Many times our vision and beliefs are driven more by what's happening to us than the vision within us. Despite our challenges, we weren't built to fail in accomplishing all that God purposed for us to do. That said, how do we continue when things get hard, and how do we know we will overcome? The goal of the Merge podcast is to provide everyday encouragement to inspire people to help others, and to examine Biblical scriptures together to understand how they apply to everyday living while celebrating the messages they bring.

Many examine the world around them as strangers & aliens rather than neighbors. Subsequently, the things we care about and get involved with is limited to what is best for us. The challenge is that if we have God with us as we live for him, should our circles of care expand beyond their current limits? Listen for today's encouragement.

Have you ever found yourself trying to make sense of what seems like random events in your life, or you try to find the cause to difficult situations so you can make the necessary change to prevent their reoccurrence? Many of us have grown up reading stories of “happily ever after” where the hero comes thru unscathed, or never has a moment of uncertainty during the journey. But when we think of real life heroes and heroines like Martin Luther King Jr, John Kennedy, or Fannie Lou Hamer, their lives were actually filled with tremendous challenges and moments of doubt that don’t seem to fit the story of fearless leaders that we’ve come to know them by. I believe the road to being chosen or living a purposeful life is bound to be filled with twists & turns because it’s in those twists & turns that we find our own limitations & God’s power & purpose for us most clearly.  In this episode, we explore how to think about turns in the road.
