We're joined by professional and current BC athletes, as well as present and past Eagles all of whom share hilariously funny and equally interesting stories.     Hockey is back on the Heights!     Season 4, Episode 1: Back to the Gridiron with BC Football RB Alex Broome

    The Buzz is back for year four! Host Alden Hunold joins Nick Petralia, Timmy Anderson, Jimmy Mahon, Noah Ross and Giovanni Culotta in welcoming BC Football running back Alex Broome to the program for a fourth straight year. Broome, who missed the 2024 season with an injury, discussed his recovery ahead of 2025, what camp is like under Bill O'Brien and how the Eagles can win eight games for the first time since 2009.

    Season 3, Episode 5: The Ticket featuring UGBC Presidential Candidates

    For the first time ever, we aren't covering sports this week on the Beacon Street Buzz: but the change of pace sure comes at an opportune moment, as the Undergraduate Government of Boston College will elect its new President and Vice President this week. Giovanni, Paul, Pepper, Alden and Jimmy sat down with two of the candidate groups in this year's race: Andrew Cimino and Brody Whetzel; Jack Adams and Chase Gibson. Tune in for a wide-ranging conversation about the candidates' policies, their experiences at BC that motivated their campaign, and their favorite things about the Heights. And don't worry, we'll be back on the BC sports beat next week. NOTE: An invite was extended to the third group of candidates, Cami Kulbieda and Reagan Marino, which was respectfully declined.

    Season 3, Episode 3: Now or Never with BC Women's Ice Hockey forward Katie Pyne

    BC WIH senior forward Katie Pyne joins Giovanni Culotta and Alden Hunold for the third episode of season three to preview her team's pivotal Hockey East Quarterfinal tilt against Maine. Pyne is also the host of the Around the Heights podcast with Giovanni, and she shares the highlights of her experience in the media world.

    Season 3, Episode 2: The Battle of Comm Ave featuring Jacob Fowler and Ryan Leonard

    It's our favorite hockey weekend of the year, folks. With the 296th Battle of Commonwealth Ave between no. 1 Boston College and no. 8 Boston University on tap this weekend, Giovanni Culotta, Pepper Green, Jackson Shafiroff, Paul Koltovich and Alden Hunold sat down with right winger Ryan Leonard and goaltender Jacob Fowler. Each player made their second appearance on the program. This time around we discussed the Eagles' hot start to the season, Ryan's experience winning a second Gold medal at the IHF World Junior Tournament (and the free burritos that came with it) and reviewed their "BC Rapid Fire" answers from the prior episodes.Let's.     Season 3, Episode 1: Hungry For More feat. BC Men's Hockey Coach Greg Brown

    At long last, the Buzz is BACK! Giovanni Culotta, Jackson Shafiroff, Paul Koltovich and Nick Petralia kick off Season 3 as BC Men's Hockey Head Coach Greg Brown joins the program. With the 2nd ranked Eagles on a seven-game heater, Coach Brown shared how this year's team can build on last season's success and detailed the work that lies ahead of BC as it pursues back-to-back Hockey East titles.

    Episode 18: The Batman featuring BC Birdball Ace John West

    In our final episode of the year, Giovanni, Nick and Pepper were joined by BC Birdball's top pitcher, John West. Aptly nicknamed "Batman," West discussed the big series against Clemson that awaits BC Birdball this weekend, the opportunity to play in the NCAA tournament in Tuscaloosa last year, and his unbelievable performance in last season's ALS Game at Fenway Park. West also shares anecdotes about his favorite professor at Boston College and describes the senior experience as his time at BC comes to a close.

Giovanni, Paul, Timmy, Alden and Pepper talked with Colby about the state of the team heading into the Hockey East playoffs and NCAA Tournament while also chatting about his relationship with hockey throughout the years and favorite memories at BC as his time as an Eagle comes to a close.     Episode 12 Take That, Rewind It Back: BC Football 2023 Season-In-Review

    For our last episode of 2023, Giovanni hosts his final episode until May (as he trains for the Boston Marathon) and takes Eagles fans through the wild ride that was BC Football's 2023 season. Featuring stories about each of the games, a pair of interviews with Boston Globe beat writer Trevor Hass and BC Football OL Jack Conley, and a sports talk segment featuring Buzz hosts Nick Petralia and Timmy Anderson, we show that despite a 3-game skid to end the season, there is plenty to be excited about as the Eagles make the long trip to Fenway Park to face no. 24 SMU in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl on December 28th.     Episode 11: Lennyland ft. BC Hockey's Ryan Leonard

    As finals approach, the no. 2 ranked Eagles return to the ice for a 4:30 matinee against Hockey East rival Providence. For our 30th-ever episode, BSB was joined by BC hockey freshman Ryan Leonard, the 8th overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft by the Washington Capitals and one of the fantastic freshmen on the team. A prodigy of the US NTDP along with line mates Gabe Perrault and Will Smith, Ryan chatted with Giovanni, Nick, Jackson, Timmy, Paul and Pepper about his life in hockey, his experience so far at BC and how the boys will look to keep it rolling into January and February. We also determine who the worst Fortnite player on BC hockey is (don't worry Will, you will get a chance to respond).

    Happy Thanksgiving Eagles: and on this favorite holiday of football fans, what better gift than an interview with Captain America himself? For Episode 10, the Buzz sat down with Luke (LUUUUUUKKKEEEE) Kuechly, former Boston College All-American Linebacker and 2013 NFL Defensive Player of the Year with the Carolina Panthers. Giovanni is joined by Nick, Jackson, Noah and Jimmy to chat with Luke about his origins in football out in Cincinnati, his journey in Chestnut Hill, and the fun he had on the Panthers in the NFL. As one of the true lovers of the game, Luke ends with a great message for this year's Eagles as they approach the final stretch of the season. Let's. Get. Buzzin'.

    BC Football is on a roll- and as they look to win their 4th straight game for the first time since 2021, the Buzz brought in a member of one of the team's best-performing units to talk about how the Eagles can get it done on Homecoming weekend. BC football redshirt freshman Jack Funke sat down with Giovanni and the Buzz on Episode 8 to discuss the team's recent hot stretch, him being the team's Welles Crowther Honoree and his family's BC history.     BC sophomore and superstar golfer joins Pepper, Noah, Jimmy, Nick and Giovanni for a wide-ranging and hilarious conversation about anything and everything from golf, to football, even how Noah and Nick, can stop making donations to the woods at every course he plays. The dynamic duo shared their favorite memories of their time with BC lax, some of the highlights of their childhood in an NFL and BC family and how the team is prepping to get back to a 7th National Championship in 8 years.

    NIU Week: Back to Broome

    After a long summer's wait, we are finally back: both The Beacon Street Buzz and (more importantly) BC Football return this week as Giovanni, Pepper, Jimmy, Noah, Jackson and Nick welcomed sophomore RB Alex Broome to the show for a second time. In this episode, we get Alex thoughts about how the Eagles will look to improve in 2023, and about what personal and team goals he's set for this year. We learn what the highlights of the pregame mix are, the mixology behind the Gatorade on the sideline, and who on the team Alex would rather not be stuck in an elevator with. All of that and more on Episode 1 as the Beacon Street Buzz is back for Year 2.

    As the Buzz winds down and BC Birdball gears up for a playoff push, we sat down with second baseman Patrick Roche for our second baseball show of the season. Pat talked with us about his team’s mentality after a recent cold stretch, their preparations for the ACC Tournament, and the best nicknames on the team.

    Almost Monday

    As the Eagles geared up for Marathon Monday at BC, we realized that there was no better person to talk to this week than one of BC’s comedy pioneers. Senior Will Donnellon, who has done work with Friday Beers, The New England Classic and Hello Shovelhead, joined the Buzz this week to talk Mar Mon as well as literally anything else but Mar Mon. From spending time with Matt King in LA to joining the marathon to get to Circle, Will has been through it all.

    The Captain

    Me when the boys finally get a hockey guest ("Hooray"-Nick Petralia). For one of our best interviews yet, BC hockey's first ever black captain and future NHL-er Marshall Warren joined the Buzz for an electric puck show. We talked with Marsh about the highlights of his career with the Eagles, how figure skating helped him shred on the ice and more. The Cap even makes a big request of the BC faithful-and when the captain talks, you listen.

    The buzz is back with a none interview episode where the crew recaps both BC's hockey and basketball seasons. As well, they discuss the continuing campaigns for both women's lacrosse and the surprisingly hot baseball team. To close out the episode Pepper tries to impress the guys with her newly found sports knowledge. It definitely was knowledge.

    After an electric spring break, the boys are buzzing for St. Patty’s day as we’re joined by BC Birdball’s star freshman catcher, Adonys Guzman. We chat with Adonys about his team’s 10-game win streak, his baseball origins, why he thinks the World Baseball Classic is bigger than the World Series and to look forward to the team’s upcoming matchup against Florida State down in Tallahassee. Pepper learns what the ACC is and Nick learns a shocking truth about an age-old baseball phrase. Only on the Buzz.

    Women’s. Lacrosse. School. In a night of firsts, the guys (joined by new member Pepper Green on the mic) sat down with BC lax sophomore attacker Mckenna Davis to talk about the team’s start to the year, some of her favorite lacrosse memories and her BC experience away from the turf. McKenna even shares her go-to dodge…opponents beware: even if you hear it, there’s no stopping it.

    It officially sucks to BU again-the guys return to the table to review hockey’s bronze-medal (you're welcome Timmy) performance in the Beanpot. Coach Grant and basketball have dropped two straight-but we ride. We discuss Quinten Post’s recent showings and how he and the team can keep the momentum going as they prepare to host Virginia. And for women’s lax, Northwestern is the only thing standing between the Eagles and an undefeated record: we talk about how the girls can approach a huge cross-conference matchup in Evanston. No one likes the cats.

    Greg Brown and the boys can’t figure it out on the ice, while Earl Grant and co. continue to rack off big wins. The guys talk through the killer beanpot loss to Harvard, basketball’s sweep of Virginia Tech, and, finally, the start of women’s lax season. Please bring us a championship.

    It’s BU hate week, and who better to ring in the battle of Comm Ave than the Prophet of Parm himself: John Buccigross. The renowned ESPN NHL analyst and play-by-play broadcaster joins the Buzz to preview BC-BU, talk some cawlidge hawkey, reflect on his career at SportsCenter and share a great golf story. And no, there was no chicken parm consumed in the making of this show.

    The boys are buzzin'...the guys return to the studio for the first time in a month to review BC hockey and basketball's performance while also looking ahead to the spring semester.
