Episode 11: Senior Spotlight Recap featuring Ms. Dimas, Ms. Yale, and Coach P
Send us Fan MailCardinal Nation!Today, our listeners are in for a treat as Ms. Dimas, Ms. Yale, and Coach P recap what is certain to become a new tradition. We have been building toward an event that we knew would be special. The Senior Spotlight was even more than we thought it would be! It was an evening to enjoy family, fun, food, music, and the special joy that embodies the Cardinal Nation!The evening began with families streaming in to set up their tables and enjoy all that the event promised to offer. Families enjoyed music, food, and dancing as we inched closer to sunset.Just before sunset, the seniors took one last photo together and then rejoined their families.The students AND their families or support groups were presented one at a time as they walked down an avenue of light.After the final student was presented, one last group walked into the spotlight - the Cardinal Staff. The people who spent countless hours supporting, cheering, and pushing these students to the end of their K - 12 careers.Finally, the community counted down from ten to zero and they were greeted with a thunderous show in the skies as fireworks filled the atmosphere. This special episode features just a sampling of Osborne Staff Members who are also Osborne Alumni!This special episode features a TON of laughter and lessons from over 30 YEARS for flying high as an Osborne Cardinal.Michael Hewett serves as a teacher in our Transitional Academy. He was a student-athlete who ended up in education after a conversation with Coach Jones (now Principal Jones). You'll be able to hear his passion for all things Osborne and a special excitement to see how the football team has performed this year!Jasmin Molina serves as a literature teacher and was recently announced as the Teacher of the Year! She went from a highly involved student at Osborne and returned with that same fire for inspiring students! Kimberly Amaya will be a Spanish teacher next year in her first year as a TEACHER at Osborne! However, she's been no stranger to Osborne since her graduation. Episode 7: Student, Esteban Esparza & Chief Rodney Fagan

This week, we feature not only an amazing student but also, his teacher.Cadet Esteban Esparza, our JROTC Commander, is a member of the Class of 2024 and also the highest-ranking ROTC Cadet at Osborne. He is a great representative of a student pouring himself into the school and being a positive role model for others at Osborne. He is also an inspiration to his family and other families in the Osborne Community. Cadet Esparza is joined by Chief Warrant Officer Rodney Fagan. Chief Fagan has been serving the Osborne Community for a majority of his educational career and along with Master Sergeants Arnold and Collins. This team has built one of the largest ROTC programs in the nation. The Osborne ROTC program, under leaders like Cadet Esparza and his instructors, competes around the United States to demonstrate why they are one of the best programs in the nation.Listen here to learn more about the great impact the program has on our students and the community.
