We're baccckkkkkkkk! Its been a bit since we've uploaded and touched base with everyone. So that being said... Hey, hi, how ya doing? We're fired up because its that beautiful time of the year again. The summer is almost here so we can hit the links and slice some golf balls, BUT... It is also time for the Stanley Cup playoffs! We smashed out a large episode after a bit of a hiatus and we felt good doing it. These are our predictions for the first round and we hope you all enjoy the hockey as much as we will. The Stanley Cup final is here and this is the MAIN EVENT we've been waiting for! This is The Rock vs The Undertaker of the NHL. Coleton is having an absolute field day with this one as we finally have the Tampa Bay Lightning vs The Colorado Avalanche. Both of these teams have been so strong for so long and they have been on collision course for what seems like years now. We break down the conference final matchups and recap what the storylines were from both sides. We of course give our predictions for who is taking home Lord Stanley's Cup and Mike ALSO gives his prediction for NEXT years Stanley Cup final! Bold... but we love to see it. How many ice cold beverages can you drink in 60 minutes of hockey? We have a number but you go first... Who do you got for the cup? What is UP guys! We hope you survived the first round and 5 (!) game sevens!! This was the best first round in recent memory, and we have some CRAZY matchups lined up for the second round! The boys dive into the 4 second round series. Who will take home the Battle of Alberta? And will they be healthy enough to keep their run going? Will Florida finally get past Tampa in the Battle of the Sunshine State or are we staring down the barrel of an unprecedented three-peat? Can anyone in the West slow down Colorado? Can Carolina insane home streak going? There's all to play for in this second round and we are so here for it! LETS GO! The battle over Lord Stanleys Cup is here and we're ready for another sick opening round of playoffs. You know the drill for our annual playoff predictions episodes! We go over every matchup and tell you who we like, hate, aren't so sure about, and break every one of those matchups down for you. Who's gonna go all the way and take the cup!? What is UP guys! We're back! The playoff race has heated up considerably, and a couple key contenders are facing down the barrel of an early summer golf trip. Can Vegas pull it together in time? Can LA hold on? Are the Arizona Coyotes still a flaming pile of trash? These are the type of hard hitting question the boys tackle this week. With the playoffs around the corner, of course we're starting to see the injuries pile up. Which key injuries do the boys think will make the difference come playoff time, and which teams have the best plug-and-play replacements? Teams signing NCAA talent seem to be doing something right in this regard. As you might be able to tell, we were on a heater this week. Plenty to talk about, and next time you hear from us it'll be playoff prediction time so fasten your seatbelts because the business end of the NHL season is here!

The boys are back! Our first post-trade deadline episode has lots of talk about the one thing no fan wants to hear about: injuries. As soon as rosters locked, it seems like we've seen a slew of bad injuries to competitive teams (Colorado we're looking at you). Can these teams handle the losses and has the playoff picture changed as a result? We also had to talk the annual GM meetings taking place this week. As per usual, big Gary B is making a fool of himself, but at least maybe we'll see some movement on the LTIR regulations... Who knows? Well, it's trade deadline week! The boys recorded shortly after the 3pm trade deadline on Monday and ran through all the big moves from the past few days. We have a bunch of contenders adding pieces, draft picks flying left right and centre, and Kevin Weekes reporting trades from the Moon! Listen in to find out who we think won deadline day, where cup contenders stand in comparison to pre-deadline, and what we think of how high the pending UFA market was set this year! Whoah! The boys are back again talking all things hockey! With the trade deadline fast approaching, we spend some time talking LTIR moves, trade possibilities, and the shifting market of buyers and sellers. We also had to talk player awards, with some crazy goalie performances this year and Auston Matthews on pace for a million goals we're in for a fun race to the finish for Hart, Vezina, Art Ross, Selke and Rocket Richard trophies! We dive into the details of the NHL refs' latest gaffes and discuss what the league can do to fix an ongoing issue that only seems to be getting worse. Back in business baby! A little late on the upload as per usual but we're back which means another fantastic episode in the books. We're back with another week of The Pond! Our first episode since the All-Star break starts with a dive into the ASG Skills Competition. Find out what worked, what didn't, and who got screwed betting on the breakaway challenge. We also have our fifth coaching change among Canadian teams this season with Dave Tippet getting the boot in Edmonton. Will the Oilers be able to turn their season around? All-Star Weekend is coming up and the NHL finally looks like they have some entertaining events in store! The boys talk the upcoming All-Star break: missing names, new skills competitions AND should it just always be in Vegas? We took a detour to shit on the Philadelphia Flyers (Who isn't these days) and speculated on some trade potential for the approaching trade deadline. Another team that's been on a slide with some fun news is the Edmonton Oilers, more specifically, Evander Kane. Kane has 2 goals in 2 games for the Oil, will he keep it up or should fantasy managers be looking to sell high while he's hot? Finally we had to break down the international tourneys coming up. Canada's Olympic Men's hockey roster gets some love, and we quickly chat the World Juniors potentially coming back this summer. All that and definitely more that I forgot about while writing this... There was a time where hockey was really awesome and the games were really entertaining. Yes sirrr were talking about right now baby! The NHL has been insane the last couple weeks and were here to break it down for everyone. We gotta talk Orlov's 2 game suspension and our take on it. If i knew where we were gonna be in approximately a week from now, then we would most likely be time travellers, or psychics. But it seems like we are guessing the next move of these teams PERFECTLY. Not to pat ourselves on the back but i think we have done a decent job in the past and to be honest, we half know what were talking about. The new year is here and were back once again talking everyones favourite sport. We've been taking some time off in the month of December but were back and energized and ready to get things going baby! Guuuuys we are BACK with plenty to talk about on another great summertime episode of The Pond. As you may have heard, silly season is in full swing and the NHL definitely got the memo. With free agency starting this week we have plenty of massive free agent signings to update you on and a few big time trades as well. With all these roster changes the league is going to be a very different place on opening night than it was last season! With Arizona pulling themselves out of the depths with some smart moves this offseason, The Pond has switched its dumpster fire watch to Buffalo, where the boys sound off on the management of Jack Eichel's neck injury. We also have some less fortunate storylines we had to touch on this week. We are just into the offseason and THINGS ARE HEATING UP! It looks like there are trades and signings happening almost on a daily basis, and were here for it! Makes our job a little easier and gives you guys things to think about over the summer before we dive into another season. This episode, were back at home base as the tour comes to an end. It's sad, but it will be back one day as we toured around Ontario from cottage to cottage recording in some pretty sweet places. The road trip keeps going on as we enter into the best worst time of the year.
