Technology in Education

The following are quick interviews with students regarding their current use of technology for learning and the social environment. In learning about students as digital immigrants or digital natives, I felt that it was important to record a students viewpoint on how technology intermingles with their everyday lives. Questions in the podcasts range from access to technology in school to how students feel they learn differently from others. My findings support that technology is accessible to students in school, however, it is outside of the classroom that the interviewed students feel most confident. It begs the question; If our students are fluent in using technology to tackle their social lives and to support personal inquiry and learning outside of schools, shouldn't our classrooms embody the same approaches? Or at least the same skills and strategy that current technology promotes?
