MYSTERY OF THE WEEK: Kathleen discusses the mystery behind the famous Irish bottlenose dolphin, Fungie. According to locals in the Irish town of Dingle, Fungie was first spotted in the Dingle Harbor in 1983 making him approximately 40 years old. One of the tourist highlights for anyone visiting the area is a boat ride to see Fungie, and Kathleen is devasted that her dolphin friend has been reported missing.

MYSTERY OF THE WEEK: Kathleen discusses Admiral Richard E. Byrd’s mysterious 1947 encounter with a lost civilization in the forbidden land of Agartha, and the origin of the “Hollow Earth” belief. There are case notes that state that the US government knew about Agartha before Admiral Byrd discovered it. Kathleen does her best impression of the leader of the ancient beings that Byrd came in contact with, and walks listeners through a map of the forbidden land.

MYSTERY OF THE WEEK: Kathleen discusses the four virtually uncontacted tribes that the outside world knows very little about, including the Sentinelese, the cannibalistic Korowai, the Brazillian Fleicheros, and the Amazonian Mashco-Piro tribe.

MYSTERY OF THE WEEK: Kathleen discusses the mysteries surrounding Myrtles Plantation, which is a haunted plantation in St. Francisville, LA. Built in 1796, the plantation is touted as one of the nation’s most haunted homes with tens of recorded ghost encounters. The plantation now runs as a bed and breakfast in the same home where more than ten known murders took place.

MYSTERY OF THE WEEK: Kathleen discusses Mexico’s creepiest tourist destination, the Island of the Dolls. Dolls of various styles and colors are found throughout the island, originally placed by the former owner of the island, Don Julian Santana Barrera. Julian believed that dolls helped to chase away the spirit of a girl drowned years ago. The island is still accessible to visitors who dare to travel to its haunted shores.
