In the Logan talks about her experience with Vanderbilt has been like so far, playing in the AAC, and what it was like playing lacrosse growing up in Texas. More about Logan: This season Logan at the time of this recording Logan has 3 goals, 4 ground balls, 2 caused turnovers, and 4 draw controls. In her lacrosse career before college Logan Won the state championship in 2019 while earning the MVP award, was an All-state and all-district honors and was her school’s 2021-22 Varsity Athlete of the Year, Logan was also a Two-time Under Armor Southwest Command Team.     On today’s episode I am joined by Grad Student on the East Carolina Women’s Lacrosse team Caroline Kimel. In this episode we discuss her career with East Carolina, growing up in North Carolina, and her relationship with her Mom Kerstin Kimel the head coach for Duke Women’s Lacrosse. More about Caroline: In her lacrosse career Caroline was a First-Team All-AAC honoree, an IWLCA All-Region honoree, Named to the AAC All-Academic Team, and broke a Program record with 71 points and 42 goals last season. Before college Caroline was both the State Championship MVP and Team MVP, She also earned the NCHSSAA Sportsmanship Award as well as being named Cap 7 All-Conference and HSOT All-East Team after her senior season.     On today’s episode I am joined by a Graduate Student on the Jacksonville Women’s Lacrosse team Chloe Hoschel. In her career with Jacksonville Chloe has scored three goals with 2 Ground balls, and 1 caused turnover. Before College Chloe was a four year letter-winner and three year starter for her high school lacrosse team, she was named an All-American her senior year and led her team to a State Championship as a captain, Won the state championship, won the Sportsmanship Award Ball, and was also named Defensive MVP and tabbed to the All-Star team her senior year.     Episode 87. Vanessa and Chloe Ronsholdt

    On today’s episode I am joined by Freshman from the Arizona State Women’s Lacrosse team and the Howard Women’s Lacrosse team Vanessa and Chloe Ronsholdt. In Vanessa’s lacrosse career she Earned First Team All-Commonwealth Region honors as a junior after leading her team in goals and draw controls, As a sophomore she was a Second Team All-Region selection, she Helped the Eagles to the 2021 VHSA State Championship game, and she was a All-Star at 2021 The Players Series showcase. In Chloe’s lacrosse career Chloe has earned numerous awards, including First Team All-District (twice), and First Team All-Region (twice). Chloe was also an honor student at Colonial Forge HS. In her lacrosse career Haile was named Little East Conference Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Year, was named Little East Conference Women's Lacrosse Midfielder of the Year, she was Selected to First Team All-Little East Conference Team, was Named to the Director of Athletics Honor Roll, Last season Haile Scored a team-high 58 goals, ranking fourth in the Little East Conference, Haile also Led the team and finished second in the LEC in ground balls and ground balls per game tallying 67 and 4.19.     Episode 85. Annie Marshall

    On today’s episode I am joined by Junior on the John Hopkins Women’s Lacrosse team Annie Marshall. In her lacrosse career Annie earned second Team IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic, CSC Academic All-District, Academic All-Big Ten, and was a Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch. Last season Annie finished with four goals, four assists, six ground balls and 87 draw controls which led the team. Annie’s 87 draws are third most in school single-season history.     On today’s episode I am joined by Senior on the William Smith Women’s Lacrosse team Maddie Montgomery. In her lacrosse career Maddie was the IWLCA Midfielder of the Year, was on the IWLCA All-American first team, was on the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America first team, was the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year, on the All-Liberty League first team, was on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, was on the Liberty League All-Academic, won the Marion Harrison Greene '20 Award and the Patricia Price Genovese Lacrosse Award. Right now Maddie holds William Smith's career draw controls record (249), Second on career goals list (206), fourth on career points list (253).     On today’s episode I am joined by Sophomore on the Wagner Women’s Lacrosse team Emily Ryan. Last Season Emily Appeared in 15 games during her first season on Grymes Hill. Tallied four goals, two assists, four ground balls, and 1 caused turnover. Before college Emily was on the Second Team All-Division as a freshman and First Team All-Division as a senior. Before college, Paris Under Armour All America Senior Game, was a 5x Under Armour All America, was on the USA Select U18 team, 2x High school defensive MVP, and was a USA Today Athlete of the Year Nominee.     Episode 80. Taylor Moncman

    On today’s episode I am joined by Senior on the Temple Women’s Lacrosse team Taylor Moncman. This season as a Team Captain Taylor at the time of this recording has 7 ground balls and 7 caused turnovers. Last season Taylor helped to anchor the defensive unit and had a season best three caused turnovers against Delaware, and four ground balls against Vermont. Before College Taylor was a Four-year letter winner for her high school. She started as a freshman and a sophomore, reaching 100 goals her junior year. Taylor Helped lead her team to the district finals and was named First Team All-League her junior year.     On today’s episode I am joined by freshman on the Boston University Women’s Lacrosse team Reilly Walsh. This season Reilly has been one of the top freshmen in the country with five goals, 3 assists, four ground balls, and five caused turnovers. Before college Reilly was a Member of the Division II Lacrosse State Champion team in her senior and junior seasons, she captained her squad her senior year, Was a 2022 Lacrosse All-Scholastic recipient, Played varsity lacrosse all four years, Reilly also played varsity field hockey and ran indoor track all four years, serving as a captain for both her senior year.     On today’s episode I am joined by Senior on the Cornell Women’s Lacrosse team Chloe Maister. Last season Chloe played in all 15 contests with five starts, registering six caused turnovers and three ground balls, she caused a pair of turnovers at Stanford most notably. Before college Chloe was a U.S. Lacrosse All-American selection as a defensive midfielder, she captured first-team all-district honors twice, was a first-team all-county by the Miami Herald and a first-team all-region selection by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel as both a sophomore and junior, earned a spot on the U.S. Lacrosse South Florida National Team in 2018, helped her team to three district crowns, and competed in the U19 England national lacrosse team training camp.     On today’s episode I am joined by former Hofstra Women’s Lacrosse player who is now a Graduate Student at Howard University Kayla Robertson. Last season Kayla started in 12 games and had 10 ground balls and 1 caused turnover. This season she already has 5 ground balls and three caused turnovers at the time of this recording. Kayla is a Dean’s List student, Member of Athletic Director Scholars Academic Honor Roll, CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll recipient, and was on the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.     On today’s episode I sit down with Grad Student on the Duquesne Women’s Lacrosse team Lindsay Newton. In her college lacrosse career Lindsay is a 3x Academic All Big 10 selection and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Before College with Upper St Clair Lindsay Scored more than 100 goals and was named on the First team all-league, she led Panthers to 16-2 record and WPIAL finals appearance in 2019, she was the Team MVP as a junior with team-high in goals and a WPIAL quarterfinal run, Lindsay was also Selected to the 2018 US Lacrosse women's National Tournament representing Western PA.     Episode 74. Coco and Ana Lee Vandiver

    On today’s episode I am joined by Coco and Ana Lee Vandiver. Coco is a Sophomore Defender on the Syracuse Women’s Lacrosse team. Last season Coco played an integral role on the Syracuse defense having 14 Ground Balls, 16 Caused Turnovers, and 2 Draw Controls. This helped Coco make it on the All ACC Freshman team. Ana Lee is a Redshirt Freshman from the Elon Women’s Lacrosse team. In her Lacrosse career Ana played two years of varsity, earning a letter, at McDonogh High School.     On today’s episode I sit down with Grad Student on the Wingate Women’s Lacrosse Team Leah Knowles. In her career Leah was Named to All-SAC First Team, IWLCA All American, SAC Offensive Player of the year, and was the Wingate Female Athlete of the year.     On today’s episode I sit down with Sophomore on the Boston University Women’s Lacrosse team Elle Stevenson. Last Season in 11 games Elle had 2 points and scooped up a ground ball as well causing a turnover. In her lacrosse career Elle is a 2x Nashua Telegraph First Team All-State, As a senior Elle was named an All-American and the Offensive Player of the Year, Received the Saber Nation Athletic Award, and As a junior, named to the Under Armour New Hampshire Highlight team.     On today’s episode I sit down with Grad Student on the Stony Brook Women’s Lacrosse team Charlotte Verhulst. Last season Charlotte Appeared in 19 games Scored 25 goals, added nine assists for 34 points, 20 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers, Possessed 55 draw controls and netted her first career hat trick against William & Mary.     Episode 69. Ava Angello

    On today’s episode I sit down with Sophomore on the John Hopkins Women’s Lacrosse team Ava Angello. Last Season Ava Played all 18 games and totaled 40 goals had 17 ground balls, 30 draws and six caused turnovers. Ava Led team in goals and points (53), ranked third on the team in draw controls. In her lacrosse career Ava was Named a US Lacrosse All-American as a senior, she is a Two-time first team all-league and All-CNY Team, and was Named on the second team all-league after leading her high school team to state runner-up finish.     On today’s podcast I sit down with Junior on the Michigan Women’s Lacrosse team Jillian Smith. Jill is a 2X Tewaaraton Nominee,  was on the First Team All-Big Ten team, the Big 10 all tournament team and the Academic All Big Ten team. Last season Jillian broke the Michigan points record (77) and goals record (65).     On today’s episode of the podcast I am joined by Senior on the Boston University Women’s Lacrosse team Kendall Sims. Last Season Kendall  Scored 12 goals and tallied six assists for 18 points on the season. During Kendall's freshman year she was the Patriot League Rookie of the week twice.     Episode 66. Lydia Dexter

    On today’s episode I sit down with former Saint Joseph's College of Maine Women’s Lacrosse player Lydia Dexter. In her lacrosse career Lydia was GNAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 and was GNAC All-Tournament MVP that year as well. In her final season Lydia had 85 goals for 131 points. This led Lydia to graduate as the program's all-time leader in points (375), points per game (5.77), assists (161), and assists per game (2.48).     On today’s episode I am joined by Junior on the Virginia Tech Women’s Lacrosse team Olivia Vergano. In her lacrosse career Olivia made it on the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2022 and the ACC All-Academic Team that year as well. Olivia was also an Inside Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention. Before College Olivia got the All-Around Outstanding Female Athlete award, made All-County, All-Conference, All-League, and named team MVP, Olivia also Led her team to their first ever Suffolk County Championship.     Episode 64. Hilary Hoover

    On today’s episode I sit down with Cornell Women’s Lacrosse senior Hilary Hoover. In her lacrosse career Hilary was Named to the All-Ivy second team and in her junior year she was 2nd on the team in draw controls. Before college Hilary was a Heather Leigh Albert Award finalist in 2017, was a NEPSAC All-Star in 2017, and was also a two-time FAA League all-star as well being a captain of her field hockey team.     On today’s episode I am joined by Sophomore on the Army Women’s Lacrosse team Brigid Duffy.     Episode 62. Maria Auth

    On today’s episode I sit down with former Penn State Women’s Lacrosse player who is now the assistant coach for the Georgetown Women’s Lacrosse team Maria Auth. In her lacrosse career Maria finished her career with 226 points, which was seventh all-time in program history, and additionally finishing sixth in career goals (160) and 11th in career assists (66). Additionally  Maria led the Nittany Lions in goals (34) and points (46) as a senior and was named to both the All-Big Ten Second Team and the IWLCA All-Region West/Midwest Second Team.     Bonus Episode. Quinn Ferry

    On today’s episode I am joined by Senior on the Boston University Women’s Lacrosse Team Quinn Ferry. Last Season Quinn Started all 18 of BU’s games this season Tied for third-most ground balls this season with 20 Caused four turnovers Scooped up at least one ground ball in 10 games which allowed her to be Patriot League defender of the week back in April. Before College Quinn was a Two-time team captain at CB East, a US Lacrosse Academic All-American, a Two-time Suburban One All-League, a Two-time Under Armour All-America Philly Highlight Team, and an Academic All-American.     Episode 61. Shea Dolce

    On today’s episode I sit down with Sophomore Goalie on the Boston College Women’s Lacrosse team Shea Dolce. Last season Shea posted a 15-3 mark with 128 saves, she was an  Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention, a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention, ACC Freshman of the Year, ACC All-Tournament Team and Most Valuable Player, and led all freshmen in the nation with an 8.84 goals-against average. Before college Shea was the No. 1 goalie and seventh-ranked recruit according to IL Women, Shea was a three-time all-state and all-league honoree, she lettered all four years in lacrosse, soccer and basketball, she was a captain in all three sports, and  all-league second team in basketball.     On today’s episode I sit down with Sophomore on the USF Women’s Lacrosse team Lucy Hankins. Last season Lucy with Butler Picked up 17 ground balls which was second on the team. Before College Lucy was a 5-year varsity starter for Flint Hill, She Totaled 106 ground balls and 52 caused turnovers and was  Awarded the Female Athlete of the Year and Team MVP, Lucy was also a 2018 Virginia State Champion and was a 2x Under Armour All American.     On today’s bonus podcast episode I am joined by Recent Graduate of the William Smith Women’s Lacrosse team Liza Diffley. In her lacrosse career Liza  won the NSCA All-American Strength & Conditioning Athlete of the Year Award, she played a key role in defense that ranked ninth in the nation in scoring defense (6.68 GPG), Had 27 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers and Logged career-high six ground balls and six caused turnovers against Clarkson in her senior year.Liza made it on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and Liberty League All-Academic teams as well.     On today’s bonus podcast I am joined by Junior on the Edgewood Women’s Lacrosse team Emma Raupp. Last season  was Second Team All-NACC, she Started all 15 games scoring 4.67 goals per game which was a NAC best, she led her team with 70 goals, 80 points, and 54 draw controls, Tied for most caused turnovers on the team with 18, Emma  Holds program record for most goals and points in a game with 10 against UW-Stout (April 12), and Emma Recorded a .522 shot percentage and .866 shot on goal percentage which was best among all qualifying players.     On today’s episode I sit down with Grad Student on the Sacred Heart Women’s Lacrosse team Emma Kittredge. In her Lacrosse career Emma was named to the Second Team All-NEC twice and was Selected to NEC All-Tournament Team. Last season Emma Scored 49 points on 39 goals and 10 assists as well as picking up 16 ground balls, winning 12 draw controls and causing five turnovers as she Earned the NEC Offensive Player of the Week back in Febuary. Before College Emma had 11 combined varsity letters in lacrosse, field hockey and track. She Two-time All-League lacrosse, Named Team MVP in both lacrosse and track in 2019, Captained the Somers lacrosse team in her senior year, and Helped lift Somers to a league lacrosse title in 2017. In 2023 Emily helped her team to a final four appearance tallying up 47 goals and 12 assists, and 31 draw controls. Before College Emily was the Recipient of the Hope Kerr Coaches Award and Female Athlete of the Year Award in 2021 and Led her team to a Group 4 championship in 2019 & 2020, County championship in 2019, and a state championship in 2020. Last Season Katie Recorded 11 ground balls and eight caused turnovers on the year, helped the Hawks to a shutout win against George Mason, the first in program history, and had a season-best two caused turnovers against Richmond. Katie is a three year letterwinner in lacrosse at Notre Dame Prep. Last season Lisa led her team with 26 assists which was sixth-most in program history in a season.     On today’s episode of the Draw Control Podcast we sit down Shannon Brazier who recently graduated from Cornell and played lacrosse there for the past four years. This summer Shannon transferred to Clemson to play there for her grad year. In her career Olivia was the 2022 Atlantic East Conference Player of the Year, Named First-Team All-AEC, Earned 2022 All-Metro Region Second Team honors, and Led the conference with 105 points 104 draw controls and ranked second or third in the conference with 74 goals, 42 assists, 66 ground balls, and 33 caused turnovers.
