Part 1: Authors Unfiltered: Chaos, Creativity, Burnout & Comebacks

Welcome to the podcast with no name! Part Two: No Outline. No Plan. Just Author Chaos

We finally did it. No name for the podcast yet, but we've got four authors, three countries, and somehow nobody could agree on anything except that writing is slowly destroying all of us.JM Clarke and Andy Peloquin joined me and Andrew this week and it went exactly as unhinged as you'd expect. We got into burning 800,000 words to the ground and starting over, dictating yourself off a cliff at 70,000 words, whether Harry Potter is secretly the mother of progression fantasy, Homer basically running a Patreon in ancient Greece, and the neurologist who told JM "yeah don't do that" after three years of four hours sleep and pure chaos energy.Andy also showed up halfway through like he just wandered in from another conversation. Which he kind of did. And it was perfect.Somehow we go from burnout and existential dread to Jim Butcher accidentally outlining an entire fantasy series in college to death in a heartbeat. Classic.Oh and Andrew forgot it was on his calendar. Had to run and get coffee mid-setup. We started without him. No regrets. No outline. No rails. Honestly the only way to do this.If you want updates on the podcast and the books, comment 'newsletter' and I'll get you added to the list.#AuthorPodcast #FantasyAuthors #LitRPG #ProgressionFantasy #WritingCommunity #BehindTheBook #MarkOfTheFool #Darkblade

Haylock joined us from Australia (Part 2)

Haylock joined us from Australia at an ungodly hour and his five year old spent the last ten minutes spinning his chair on camera. Perfect ending honestly. We got into the two laptop writing setup that somehow still leads to distraction, why three star reviews hurt more than one stars, the science behind books literally making your muscles flex as you read, and accidentally plotted the entire apocalyptic ending to Heretical Fishing live on air. Also Andrew has a betta fish named Prisoner 411 who lives in isolation on his desk and stares at him while he writes. That's just a fact now.If you want updates on the podcast and our books, comment 'newsletter' and I'll add you to the list.#AuthorPodcast #FantasyAuthors #LitRPG #ProgressionFantasy #WritingCommunity #BehindTheBook #IndieAuthor

Three Authors. Three Countries. One Completely Unfiltered Conversation. (Part 2)

Me and Andrew finally started the podcast, and Brian spent the first 10 minutes muted while we just roasted him live. We got into everything. Andrew finally telling the full story of how Brian spent an entire convention thinking he was a failed YouTuber with 5k subs (he had 1.4 million), our legendary 14-hour Vegas drinking session where I was secretly getting quadruple pours all night, AI being completely useless for anything creative, writing entire series drunk, and the absolute out-of-body experience of editing your own old work years later.Somehow we go from heartfelt to unhinged in under five minutes.Brian also somehow made a character named after Andrew a massive dork as his way of "making it up to him." Classic.Three authors, three countries, and Brian couldn't speak for the first ten minutes.
