Old Mrs. Moody's Summertime Safety Show—be careful on your bike!
It's a special episode with Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo—The Summertime Safety Show! They're talking all about bicycle safety. While chatting with some kiddos riding their bikes on the sidewalk, they discover everyone is headed to the Bicycle Rodeo in town! Catbaloo already knows all about it. Bicycle rodeos happen in cities and towns across the country. They're a great place to learn about bike safety—and they're also a great time, with carnival games, giveaways, and riding courses. In fact, the bike rodeo sounds like so much fun that Old Mrs. Moody decides it's time to dust off her old bike and join the rodeo herself!

Harry's Happy Heart
When Harry is in a very bad mood, his mother says, "Go outside and play, Harry. Being outdoors will make your heart feel happy!" And his mother is right. The warm sunshine on Harry's face feels wonderful, and his tail begins to wag—just a little bit. The fresh air feels so good that Harry decides to take a walk in the park. There, he meets a squirrel trying to dig a hole to bury acorns, a little boy whose sailboat has drifted into the middle of the pond, and a duck with both of her feet stuck deep in a mud puddle. But their trip is delayed when the car won't start, sending them on a short detour to Haney's Service Station. Pipi Pumpkinseed - one seed can feed a village
Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo are raking and digging and hoeing—getting the ground ready to plant a community pumpkin patch. As they begin to plant the pumpkin seeds, Catbaloo is reminded of her favorite story about seeds. It's the story of Pipi Pumpkinseed—a wise big brother mouse. With no food at home to feed his nine baby brothers and sisters, Pipi must venture out into the world to find them something to eat. When he returns with ten pumpkin seeds, he gives them sage advice: They can eat their seeds, and have full tummies for one night, or they can plant their seeds and have full tummies every night—forever. But they were too hungry to care about planting, or the future, and they each decided to eat their seeds at once. But Pipi didn't. Pipi planted his seed. Soon his one little pumpkin seed grew enough food to feed every mouse in every house in the county! This story is a story about the incredible miracle of seedtime and harvest. There is a lot to be learned from Pipi and his little pumpkin seed. Come listen in and learn a little bit about gardening and a lot about hope, faith, and love. It was pure joy to produce this episode for you and your little loves to listen to together. © 2025 - Old Mrs. Moody
