StudentID #11 - Marc Passola Folch

Dear Students, Welcome back. In this episode, you will discover the story of 3rd year GEL student Marc Passola Folch, a hard working, ambitious, and dedicated student who has accomplished a whole lot for a 21 year old (he is nicknamed “Presi” for a reason). Above being one of the faces of ESADE’s GEL program, involved in many roles in the Student Community (association founder, student delegate, student council member) he has earned himself an internship in the prestigious European Parliament, and he shared EVERYTHING you need to know about what it is like to work for an international institution.  Marc seems more set with his career path with that experience behind him and hopefully his journey can help you further figure out yours!  From what surprised him, to what he learned about the European system, we go further into his aspirations and the discoveries he made about himself during that time. Other notable key points we tackle in this episode include: MOTIVATION: What does motivation imply and is it a sustainable force for growth? COMMUNICATION: What is the power of good communication? How to navigate its many dynamics? SUCCESS: What is Marc’s take on “success”? And, much more. We go deeper as our conversation diverts into a 3-way reflexion on relationships and the role vulnerability can have. We then become vulnerable ourselves and share some of the hardest events we have faced in our lives so far.   We finish on a positive note looking at the power of being authentic and true to oneself. Good news: it’s free and there are no courses or prerequisites needed. So we encourage you to go be yourself, and share your knowledge with those around you!  We hope this episode gave you something to think about.  If you liked it, share it!  Connect with Marc!  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/marc-passola-folch/ Make sure to follow our socials too: Instagram: @transposemagazine Youtube: @StudentIDpod #Inspire&GetInspired

    StudentID #10 - Maria Tolosa

StudentID in double digits!  Our 10th episode marks a conversation with our youngest guest yet and the first 2nd year at ESADE (GEL) we interviewed. The exchange we had speaks lengths to the experience Maria Tolosa already has with 20 years of age: student delegate, member of the Student Council, board member at Esade’s newest association IPEA… Amongst other ventures, Maria is a true campus life rockstar.  She shares insights into the Student’s council main goal on campus, what a summer program at ESADE is like, and develops on her big ambitions for the coming years. To put it simply, if we do see an ESADE MUN in 2025, you’ll know who to thank…  We also touched on various world thematics such as:  The impact of Yuval Noah Harari’s teachings on Maria’s worldview Why the question of death is (or should be!) central to every human’s thinking of life Why debates are essential in every society And, much more! Topping of the episode, Maria responds to her best friend’s question explaining why “giving is more important than receiving” in a very insightful way that gives a great idea of the values Maria lives by on a day to day basis.  We hope you have enjoyed this episode, and learned something on the way.  If you liked it, share it!  Make sure to follow our socials too: Instagram: @transposemagazine Youtube: @StudentIDpod #Inspire&GetInspired Feel free to reach out to Maria!  LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/mariatolosat Check out IPEA:  Website: https://www.ipeaesade.com/ IPEA’s Podcast “A Foreign Conversation”: https://open.spotify.com/show/6cpCXR4t8eUcXgRGu0YjHE?si=dda8e256b00a4e2c See you next week!

StudentID #9 - Paco De La Rosa Ariza

New week, new episode! We welcome you back with an explosive episode with energy bomb Paco! Although this episode is shorter, we still touched on a variety of different themes including but not limited to: The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Is it worth it to go?  Volunteer opportunities in Barcelona. What NGOs should I be on the lookout for if I want to have a positive impact on my community?  What does it mean to be a good person?  Going further into Paco’s mind, we learn about his current career plans, his work in the sales and finance associations, and his growing interest in running. Stay until the end to hear his career advice to students, who he would spend his time with while on a desert island, and his “book you’re supposed to read” recommendation!  Authentic, unafraid to show vulnerability, and true to his values: that’s how Paco presented himself to our (and hopefully your) great delight.  Thank you for that! We hope you got something out of this episode. Have any questions you would want us to ask future guests?  Let us know in the chat section below.  You can reach out to Paco:  LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/paco-de-la-rosa-ariza-632368220 If you liked it, share it!  Make sure to follow our socials too: Instagram: @transposemagazine Youtube: @StudentIDpod #Inspire&GetInspired PS: link to the Corte Ingles 10k race in Barcelona if you want to sign up: https://cursaelcorteingles.cat/es/home-es/

    StudentID #8 - Roan Cassidy

Dear students, if you’re thinking about going on an exchange semester or year at ESADE, this episode is for you!  In this relaxed conversation with smooth talker Roan, expect to learn about how life is really like for an exchange student in Barcelona. We break down: Why he chose Barcelona and ESADE The integration process The difficulties he overcame His biggest takeaway from the semester  Positives and negatives of ESADE’s management of exchange students And, much more! We go deeper into the mind of a creator as we explore who Roan truly is and what makes him tick.  From his acting days in NYC, to pursuing a Management & Entrepreneurship degree at Loyola University in New Orleans, to now being driven by his music passion, Roan is invested to grow his hip-hop music output, and maybe even start his own business one day. His biggest tip for exchange students? “On that first week, on that first day, you have to be a little social animal”.  To Roan, “we're all different genres of the same music”, so why not just go out there, connect with people, be yourself, and find those people that share the same passion as you! Overall, it was an insightful conversation that we hope will allow YOU, full-time students, to get the perspective of a seasonal passenger over the city we live in and the studies we do.  Some mic issues unfortunately on this one so sound might be a bit low, but hope you can still enjoy and learn from this episode!  If you liked it, share it!  Make sure to follow our socials too: Instagram: @transposemagazine Youtube: @StudentIDpod #Inspire&GetInspired Here’s the list of Roan’s recommendations throughout the episode: Check out Roan's favorite rappers: Dijon, Jordan Ward, J Cole Cerveceria Catalana: https://cerveceriacatalana.com/ La Terrazza: https://laterrrazza.com/ Connect with Roan!  Spotify: @RoanCass LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/roan-cassidy-ab2040234 Instagram: @roancass

    StudentID #7 - Nikitas Kitsantas

Authentic and honest is how we like our guests, and Nikitas truly embodies those attributes.  In this seventh episode, discover who this GEL 3rd Year is and what his systems look like on a daily basis.  Where does his determination come from?  How does he prioritise his tasks to optimise his workflow?  How does he manage his personal life with his many roles, responsibilities, and ambitions? And, much more! Nikitas is truly how he describes himself: determined, passionate, and outgoing.  He puts a lot of energy and time into… well everything he does! Learn about his journey and why he gets up in the morning to do what he does. We touched on the importance of empowerment as a leader, the difference between good and bad competition, and debunked the myth of effective multitasking.  We go deeper as Nikitas shares how his failures and rejections have become fuel to his engine through an intimate story explaining why he started running. Spoiler: It changed his self-belief. He realised that the limits you put on yourself are the only ones preventing you from being the person you aspire to be.  What’s next for Nik?  The history books will tell… So stay tuned and connect with Nikitas! StudentID #6 - Emma Katama

By listening to this episode, we guarantee you will gain insights over the seeming 7 lives Emma Katama has already lived with only 23 years of age.  The number of experiences she’s had will blow you mind and hopefully inspire you to go on your own journeys and face your fears.  Through Emma’s perspective, you will learn about what it's like to, spend 11th grade on a sailboat traveling to 20+ countries, endure the daily life within the Norwegian military, and backpack around Latin America for 6 months. Some quotes by Emma... “Tell the people around you what you would like them to tell you”  Emma’s concept of “saying what you would like to be told” is very demonstrative of who she is: a true team leader and loyal friend. She stresses the value of good teamwork and how building each other UP can truly breed wonders. “Sometimes I don’t really like making up my mind, so I really like to find a couple of options and then just leave it to faith” All in all, what you will realise is that being a Norwegian national is pretty cool, but what Emma’s journey really shows us all, is how to create opportunities for yourself, take the ones offered to you, and truly make the most out them, by embracing the unknown and the uncomfortable in the search of what you are passionate about.   If you liked it, share it! #Inspire&GetInspired Connect with Emma! StudentID #5 - Jade Richard

Dear students, Unfortunately, there was a problem with the video recording for this episode, so we apologize for that. Yet, as you will hear, the wise words of this week's guest: "Jade Richard" put into perspective the small mistakes and mishaps we all face in our daily lives. Jade says: “imperfection is perfect”, and in times where western societies are so focused on competition and comparisons, it's a great recalibration to keep in mind for the way we view our day-to-day tasks and challenges. This mindset is applicable to all things in life and can be related to everything we talked about today. While we mainly addressed the different facets of sustainability and to what extent it the search of a sustainable lifestyle was part of Jade's identity, we also touched upon what it meant to push ones limits, the importance of consistency and self-belief, how to build good habits, time management and much more. If you liked it, share it! Our first episode engaging with the student community brought us to interview Adi, who is doing the Masters in Business & Analytics at Esade. We touched upon many subjects including his experience in Barcelona so far, as well as his career path and the opportunities his degree will give him.
