Cllr Stephen Cowan: Hammersmith & Fulham

Episode three of the 2040 series is a cracker, as we're joined by the Leader of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Cllr Stephen Cowan. This was a wide ranging interview that covered all manner of topics, including the council's excellent Upstream London , which outlines a pioneering approach to Industrial Strategy in the borough. Cllr Cowan has led the borough since 2014, and in a decade he has built a remarkable list of achievements. He has coined the phase 'entrepreneurial municipal government' which is embodied in the White City Innovation District that pulls together the council, business, academia, and the community to support inclusive growth in that part of the world. There is much talk of that in this podcast, which we hope you enjoy.

  2. 2

    Cllr Grace Williams: Waltham Forest

We are joined by Cllr Grace Williams, the Leader of Waltham Forest Council, to talk about what the borough will look like in 2040. The London Borough of Waltham Forest has been one of the leaders in securing inward investment, and the council has a very clear strategy for future growth. In this episode Cllr Williams talks through what the council has achieved in the past decade and looks forward to 2040.
