An ancient romance story, maybe even a comedy, from around the third or fourth century. Two lovers attempt to get eloped after some love at first sight, and everything in the universe gets in their way. The leading man does everything in his power to live with as little spine as possible, and the leading lady dies a few times. And it has a happy ending!
