team brings in some high school students to the studio to chat about the transition from 8th grade to high school. The Independence High School students share some of their experiences of making the transition to high school, what to expect when you get there, and how to find success without getting overwhelmed in the process...they even give Abby a lesson in english...

Heidi Vega, the Director of Communications for the Arizona School Board Association, comes in to share some life lessons and tell an amazing personal story as well...enjoy!
