I don't think this show will go too dark, but there are already signs that they aren't being super cool with each other- even signs the show itself is too sexist to notice. Tokuso Sentai Dekaranger takes an uncomfortable angle on Chinese culture, then pivots into Japanese patriotism that may or not be innocent, but it's hard to shake the 2025 connotations of such things. Futari wa Pretty Cure? Poisony shows off a power so staggering that it's hard to imagine how she didn't wrap this thing up weeks ago. We're not CinemaSins-ing, it's just kinda amazing to see.
