Today, Joe and Shelli review Psalm 24 and the song from the worship set, King of Glory by Passion. What we see in Psalm 24 is a song with alternating voices between sections. The congregation opens up with verses one and two, and the worship leader asks the question in verse three and eight, "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord" and "Who is this King of glory?" To which we respond, "The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory."

Today we’re joined by Amos and Jamie Bazil as we talk about what it really means to be part of the family of God. Amos serves behind the scenes with lyrics and security, while Jamie leads in children’s ministry from nursery through AWANA and VBS—all while raising four kids together. We also take time to reflect on conversations we’ve had with several listeners about worship, and how those perspectives shape the way we gather as a church. Our discussion centers around the chorus of “The Family of God” and how it connects with Pastor Mark’s message from Mark 3:31–35—reminding us that our identity in Christ places us into something bigger than ourselves: a spiritual family.

They also look at the prophet Habakkuk, who chose to rejoice in God even while facing the coming Babylonian invasion, showing that worship and faith are not just feelings but a decision to trust God’s character and promises.

    The Tuckers' Return

    Discussing Communion

When Jesus said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood,” He was fulfilling a promise that stretches from Genesis to the prophets — a promise to rescue, forgive, and dwell with His people forever. This episode explores how that ancient covenant finds its “Yes” in Christ and why the table is more than bread and juice — it’s assurance that the better sacrifice has secured us for good.

  14. 78

    Lord Let Your Glory Fall

In this episode, we reflect on one of the most powerful worship moments in Scripture—Solomon’s dedication of the temple in 2 Chronicles 5–7—and how it connects to “Lord, Let Your Glory Fall” by Matt Redman. When the ark was brought into the temple and the people lifted their voices in unified praise, the glory of the Lord filled the house so fully that the priests could not even stand to minister. We talk about what was happening in that moment, why it mattered in Israel’s history, and how that same longing for God’s tangible presence shapes our worship today. What does it mean to pray, “Lord, let Your glory fall”? Join us as we explore the weight, wonder, and beauty of God dwelling among His people.

  15. 77

They share a bit of real life—why they don’t exchange Christmas gifts with each other, an audio clip of Joe performing Christmas music outside the church, and some brief beatboxing. It’s a conversation about worship, witness, and what it looks like to glorify God by telling others what we’ve seen and heard.

    Peace On Earth

Together, they reflect on what truly makes Christmas special—not the absence of conflict, but the peace Jesus came to bring. Drawing from Luke 2 and Pastor Mark’s message, the conversation centers on how Christmas makes peace with God possible, empowers peace with others, and offers peace within our own hearts. Along the way, they talk honestly about reconciliation, taking the first step, and why the prayer “Lord, hear our prayer” still matters today.

  24. 68

O Come Let Us Adore Him

This week on Sunday Reverb, Joe and Shelli look at the timeless Christmas hymn, O Come All Ye Faithful. Along the way, they disagree about Joe not being the jolliest person during the Christmas season, and how that actually deepens the meaning of the hymn’s invitation to “come and adore.” A surprise phone call from Felita Kahrs—the vocalist who led the song on Sunday—adds a fun, unexpected moment and gives a little window into the heart behind her worship.Joe also shares a devotional reminder that Christ came precisely for the unfaithful, that God invites us as we truly are, and that adoration has a way of restoring what our failures try to steal. It’s a warm, honest Christmas episode that points every weary heart back to Jesus.
