Episode 64: Death to the Good Girl

Welcome to episode 2 of my 7 episode series where I interview seasoned practitioners in the psychedelic space. Alana Varel, dubbed the Underground Mama is a very experienced guide that shines light on the good girl programing that most women in their 30s, 40s and 50s are working to deprogram. Episode 63: Ecstasy for Couples

In this episode, I sit down with psychotherapist Jonathan Robinson, author of Ecstasy for Couples, to explore how MDMA is revolutionizing couples therapy. With 40 years as an underground therapist and over 700 guided journeys under his belt, Jonathan shares how he condenses two years of traditional marital therapy into a single five-hour session without the blame, shame, or complaining.Jonathan explains his protocol: a prep session over Zoom, a five-hour interactive therapy journey (also on Zoom, which creates an extra layer of safety), and integration sessions to lock in the changes. The magic? The walls drop, ego defenses dissolve, and couples can finally see each other clearly again either healing their relationship or consciously uncoupling with love and rationality instead of war.The bottom line? Happiness comes down to the quality and quantity of your relationships. And investing in becoming a better partner impacts your health, finances, confidence, and life force energy. Whether you've been together six months or sixteen years, this episode offers a roadmap for accessing the love that's been buried under years of thousand little cuts.Free resources, 12 questions for instant intimacy, and life-changing relationship medicine await.XTCasMedicine.com MDMAtraining.net.  XTCforCouples.netListener discretion is advised: This podcast discusses sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, addiction and psychedelic therapy, which may be sensitive or triggering for some listeners.  I encourage listeners to engage mindfully and take care of themselves throughout the conversation.Connect with Bijou FinneyIG: @mushroommamasitaWebsite: mushroommamasita.com

    Episode 62: Personal Trip Report

In this deeply vulnerable solo episode, I share the most personal trip report to date. I open up about intentionally going into a cocoon at the beginning of 2026 allowing myself to dive deep to touch the bottom of my grief instead of endlessly treading water. I was able to explore why I think our society has stripped us of our humanness, forcing artists and creators alike to produce faster than the soul can sustain, leaving no room for natural cycles of death and rebirth. Because of astrology I knew something was coming for all of us. Everything in my life changed this year and will continue to change for the collective. The mushrooms really held me through my alchemical process and I share the wisdom and assignment I extracted from my most recent healing journey with them. This episode is about grief and joy existing simultaneously. It's about having the courage to claim what you truly want instead of settling for what feels safe. The mushrooms showed me that we can be walking medicine, and our fully expressed human experience is art that heals the planet. The next three years will be wild, and the best preparation is to root down into yourself, know yourself, and never let anything make you question how powerful you are.Connect with Bijou FinneyIG: @mushroommamasitaWebsite: mushroommamasita.com

Episode 61: How Stella Got Her Sparkle Back

In this episode my guest shares her journey from growing up in a chaotic, conservative Texas household to discovering her most powerful, sparkly self in midlife. Raised between a racist mother's house and a fundamentalist church, she spent her 20s following the "supposed to" path from college, marriage, to corporate job. The turning point came when she learned to give herself the stability she'd always craved, stopped bowing to societal programming, and embraced her authentic, whimsical self.We get into the lies women are told about midlife, "it's the end of your prime, that you're used up and invisible." We reveal the secret truth: midlife is the greatest gift nobody talks about. It's when you cut soul-sucking jobs, friends, and partners from your life and give yourself permission to be fully, unapologetically YOU. This episode is a rallying cry for women to reject the narrative that they're past their prime and instead embrace the rebellion, power, and pure magic of becoming more yourself with every passing year. Episode 60: Healing the Divide

Join us on this episode of the Mushroom Mamasita Podcast as we sit down for an intimate conversation about the war between masculine and feminine energy and how to end it. As society pits men against women, right against left, and all races against each other, this episode offers a roadmap for healing the deepest wound in modern relationships: the lack of mutual respect. We explored both sides of the divide and discuss how women struggle to respect men who haven't been initiated into true masculine power, while simultaneously keeping good men small by refusing to surrender or acknowledge their efforts out of fear of being hurt. My guest shares his personal heartbreak of showing up daily for his partner being loyal, vulnerable, doing the work yet feeling like he represents everything wrong with men in her eyes, no matter what he does. I think many men might be able to resonate with his perspective.Together, we unpack the feminine spectrum (maiden, mother, wild woman, crone) and why women stuck in "mother mode" burn out while their men stay jesters instead of becoming kings. We end on the ultimate truth: both partners must risk everything, put down their trauma armor, and come to the table with radical vulnerability if they want to experience real love. This conversation is a call to action for both men and women to stop living through the filter of trauma, to see each other as inner child AND higher self, and to co-create the epic love that's possible when two people finally choose courage over comfort. It's terrifying. It's necessary. And it might just save your relationship and the world. Yes it's really that deep.Listener discretion is advised: This podcast discusses sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, addiction and psychedelic therapy, which may be sensitive or triggering for some listeners.  I encourage listeners to engage mindfully and take care of themselves throughout the conversation.Connect with BijouIG: @mushroommamasitaWebsite: mushroommamasita.com

Episode 59: When Life Gives You Lemon Tek

In this delightful episode of the Mushroom Mamasita Podcast my guest shares her unexpected path from a sheltered, anti-drug upbringing to a life-changing solo mushroom experience in her backyard pool. Growing up in a household where all drugs were feared and demonized, she spent 30+ years slowly opening her mind, from trying cannabis at 18 to finally putting out the intention to work with mushrooms in the right time and place. We take time to explore what happened when the universe delivered: a perfect summer day, a safe home, a divine playlist she'd been curating for years, and mushrooms that arrived at exactly the right moment. She shares the profound messages she received about being a channel for love, the importance of accepting both light and shadow without shame, and how disconnection from nature mirrors our disconnection from ourselves. We discuss the collective shadow work happening on the planet, the power of integration over separation, and why self-love isn't frivolous, it's revolutionary. This episode is a beautiful reminder that mushrooms meet you exactly where you are, that the right set and setting changes everything, and that sometimes the universe has been preparing you for the journey long before you even knew you were ready. Episode 58: Written in the Stars

In this episode of the Mushroom Mamasita Podcast, Rachel shares her powerful transformation from a decade of substance-fueled disconnection to a life guided by mushroom medicine, astrology, and radical self-acceptance. Beginning at age 15, Rach spent nearly ten years using alcohol and drugs to escape herself, living for others that eventually led her to a breaking point at 25.We explore what happened when Rach finally said yes to the universe's whispers and ultimately discovered her own path to becoming a healer. We discuss the challenges and gifts of group ceremony versus one-on-one medicine work, the importance of proper integration, and how some experiences require us to be completely broken open before we can rebuild.Rach reveals how astrology became another key to understanding herself and her patterns, and how the combination of "stars and mushrooms" catalyzed her complete transformation. The conversation centers on a profound truth: that self-love isn't a destination but a continuous journey, and that doing the inner work first allows the universe to bring you the right mirrors and community to reflect your true self back to you.
