Peter and Webby continue their conversation around Authority structures in scripture when Apollos, the 1 century Jewish/Christian teacher came up. Did he have authority without from outside of the line of apostles? Let's chat about that.

Peter came across a Jude 1:11 where the author gives 3 examples of people that we shouldn't be like. One of those examples was Korah, a Levite from the days of Moses that oppose Moses and Aaron.

In this episode Peter comes back with some definitions that he put together that he feels portray Webby's viewpoint the best.

Webby has the opportunity to come back with his thoughts on the "honoring case studies" that Peter brought forward on the last icon episode.

Peter and Webby take a small detour to meditate on the person hood of Jesus and how important and significant it is that He, the God of the universe, chose to become flesh and pitch his tent with us.

Ptony and Webby start a conversation around chapter 8 of the popular book, "I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist" by Norman Geisler and Frank Turek. Peter has some qualms about potential bias of the authors.

On August 8, 1996 in the Church of Santa Maria in Buenos Aires a consecrated host (the Eucharist) was reportedly dropped during Communion and, according to Church protocol, was placed in water to dissolve. Days later, it was said to have transformed into a piece of bloody flesh.In this episode, Ptony and Webby untangle the likelihood that this is a miraculous event at all.

The Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano took place in 8th century Italy when a doubting priest witnessed the consecrated host turn into real human flesh and the wine into blood during Mass. The relics - still preserved today - have been scientifically analyzed and confirmed to be human heart tissue and blood type AB. This powerful sign continues to inspire faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and draws pilgrims from around the world.

Peter and Webby are STILL talking about the Eucharist. I guess they are just like the rest of the church at large.In this episode they chat more about what early church father, Irenaeus may have meant in his writings about Gnosticism.

Peter and Webby take some time to speak more personally around the Eucharist tonight. Each share some of their perspectives and feelings around where they each are in their faith journey at the moment.Is Jesus substantially present in the Eucharist? Is He only Spiritually present and if so what does that mean? How would the Eucharist and Transubstantiation even work? How can Jesus be more or less present?It was a long, but great discussion.

The discussion around the "real presence" in the Eucharist continues with this side quest around Jesus' authority over and obligation to the law.

This one is kind of a tough discussion for Webby. It seems ultimately obvious that Jesus does appear to changed the law, but is that the same thing as abolishing it? If so, why did Jesus say specifically that he wasn't doing that.Ptony and Webby continue the conversation.

Peter brings an interesting topic, that Jesus kinda did abolish the law. What???

Ptony and Webby continue to discuss if the apostles would have believed that the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ was present in the Eucharist (Communion)Could they have believed that if it isn't acceptable for Christians to consume blood?
