Porn In The USA with Chessie Kay

I caught up with Chessie Kay to present the award for Best Female Performer at the UKAP AWards 2015 as she was unable to make the event for working in the US where she talks about the work she was doing and it was a little unusual to say the least Murder porn, BBC cuckoldry and kidnap scenarios arent the sort of things that will get past our AVMS regulations in the UK so therefore its none too surprising to find UK talent doing this in other parts of the world like Europe and the USA. Its not as bad as it sounds. We discussed what winning the award means to her and the importance Twitter has for models working in the adult biz. We talked about the impact working in the adult business has on friends and family. Chessies situation is by no means unique but certainly interesting and this episode offers an insight into what influenced her look. We also talked about the ideal age to get into the adult business, a view that is shared by some who know the business over a period of time in it. To quote Chessie: "There's more to porn than just sex" sums this up well. This is the link to the video referred to in the podcast https://youtu.be/UV40e-78dNw

Ella Hughes UKAP Award Winner 2015

She's been in the adult business 8 months and missed the UKAP Awards to work on the hit HBO series Game Of Thrones which is a good excuse as any. Ella Hughes won the award for Best Female Newcomer at The UKAP Awards 2015. Here she explains what winning this award means to her and why she was unable to attend the event filming for Game Of Thrones in Ireland and talks about how she crossed over into mainstream adult from a fetish spanking lifestyle and where she wants to be in the next two years.

    VeriMe Age Verification Service

Vince Charlton explains what the ASACP (Association Of Sites Advocating Child Protection) is and what it does in tandem with the RTA label in how it works with parental controls in preventing minors from seeing innappropriate content on the internet See www.asacp.org for more information. UKAP convene with guests at a general meeting to share feedback on the APN /ATVOD roundtable meeting at St James Theatre that was well attended despite a recording of that meeting was removed where those who were present discussed the subject of Age Verification. The meeting was important as it allowed the adult business to participate in consulting with those who involved with regulation & legislation without to ensure they were heard and any issues that needed addressing. The turnout showed the adult business were prepared to support age verification. The conversation includes plus and minus points of age verification and the problems arising from its implementation before Rudd Apsey discusses where VeriMes age verification system sits in all this and talks about the service that works with mobile phone technology as well as the cost per transaction and a step by step description of how the service works and answers questions about the service. Age Verification Discussion With UKAP

Ahead of his meeting on July 2nd 2015 with the Adult Providers Network and Age Verification Vendors pitching their services and what it can do for the adult industry, Chris Ratcliffe (head of TVX) explains his involvement with The Digital Policy Alliance that saw those in the adult industry covene with parliamentarians to discuss the needs and requirements of an industry that a previous roundtable meeting with ATVOD made it clear by its successful turnout and support that the adult business is here to stay and wants to take responsibility for the services it provides to adults Its worth bearing in mind when Age Verification is mandated, it will encompass a wide range of adult services, from cam sites, to dating including the whole spectrum of adult services beyond that where age verification is required ie buying knives, cigarettes, alcohol online. The most important part of these two pivotal meetings is that a cross section of the adult business community showed support by engaging in discussion to provide understanding in this area whereas if there was no interest, the rules would have been made up in our absence which does the adult business no favours An example of this making the rules up without consultation can be seen with ATVODs recent AVMS Regulations which effected a protest led by Charlotte Rose last December. Once a law is passed nto legislation it is hard to reverse Here Chris talks talks with members of UK Adult Producers and listens to first hand experiences of those dealing with age verification, bringing up points that need to be addressed to those providing services in this sector to seek a simple and effective solution that guarantees and maintains anonymity to the consumers of adult services without the need for a database Follow Chris Ratcliffe on @TVXBoss @APNUK www.adultprovidernetwork.co.uk UK Adult Producers on www.ukadultproducers.org and @UKAPHQ Digital Policy Alliance @DPAlliance www.dpalliance.org.uk

    Top Of The Babes

Top Of The Babes started out as a hobby to engage the fans with the girls on the form of a Top 30 format reminiscent of a famous 80's pop music TV show until Rah, its curator, brought the idea to a UK Adult Producers meeting where I spotted its potential as a marketing tool independent of our voting system In the interests of transparency, Rah explains what Top Of The Babes is all about and why as a model you should get involved if you are in the UK adult business. Awards done well are a good way to invigorate interest as well as spotlight potential and existing stars for producers to consider for pojects. It's not about the winning of awards in as much as its being seen at an event networking and building on a fan base. Kaz B is oh hand to offer input on social networking and its advantages in getting work and populating a fan base, the pros and cons of social working as a prmotional tool for financial success The conversations offer insight into the awards as well as the plus and minuses of previous years events. Kaz offers her opinion on the recent UKAP meeting and the perils of impostors posing as producers on social networks is discussed and how models can can protect themselves. Harmony Films Director/ Editor: Scarlett Revell

Scarlett tells us how she got into directing and editing for Harmony Films, techniques in setting up scenes and how she deals with those rare moments when talent cant "rise to the occasion" How did such a young talented woman with no intention of getting into the adult business acquire the skills to work for a premiere division adult production company in the UK? She tells us how and much more. Why parental education is better than state imposed censorship and cites this from personal experience. Female producers are on the rise despite the backlash of moral panics and radical feminism claiming women are exploited in the sex business so it is refreshing that Scarlett is not just talented and beautiful but speaks about her work with enthusiasm, intelligence and passion that is seen in her movies such like Dani Daniels Girl Perversions and her first movie Mind F**k are just some in the list of what she has done for Harmony Films. She is qualified to edit to industry broadcast standard and has a keen eye for style that puts her movies a cut above the usual fare in the world market. We talked about a lot, from porn sex vs real sex, radical feminists, kinky sexual practices and UK law. How great porn stars don't always make for good lovers and nor does great looks make you sexy and more. If you want to get into the business then listen to this podcast for some good tips and hints into how adult films are made. You can follow Scarlett on Twitter @ScarlettRevell

    UKAP on EPP

With all that's been going on with porn on the Internet and the recent changes in the law making certain types of sex acts and fetishes illegal would it have made sense for the authorities to engage the adult industry with open discussion on the topic? One person who is and founded the Ethical Porn Partnership is Nichi Hodgson who is an author and journalist and as talked about this project before http://thenakedtruthpodcast.podomatic.com/entry/2014-04-05T05_56_39-07_00 . Here she discusses with UKAP (UK Adult Producers) at a meeting in November 2014 to address the issue of self regulation which offered a rare insight into what a cross section of the UK business thought. UKAP membership ranges from the amateur entrepreneur, indie model producers to semi pro and high end professional. The general meetings are attended by a diverse selection of sexual freedom and anti censorship campaigners, activists and legal representatives. Some of those in attendance were Charlotte Rose, Oscar Storm, Zara DuRose, Terry Stephens(aka One Eyed Jack aka @nakedtruthguy) as well as models Angel Long and Chloe Lovette with Jerry Barnett from www.sexandcensorship.org and Myles Jackman @ObscenityLawyer and Charlotte Rose who spear headed the recent face sitting protest on Parliament. SWISH claim that if they can't help you then they can steer you in the direction of someone who can and were very helpful with advice on making the illusive "centralised testing" a reality should anyone want to resurrect the project. Urban Chick Supremacy Cell vs ATVOD

Big shout out to Jerry Barnett of Sex & Censorship and Itziko Urrutia of Urban Chick Supremacy Cell, the site that challenged ATVOD (the Authority for Television On Demand) who, upon losing have changed tactics from the failed "television like" defence to the all encompassing Audio Visual Media Services act (AVMS regulations) that passed into law on December 1st. If you think protesting against a government quango is pointless then consider that Itziko, rather than submit willingly and comply to the letter she received from ATVOD sought legal representation to appeal against them and won! Here they discuss aspects that precipitated the appeal that has forced some site owners to close down or sign up to ATVOD whose main remit was to regulate mainstream TV and online commercial broadcast interests and another to go off the range and suppress niche sites that are not available in plain sight that has to be paid for to access its content. Itzikos case proves that standing up against ATVOD with a strong defence gives you a good chance of winning. Follow Jerry Barnett @PornPanic and Myles Jackman @ObscenityLawyer

AVMS (Audio Visual Media Services) Regulations 2014

Terry Stephens and Ben Yates talk about the AVMS Regulations that come into legal effect on December 1st and what it means to the adult content producing community in the UK and what to expect if you are non compliant within the R18 guidelines. We talk about the pros and cons of age verification services and muse on other related topics DISCLAIMER My criticism of OBJECTs successful campaign banning Julien Blancs Pick Up Artist seminars referring to Julien Blanc being "an arse hole" is in regards to his seminars and not a direct attack on the man as a person. Let's not get it twisted. He might be an alright bloke after hours. This podcast is two producers casually chatting about things currently facing our business in the hope it will give some insight to those who don't know already. If you want to keep up to date and get involved with campaigns then follow Jerry Barnett @PornPanic Myles Jackman @ObscenityLawyer Ben Yates @PervLens and of course me @NakedTruthGuy . Anna Span: Feminist Porn Producer

Interesting chat with Anna about her time in politics, debates with anti porn campaigner Gail Dines, the problems producing porn and her new website project We Consent.org Anna is not a typical producer given her upbringing, background and education and decision to get into politics which is worth considering that some are driven to make porn for reasons other than what people think and the reason is not always motivated by money

    Decoding ATVOD

Follow @NafforfAtvod to whom we are grateful for taking time to speak at a UKAP (UK Adult Producers) meeting last year to shed some light of understanding on a topic that is still the source of much confusion to models and producers of their own content and websites which includes everyhting from paysites, Adult Work and Clips4Sale in its scope. If youve recieved a letter to notify ATVOD of your service then you should understand what you need to do by appealing to OFCOM NOT ATVOD One models site was moved to OFCOM for determination and this is discussed here among other things

    Talent Testing Services

LATATA.ORG is a testing service available to the US adult business in Los Angeles They were on their way over to the UK to see if they could set up business here in the UK. Thanks to Charlie Johnson of Pure CFNM for informing UKAP www.UKAdultProducers.org of this or it would have been embarrassing knowing that various professional companies who were informed prior of their planned visit were not interested in setting up a modern health service to the UK adult business because it was felt, there was not enough support for it. I took it upon myself to invite Jerry Barnett and two interested models to meet Dr Sixto and ex owner of ATMLA and now retired porn star Shy Love to document this event in te hope it will reignite interest in making it happen in the future.

Nichy Hodgson talks Ethical Porn Partnership

With censorship rearing its head in the media under the guise of child protection and the anti porn contingent on the uprise there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about the porn business where the UK is concerned. Journalist and author of "Bound To You" Nichi Hodgson discusses a project that may shed light and boost public confidence and even tolerance of certain kinds of adult content produced in the UK today as well as the business in general. You can follow her on Twitter @NichiHodgson http://www.ethicalporn.org/

    ATVOD

This recording was made at an AITA (Adult industry Trade Association) meeting in November 2011. Pete Johnson introduced ATVOD (the regulating body for Authority for Television On Demand) and explained how all UK websites came under this regulatory body and specified it was a legal requirement to do so. AITA was a trade body for the adult industry to meet up discuss and deal with (and if need be, action initiatives) on issues facing it ie R18 licensed sex shops, health issues for porn stars and models and much more working with MP's, lawyers and the media when a spokesperson was needed. Sadly it has now closed its doors due to lack of support from the adult industry in a rapidly changing environment The closest to this organisation left is UKAP (UK Adult Producers) which is an association of adult content producers. www.ukadultproducers.org of which Jerry Barnett is also friends with and who appreciate what he is doing by continuing to do what he does best: Championing the cause for civil liberties
