We’re noticing a serious broom shortage across Northeast Alberta after a wave of Round 1 playoff sweeps in the NEAJBHL. Hardware stores are confused, janitors are asking questions, and a few teams wasted absolutely no time moving on.This week, Chet and Dwayne break down everything from Round One of the playoffs, the standout performances, and the momentum heading into Round Two. We also name our Player of the Week from Round One, recognizing the player who stepped up when the stakes were highest.Playoff hockey is here — and things are heating up fast.

We’re back after an unintended week off.Dwayne battled another round of illness, Chet took a trip out east to see family — but don’t worry, the band regrouped in Edmonton for a National Lacrosse League game and got the energy back.This week we sit down with Nick Mantai, head coach of the Killam Wheat Kings, to talk consistency, development, and why he sees good things ahead if the group stays locked in. We also catch up with Landen Fallscheer, who’s returned home to Cold Lake after spending several seasons playing hockey in Germany — a great story and a great perspective.Plus, we’ve got our Player of the Game spotlight featuring a standout from the Vermilion Tigers, and an Around the League segment as the regular season starts to tighten up and every game begins to matter a little more.We missed a week… but we’re back.Episode 14 is live. 🎧🏒

Chet and Dwayne are back after a couple weeks off for the Holidays. No New Year's resolutions here, the band is happy to be back together to kick off 2026 and the last push to the playoffs. This week we're sharing 2 interviews we recorded before Christmas. Coach Danny Smyl and Dwayne talk about how St. Paul is working hard to get dialed in with new players, system and head coach. After that we'll share Chet's interview with Josh Dudding who is focusing on consistency and hard work as they battle for a bye down the stretch.
