How much more are you spending and how much is the commission that these services take?Amazon tops Kantar BrandZ’s list of the world’s 100 most valuable brands for the third year in a row, as a host of global businesses bounce back with a vengeance despite the trials of lockdown.Apple follows in second place ($611bn, up 74%), with Google claiming third place ($458bn, up 42%) from now fourth-placed Microsoft ($410.3bn, up 26%).For the first time this year, Chinese brands outnumber their European counterparts, with US and Chinese companies now accounting for 88% of the top 100.     Naomi Osaka withdrew from the French Open this week after she refused to speak to the media to help improve her own mental health. There has been a lot of support, criticism and discussion around the way the whole situation was handled by Naomi, The French Open and the Media. We discuss whether the media are the ones to blame? The 23-year-old had earlier been fined $15,000 (£10,600) by the tournament referee and threatened with exclusion from Roland Garros and future majors for declining to face the media after her first-round match on Sunday.     On this week’s Most Ridiculous Marketing Podcast we deep dive into racism in sport. Given the recent Gillette campaign with Raheem Sterling, “Made of What Matters” we look at how Raheem, one of England’s brightest football talents in this generation has been crucified by the national press over his performances, personal life, tattoos and family. A football star who has been slandered and made out to be a terrible role model by our national press, and has come out the other side, to be seen as a figurehead in the nation for fighting prejudice and racism.     Big news this week as notorious ‘commentator’ Katie Hopkins recovers from being pranked by YouTuber Josh Pieters for an award that doesn’t actually exist. Katie Hopkins who calls herself the biggest bitch in Britain was banned and blocked from Twitter last week and at the same time became victim to one of the sweetest pranks on YouTube, flying all the way to Prague to be awarded the “Campaign to Unify the Nation Trophy.” KFC and Pizza Hut teamed up to create a new pizza, popcorn chicken, sweet corn and a gravy base.
