Thank goodness I grew up in the decade I did. My high school grades were not available online for my mom to just check on anytime she wants. Now that my girls are in school, I get to see first hand how they do grades and it's just a flat out joke and ridiculous. Yeah back to back rants to kick start the new season

I'm back baby! After taking some time off to focus on broadcasting some high school baseball, it's time to rant! Yeah I wrote down some things that have been going on and top of that list how expensive everything is today. Like LITERALLY everything. Throughout the episode I make multiple references about being told it's raining.  You're gonna want to listen to this one!

Season Finale is here!!! Today is a special episode as the passing of my NaNa was 1 year ago.  Today I honor my Nana, which she would have hated, but it's not just me. I have on my cousin Lindsay, who was even closer to her than I was. Also, for the 1st time ever we recorded the show on location!!! We recorded at my cousin's bar Two Headed Dog! Yeah my cousin owns a bar! We share some great stories and memories we have with her. This is a long episode but I hope you listen all the way through.  I hope this is a reminder that you never how much time you have with the people you care about and love. We were lucky enough to have over 40 years with our NaNa. So be sure you tell the person you love or care about, that you love and care about them! We'll be back in about a month or so with all new episodes!

Lent is here and people are giving up certain things for 40 days. Even if it's not a part of their religion, they are still doing it. I discuss what I might give up if I did Lent.  Also what song is the most likely to get you pulled over in the car while driving? The list is very wrong. I close out with someone suing Buffalo Wild Wings over BONELESS WING verbiage!!! Yep a rant closes out the episode!  

With Valentines Day this weekend, I discuss something I heard on the radio. When you meet someone for the first time, do you dress and act like yourself or are you fake? A guy decided to be fake and add more inches. Yeah MORE INCHES!!! It's not what you think..... or is it??? Have to listen to find out! 

Do you have an AI Girlfriend? Know someone who does? If so are you saying really???? So much talk of AI and now people have AI girlfriends and it's just sad.  I discuss how this generation and how they approach dating. Also add a mini rant about how there are TO many podcasts out there and how they now give you a Golden Globe for one. Think I have a chance to win?

At one point my dream was to be on Sportcenter and be like Stuart Scott. That dream shifted when I got to college. I talk about the road to NOT achieving that dream and how it's ok to not achieve a dream you have.  This is my story of not achieving my dream and how that came to be and why I'm ok with it. 

Stranger Things came to an end on New Years Eve. I discuss the ending so spoilers if you haven't seen it. Also, I go on a little rant about the negativity surrounding the ending because, why not :)

The end of 2025 is here! For me personally it couldn't come fast enough. If you've listened to the last few episodes this year, you know why. I take a look back at a few things that happened this year. The funny, sad, and just oh lord here we go moments. Enjoy and Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone!  This week I discuss the hiatus of the show from April till now.  And since I didn't want this episode to be a sad episode, I talk about Christmas with my family over the years and how my mom talked shit one time about a game she bought me and the results of that game and much more!

The 100th was so big, I had to split it up!  This is part 2 of my conversation with my best friend B.J. Johnson. We pick up the conversation talking about his truck.  Then transition over to the pretty neighbors we had when I moved in across the street. Along with a great sneaking out story, the family summer trips, our favorite bar Corner Pocket, a hatchet incident, and what happened to a radio the night before floating the river. 

Still can't believe it. This is THE 100th episode of the show! Never imagined making this episode when I launched the podcast on Jan. 1st, 2020, but here we are! I couldn't just do any old episode, so I decided to bring on one of my best friends to share stores from childhood through adulthood.  We talked about our earliest memories of meeting each other, 6th grade and how that was a shit show, when my family moved across the street from him, and of course crazy driving stories.

Only 1 episode away from 100!! We hit 99 episodes of the show! Can you believe it? I know I can't but I couldn't be more excited to finally get to episode 99. We all know I like to throw in a good rant now and again on this show. Well for 99 and to close out the season, I go on a rant! Oh but not just 1 rant. Oh no no no, one rant just won't due! I got on 3 rants!!! So listen to these rants to close out the season as I prepare to unleash episode 100 sometime this summer!!

It never fails, Daylight Saving Time, not Savings apparently, comes and people just want to bitch, and bitch, and bitch about it.  So much so they basically contradict themselves in my view.  Time for another rant! See what I did there? :) 

Friends! How many of us have them?? FRIENDS!!! Ok did you sing that line? Of course you did!  A few weeks back it was National Make a New Friend Day or something like that. When you're an adult with kids, it's hard to make new friends that don't involve your kids friends parents.  Or is it? I discuss it!

Social Media is just ridiculous now. Like seriously! So many scam accounts out there tricking people into giving away money. Then sites where they post ghost jobs that don't exist or have been filled for years. Time to rant!!!

We have been on a small hiatus because we had another unexpected event happen in the family. We lost my NaNa, my mom's mother, and it has been rough with how we lost my mother just 4 months ago. I share some stories of my NaNa and how much she meant to me. 

Well it finally happened, I'm an old man! I talk about the Super Bowl Halftime show with Kendrick Lamar and how I was clearly not the demographic. Guess I need to start yelling at folks, "To Get Off My Lawn!!!" 

You know who was popular? Not this guy, let me tell you that! I discuss why having a lot of friends does not make you popular. My wife keeps trying to tell me I was in high school. I also share about the group of friends I had in high school and the name we called ourselves. Trust me, you will want to hear all about it

They are trying to do away with Movie Trailers?? Some douche Politian in Connecticut is trying to do that basically. Also, word to the wise, don't fight out in below freezing temperatures WITH OUT PANTS! Something might get stuck to the ground 

Tiktok went away! Oh wait then it came back? I discuss all that nonsense along with other things relating to this platform. I brag on my wife who did an amazing thing this past weekend and I have 2 of the cutest, possibly greatest guests ever, to help open the show! 

All my ex's live in Texas! Ok not all of them but about 98% do. Heard a question on my radio morning show I listen to. I talk about should you tell your husband/wife/fiancé if a friend of yours is starting to hang around a lot more and it was someone you use to date? I talk about my ex's and also share a fun driving to the new job traffic story

5 years!!! 5 years ago I embarked on this journey of doing this podcast. I look back on the pat 5 years and all that has happened in those 5 years. Also I have some big news on the job hunt!

Hardest episode I ever recorded. I talk about the passing of my mother after she lost her battle with breast cancer.  

Why is it so hard to be in a relationship now a days? It's not that difficult, or maybe it is, to just be open and honest and WORK with each other. Now before you assume anything, no my marriage is just fine. In fact, it's great because we actually COMMUNICATE with each other! Good, bad, or different.  Today though, you have to set guidelines or expectations before getting in a relationship and demand they be ok with it.  I discuss this nonsense so enjoy! 

It's time to share some stories!! This week I decide to share a fun, well fun to me, story about the time we went on vacation to a place called Neal's Lodges. This was a time where there were no cell phones, no texting, no video recording everything you did, and just a whole lot of shenanigan's for some teenagers.  Hope you enjoy! 

Seems like everyday people are getting scammed. Well sadly there is a new scam out there. This one has to do with houses and porn. Yeah you read that right. On top of all that so many dumb ads about all the politics. No I don't talk politics on this show but I do talk about the dumbass ads and why they are annoying. So you got scams, porn, and political ads this week. This might just be my best or worse episode yet. Take a listen and you decide 

Back for a whole new season!!! No better way to kick things off than with my daughters Emma and Claire. They really wanted to record an episode with me so I figured why not?! I do this for them anyway so I decided to have some fun with them on the show. I also talk about my job searching since I was laid off. Enjoy the kick off for season 6 as we approaching 100 episodes!!! 

Well something I've never experienced before has finally happened. NO not that, get your mind out of the gutter! I was laid off from my job. The position I had was terminated and because of that, I ended up losing my job. I talk about my feelings about the whole thing, which trust me, I'm not reacting the way you think I would be reacting to this whole thing. I even take it ALLLLL the way back to when I quit my job 4 years ago, which you can catch that episode to, it's called I Quit.

Season Finale, which means time for some rants! So much going on that just makes you go what? Southwest no longer doing open seating? USA Today and their ridiculous list of top fast food chains. Everything being taken over by celebrities/famous people. Going out with a bang so tune in! 

Only took 24 years but Y2K finally arrived! The world, for the most part, shut down when there was in issue with Microsoft. I mean it was a cluster fuck!! Also, with a certain President bowing out of the election we are going to have to endure even worse forms of clipping! I talk about that a few more things. Next week will end this season before we take a few month hiatus so enjoy!!

Man leave it to a Hurricane to cause things to go bat shit sideways! I talk about going through Hurricane Beryl and how common sense, once again, just fails when it comes to big companies. Also mention, not going into detail on the politics of it all, Trump being shot and how that just added to the shit storm that we will see over the next 4 months.  After having to take a week off because of the hurricane, I'm back with more takes on dumb shit happening! 

It was bound to happen. Time to get "canceled" for the things I say. Ok, of course that's not the case, or maybe, but either way I talk about the ridiculousness that the younger generation tries to cancel people. It's getting really out of hand and I go on a pretty good rant. So feel free to decide if you agree with me or disagree with me. Either way, I will still like you, unlike the younger generation. They will disown you if you don't agree with them.  Yeah I said and I say a lot more this week. Enjoy! 

AI is taking over!! No seriously, it's taking over! I talk about my little experience with AI and how I was like NOPE! Also right before recording I saw some things about streaming that I decided to share. Basically how it's ridiculous and is basically a more of a headache now. Also have a few side tangents about CEO's of companies. Enjoy! 

Ever found yourself in a situation.....sorry I meant a situationship? Yeah you read that correctly, a situationship! You're not in a relationship but just causally dating. That's the new term people are using now a days and it's catching on. I talk about this nonsense and what it REALLY means. Also talk about Father's Day weekend in the Gentile household

It's been 11 weeks since our last show. After taking some time off, it's time to catch up! Talk about my youngest "graduation" from Pre-K and that nonsense, dad turning 70, 8 years married and hosting our 2nd annual adult swim! I got a few things on the mind that I will be discussing this season as well. AI, Situationships, the Tom Brady Roast, #blockout224 dumb shit, and clipping. It's going to be a good season! 

Season finale is here and it falls on the 75th episode!! I was going to end the season talking about my friend Bethany with some of our mutual friends. However, that didn't pan out, at least not yet. That episode will happen though! I decided to end the season talking directly to my daughters about how they should never be who other people want them to be. To always be themselves and don't let others dictate who they are as a person.  A lot of thoughts and opinions on the internet and social media as a whole and how those things effect kids when they think they need to be someone else. Thank you to everyone that has listened this season! Excited to start season 5 at some point this summer! 

Oh come on! You know it's true! Kids are so damn cute, but man are they assholes! It's time to bring back the topic that was the 2nd episode ever of this show! I talk about how my kids, now older than they were 4 years ago, are so damn cute but man they are assholes sometimes! Because it's 4 years later, it's happening more! AHHH! Oh and if you are an adult, without kids, and have an opinion on it.....well I got some choice words for you *wink wink*

Who doesn't love the 90's? I mean so much of the 90's has been making it's way back, so why not talk about it. Of course there are certain things from the 90's that we will never see again. I talk about those things and just how great the 90's were to grow up in. I also got a NEW TOY!!! That's right the 1st 5 minutes were fun to record. I hope you make it past those 5 minutes to enjoy the episode! 

This is getting ridiculous. Like seriously, what the actual F? This episode/topic I really didn't want to talk about.  However, after certain events happening on a national level and locally in my city, I just felt the need to get this certain thing off my chest. This was not an easy topic to talk about but trust me, there was some anger, passion, and a lot of frustration in my voice this week.

Oh VD, how you just always come around. Oh calm down I'm talking Valentine's Day, not that VD.  This week I discuss this ridiculous holiday and my feelings and thoughts around it. 

Yeah so this weeks episode as a lot to do with, well.....nothing! Sorry, I actually didn't have anything to really discuss this week. I had just gotten home from being out of town doing a recruiting trip on the campus of University of Texas. So I wasn't able to prepare anything.  Just like working out, you don't skip leg day, I don't skip out on doing an episode! Even if I don't have anything prepared!  So sit back and relax for almost 25 minutes of me just talking about my recruiting trip, the excitement of not having kids this past weekend and a few other things. Enjoy!  

AI has taken over! Down the yellow brick, ok not so much yellow brick but down the rabbit hole I go!  I kick off the show talking about my frustations about paying my HOA. I hate HOA's then I go into scams you now see on TV from people saying they can tell you if you are going to Heaven or Hell. I close out the show talking about AI now creating girlfriends for people!  This shit is getting out of control! Listen to hear how bad it's gotten! Like the title says, I'm talking HOA, Scams, and AI, OH F'ing MY! 

To discipline, or not to discipline, seems to always be the hot button question. Not in this house! My kid acts up, you best believe I will discipline them! Teacher says, your kid was doing X, Y, and Z, I will believe the teacher. I talk about my oldest for the first time acting up in school, and it wasn't really that bad but still had to shut it down. Also ended up being SUPER side tracked and talking about by sub teaching days. I share 2 stories of when I subbed high school and how I thought we were so screwed as a society because of what happened.  Let's just say, those kids now, are in their 20's. Yeah. Enjoy the episode! 

Working 9-5! Sing it Dolly! Well don't sing it toward Gen Z or the younger generation. A few months back a young lady went on Tik Tok and complained about her 9-5 job right out of college.  It was very split down the middle with the reaction it got. I talk about who really failed in this situation and also break down some of the things she complains about.  Come on and take a listen because we are complaining 9-5!!

Sometimes you just want to say something to your kids, not that you actually would but you want to. I kick off this episode talking about what that is. Also I look back on what happened in 2023, Matthew Perry dying, massive technology layoffs, nepotism nonsense, and of course what changed with the Gentiles in 2023 and myself. Check it out!

I dive into the reason why I'm here doing this again for my girls. Take a listen because it's not just a "just because" reason. For the 1st time in years, St. Patrick's Day was celebrated by the Gentiles! I talk about our experience going to a St. Patrick's Day Party in downtown Houston along with running into our good friend Billy Parker. Which I will say it is NEVER a dull moment with him around! 

Ever have someone tell you how you should be? How you should dress? How you should talk? How you should act? I discuss that others opinions of how you should be should not dictate and control your life. I share how I have had to deal with those things my whole life, and still till this day.

My interview with Suzan Nguyen will not be airing this week. We recorded our episode at her Connecting with the Community event, but I made a mistake when recording and our audio was not usable. I am highly upset and disappointed in myself.  Instead of not putting out an episode, I decided to own up to my mistake and apologize to Suzan and everyone that came to this show for that interview. That's what this show is all about, real life, and in real life we make mistakes.
