Episode 43_Execution: The Functional Key to Startup Growth
One of the buzzwords in the world of Startups is EXECUTION. Some describe execution as a strategy and others describe it as a skill. But what really is execution and why does every company have what is called the Chief ‘Execution’ Officer. In this episode I describe what execution is as more than just a strategy or a skill. I delve into how you can identify if you’re an executioner or not and how you can be an executioner. After listening to this episode the key difference between who a CEO is and an entrepreneur will be ingrained in your minds. But above all, the key to growth for your startup will be unlocked. In today’s episode, we’re diving into what it truly means to bootstrap a business, why some of the world’s most resilient companies started this way, and how operating with constraints can actually sharpen your strategy. Episode 41_The Biggest Lie Out of Silicon Valley: You Don’t Need To Be a Tech Founder
Silicon Valley lied to aspiring founders. It led many to believe that to be a founder was to be a tech entrepreneur. As a result many young folk who decided on becoming founders focused on forming the next big tech startup and not the next startup fosuced on riding the economic trends of its continent. Tell me why every startup must be a software company focused on payments. This episode is not an indictment of tech but a call for a redefinition of the word “startup”. In this episode I cite the example of Aliko Dangote who took billion dollar opportunities by the horns without being a tech founder. Today those opportunities still exist and it’s time we had that conversation in the startup community. And here’s a question to Angel investors, venture capitalists and finance corporations, Are you funding the next Facebook or PayPal or Amazon of Africa, or you are funding behemoths with an authentic African DNA solving Africa’s problems.

Episode 28_The Next Frontier: Participating in Africa’s Future
Over 400 years ago ships sailed across the Atlantic to find a continent rich with every known resource under the sun. After several weeks they landed on the soil of the African continent and set out on the arduous task of doing business with this “new-found” ally. After several centuries of extraction, the African continent was semi-liberated from the chains that held it from its development. Though the continent had progressed with the world in time, it didn’t progress per the effects of civilization. Today, the African continent remains largely undiscovered; mineral resources, human resources, industries, ventures, all untapped. It thus supposes that Africa remains the final frontier of the world, the last continent to be fully discovered. In 1957 when Ghana gained independence from British colonial rule, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah said “The independence of Ghana is meaningless until it is linked to the total liberation of the African continent.” Sadly the African continent still remains unliberated by forces of neo-colonialism and thus begs the supposition that Africa remains the final frontier of the world. It is no wonder then that present Xi Jinping, a man of great foresight and insight and the leader of the second superpower of the world has said that “Africa is the future of the world.”I believe you will enjoy this episode of The Dakwahene Podcast as I touch on Africa as the final frontier of the world, the 5 areas that anyone can take advantage of to lay claims on the future of the continent and to position the continent its glory.

Episode 26_The Entrepreneur’s Curse: The Undying Optimism
The entrepreneur carries a curse that looks, to outsiders, like confidence. It’s the delusion that everything will fall into place—that success is just a matter of showing up, that luck will favor him because he dares to believe it will. He walks into chaos like it’s already conquered, underestimating the grind, the loneliness, the cost of every mistake. This blind optimism shields him from fear but also blinds him to reality. It’s his greatest strength and his downfall: the unwavering belief that it’s all going to be easy. That belief keeps him moving when logic says stop—but it also ensures he’ll learn the hard way just how brutal building something real can be. His curse is that he dreams too boldly to quit, and too blindly to see the storm he’s walking into.
