Recorded live inside Music Bar At En in New York City, The Josh Craig provides a celestial listening experience. In true hi fidelity fashion, En houses vintage turntables, a rotary mixer, Westminster speakers and a Macintosh amp with VU meters flashing all the while guests enjoy the finest Japanese delicacies tapping their feet as the music plays. Carrying tradition of the Japanese listening format, founder Reika Alexander is one for quality music that can stand the test of time. With that in mind, The Josh Craig ventured deep into his record collection to create the perfect Jazz soundtrack for the evening. From laid back to upbeat to funk in the trunk, this is a joyous display of appreciation for music. In describing the music he says "Soulful live music is Jazz. The tone is the message. 2 hours of some deep cuts that highlight pocket and melody is always well spent with a bag of records I love to get down with. Since the bands featured in these albums were all dressed up on stage, I reached out to Vestium for the 'Electric Blue' suit which is a play on Shades Of Blue album by Madlib." Monday's resident Sushi & Vinyl party at Studio 151 is always a vibe. Packed wall to wall with some of New York City's most well renowned creatives. There's sushi being made in the back and DJ's rocking the Condesa mixer in the front. This however was a particularly rare night as there haven't been many guest DJ's featured at the party. Knowing that, The Josh Craig went deep in his record collection for the songs he felt represented the sound of nightlife in NYC. From the 1st track he played everyone knew they were in for a treat. You can hear the needle damn near flying off the record as the dance floor was electrically filed with dancers jumping up and down colliding with the booth letting themselves go to the music. A special night in a very special place. The Josh Craig took it to a new level bringing his signature funky TJCTAKEOVER sound to his favorite vinyl bar in Manhattan. "I just wanted to give the people a night to remember. While listening back to the recording I was like oh man this sounds rough! But the energy of the night and the feeling of being in a NYC disco at midnight was too much to care about distortion or needle skips. So I left it as is. @thejoshcraig traveled down to Washington DC leaving his hardware filled NYC recording studio for a special night in one of his favorite nightclubs in the country, Flash DC. The dance floor was packed. The sound system was pumpin. The people were beautiful and jackin to every beat. 2+ hrs of Soulful Techno, Deep House, Acid and Electro mixed seamlessly. With a few unreleased original tracks plus some Detroit classics and international bombs sprinkled throughout the night, this is one of those mixes you play over and over again.  The opening track RISE N SHINE is a solid house cut with some dirty flips. The drum programming is so pure. The bass lines are amazing as The Josh Craig is known for bringing the live performance element to his sequencing and recording process. 

 Following up with a chemical waste field of a track that will blow your speakers if you push it to far is ES MUY SPECIAL. This is is a smooth alley cat type of song. Heavy Bass. Spaced out chords. Wacky sound fx. You love it.
